Very fun video as usual. Two recommendations: Fliptown I saw was already mentioned. Its a fun poker(ish) based flip and write with good decision space and works great solo as well. The other is Waypoints by Postmark games. Its a roll and write on a topographic map and your movement points allow you to cross the elevation lines. I dont know why exactly but this game really speaks to me and I highly recommend. Also its a print and play so its cheap to give it a shot.
Totally agree on Welcome to the Moon as #1. Trails of Tucana and Silver & Gold have gotten the most plays of any roll and writes in my collection due to their simplicity and accessibility. Excellent list!
Great list. Here's ALL the roll and writes I've played, ever, ranked: 1. Voll Verplant/Metro X 2. Welcome to the Moon 3. Trails of Tucana 4. My City Roll & Build 5. Welcome to... 6. Ganz Schön Clever 7. Three Sisters 8. Fleet Dice Game 9. On Tour 10. Rajas of the Ganges: The Dice Charmers 11. Hadrian's Wall 12. Kingdomino Duel 13. Orléans: Joan of Arc 14. Get On Board 15. Railroad Ink 16. Cartographers 17. Demeter 18. Motor City 19. Castles of Burgundy Dice 20. Troyes Dice 21. Cat Café 22. Corinth 23. Clever Hoch Drei 24. Twice as Clever 25. Copenhagen Roll & Write 26. Florenza Dice game 27. Escape Roll & Write 28. Kokoro 29. Avenue 30. Alhambra Roll & Write 31. Rolled West 32. Imperial Settlers: Roll & Write 33. Rome & Roll (after 17 they start getting pretty bad...)
@@guzel_games in every world. It's far better. Plus I got so addicted to that stupid game I played it like 100 times on the app. The others overcomplicated things and made it less streamlined and therefore less fun.
@@nchlsrdmr I can see how you would say the others are more complicated, but I feel like the first one is so easy to optimize and you are really reliant on good rolls. But you do you, different preferences
There is an informal expression in portuguese that I am going to use here: Bob giving everything in that ad spot! xD Looking at my ratings, my top roll&write is Roll Through the Ages (if it counts as one) followed by Railroad ink. I feel like I do enjoy r&w games, but I had to scroll quite a lot in my ratings to get to the first one. Maybe I like them less than what I think ^^
Great list! Trails of Tucana is my all time favourite if we're talking family Flip&write (can be played at 8+ people no problem)! Fliptown and Fleet the Dice Game are the 2 others I really enjoy, midweight fun games with some nice interaction in the case of Fleet!
You should really try to get Three Sisters (maybe the German version might work, if the English one is hard to get hold of), it's great and I enjoy the vibrant theme much more than Motorcity's. Thanks for your entertaining videos. 👍
Lol, you totally sold me, SUBSCRIBED! Lol, but seriously I totally enjoy watching your channel, absolutely thank you for great content! Love your list. I enjoy roll and writes every once and a while, so I'm glad to hear of some different options. I'd suggest Next Station London and maybe Patchwork doodle as options.
I agree with Johannes that Ganz Schon Clever is more fun to play as an app than in physical. The same thing is for me with Fleet the Dice Game! Better as an app😉 Also love Three sisters😊
My most played Roll n Write is definitely Fleet the Dice Game --- the original Fleet was one of our groups favorite games early on. Even Fleet Wharfside is still one of our 2 player Go-To's --- so Fleet the Dice Game was a No-Brainer! :-) Thanks for the Vid (and game suggestions!)
Great list, I have a very unconventional list but it is filled with Roll and Writes EVERYONE who loves the genre should try. Best part some are cheap 1.Waypoints by Postmark games it’s a Print and Play. This game is absolutely amazing and I love it so much. It’s a path/route building roll and write and my family has very much enjoyed it. As it’s only about 5$ everyone should get this. 2. Troyes the dice game. Very unique R&W that feels very distinct but it’s a blast. Defending against the negatives in this is a lot of fun. I believe it’s getting harder to find so worth checking out 3. Fleet the Dice game. I don’t know why I own every game in this series when I just keep going back to Fleet. It’s my favorite. Maybe I’m just partial to the fishing and licenses for fish theme IDK. This is one of the heavier R&W’s though so know that going in. It’s definitely still pretty accessible but you do have 2 sheets. 4. Railroad Ink. I play the digital version of this and Ganz Shon Clever all the time. I love the app for this game especially. It works great as an app and it’s not that expensive. Has two great expansions in forest and desert and you can keep yourself entertained for a long time. I think it works better digitally with the great app than physically. 5.I left this as 5 because It’s actually a flip and write but Next Station London and Tokyo are awesome. Love them both. I also love Joan of Arc but didn’t feel that game differentiated from Orleans enough. So when I try to decide on a game I also end up picking Orleans over it because the experiences are similar.
Have you tried the Clever Mixed app? It appears to be a mashup of the four previous games. I’m wondering if it would be better to simply buy the digital implementation of Ganz Schon Clever.

Thank you so much for the reccomendations :) Glad you liked the video!
Great to see Motor City on this list! It's one of my favorite roll and write games as well, super underrated.

Silver & Gold and Metro X were our most played games last year for the same reason XD
I enjoyed the new Silver & Gold from Spiel a lot! Glad you liked the video 😁
That's the Pyramids-themed one, ya? That sounds right up my alley@@BoardGamingRamblings

In what world would you prefer Ganz schön Clever over any of it's sequels?

Hahahaha :P Thank you :D
Fleet the dice game is great!

Also I suggest Dinosaur Island Rawr and Write
Haha, I loved your #1 countdown 😀
Ow, and another recommendation for Fleet, The Dice Game! 😉

I love your crossover dance!😊😊😊😊
Ganz Schon Clever is THE OG of RnWs.
Yes, it was very important for the genre for sure! :)
Fleet is great. Love that you have Trails of Toucana on your list. I think it's so underrated.
Need to play Fleet! Everyone seems to like it, but we haven’t had the chance to try yet!
I agree with Johannes that Ganz Schon Clever is more fun to play as an app than in physical. The same thing is for me with Fleet the Dice Game! Better as an app😉 Also love Three sisters😊
Fleet the dice game is great! Yes, from the same people as Motor City (which I haven't gotten to the table yet).
Draft & Write Records is also a fantastic game. Give it a try! :)
Thank you! Will check it out!

Will play it as soon as we get a chence! Glad you liked the video :)

Thank you for sharing your list! So fun to read 🤩
That was an ad worth watching 😂
Haha, thank you 😂
Thank you!
Thank you for watching 😁
I'm surprised you didn't have No Siesta and Fleet the dice game.
Haven’t played Fleet, and it’s been ages since No Siesta. I remember liking it, but not loving it.
Play Fliptown and your lists will change!!
Seems like we need to find a copy! Thanks for the suggestion!
Is fliptown that good? I was interested by the cover and info about it.
Thank you!
Glad you enjoyed it 🤩
