Good look at the prep before the storm and Golly darn shoot Owen. Gotta clean it up on camera…lol… Owen’s annoying expressions are hilarious .🤣 Bravo Mike for troubleshooting that connection issue . Be safe Plow Bros .🙏💪🏽🚜❄️🗻
I always enjoy your videos 👍👍. I’m just like you just waiting for this storm, one thing about it, after last winter you guys have tons of experience for this.
And BTW -- Ben's NOT running a commercial operation from his private residence. He's running a PRIVATE RESIDENCE from his private residence. Just so happens to have a shitload of parking space which will get the loaders off the street -- which from the Town Council's POV oughta be preferable to parking ON the street. Anyway, if you've seen their actual office there IS no parking; only other alternative is parking out on the South Moat out of town, which makes it that much harder to recover equipment and get it back in town during a snowstorm - almost defeats the purpose.
Hate to inform you of this, unless you have lock out hubs on the front, you need to keep it in 2 wheel high on dry asphalt or concrete roads. On dirt, mud or whatever, 4 wheel high lock is fine.
3-5 feet of snow is a good forecast considering the strength of the atmospheric river involved. The heartbreak is coming to those to the southwest near the coast where some areas will see a foot of rain. The LA area could see 3/4 of their annual rainfall in 2 days.
16:25 I personally would recommend NOT running in 4H full-time, especially on dry pavement. My understanding is the transfer case will start binding if the wheels run on dry pavement for any sizable distance because the front and rear axles/diffs rotate at different speeds.
Electrical tape does not stop moisture from getting in connectors. crimp connectors are the fast way to fix something They always come loose or get moisture in them.
With more equipment placed @ your current location, you should see about a EXTENAL fuel rig from your favorite fueling company (bulk storage tank w/pumping equipment.
Get the heat shrinkable splice connectors and a set of Klein 1005 cutter/crimpers that really crimp the wires so they don’t pull out. You’ll have a near permanent waterproof fix!
It's believable in this case. When it's dumping 9" of rain in L.A. from the same system the Sierra crest is gonna get a metric shit-ton of snowfall out of this atmospheric river. Every BIT of 5 feet.
@@briane173 maybe we will get the 5 feet eventually by the time this system is done, but the Sunday into Monday storm only dropped about 3 1/2 feet on Mammoth Mountain, 2 1/2 feet in the upper elevations of town and we got about a foot at our elevation by the hospital. It’s still snowing, although very lightly.
Apparently, she wasn’t seated properly when she got on the lift, she started to slip, her chair mates tried to catch her and hold on, until she dropped into the tarp being held below by ski patrol, lift operators, and volunteers. She was treated in our hospital with minor spinal fractures and was released. I heard she’s going to be OK.
@@Mermaid4Ever we heard it on the news over here in Shasta Lake. That’s why I don’t know ski never learned never cared for it, but I could water ski like a big dog.

Awww, the puppies.
I like the chains that have the diamond pattern. The doggies will enjoy 3-5 feet of snow to rumble in.

There were days when they almost couldn't.
Thought this was from the storm but no. Nothing fresh here. Must be down south.
When the weather people call for 5 feet. Never believe it.

Tell us a story about the girl falling off the lift at Mammoth
