I have orientation next Monday and I’m excited but also nervous. My job is the guest advocate/front store attendant and I feel like that’s the best position for me because seeing all these other positions I feel like this one might be the easiest to memorise. But do you have any tips for the first week? I feel like my Target’s environment is pretty good, all the people that I have talked to so far regarding the process of my application have been super nice and understanding, because I’m currently finishing my semester up at college, and it’s not in my hometown like Target is, so they’ve been super accommodating for me, because they were looking for someone full-time, but they hired me for the seasonal summer! Also, what ‘quarter’ is the summer?
First couple weeks you should be with someone that trains you on how to do that position. Just get enough sleep and be prepared to learn a lot in the those days. Don’t be afraid to ask questions if you do not understand anything.I believe it is still quarter 2 or entering 3 but not quite sure.
Update: Just had my orientation today and it was amazing! My trainer was super friendly and helpful, and I have a whole 2.5 weeks of training! Got a little over my desired hours which I am happy about, and I feel/know that I’m gonna like working here. Thank you for all the advice, and I hope you’re doing better!
