- The year's 2017 and Thameslinnk are introducing their new state-of-the-art Class 700 fleet. There were a lot of new features and changes, some for the better, some for the much worse. Please consider liking and subscribing.
I can't say I agree I am afraid. I use Thameslink several times a week and don't find the seats an issue, nor lack of tables or etc. It is a commuter service and I would far rather people can get on and shifted rather than copious space for the seats. They are perfectly fine to sit on and are ergonomic in the sense that you tend to maintain a good posture, and this coming from someone who is 6'5. I think any 'controversy', such as it is, is totally overblown.
It's not bad for commuter service, my issue is with the long distance. Though most people use it to commute and for that I think the 700's acually do fairly well, long distance not so much. It probably largly comes down to personal experiance and opinions though.
@@GlobeSync1 Thameslink is not actually intended as a long distance train operator, one of it's main intentions is to remove the need to terminate in central London by running though it instead of stopping outside the center, I myself have used it before on cross city trips. the advanced displays often make up for the seats personally speaking.
@@TheHumanoidMicrowave I'm aware of that, but still mad that the seats are that bad.
😮 Really great editing! I must ask how you do it! 😅
I use Final Cut Pro on a Macbook (Apple silicon) to edit. Tbh I don't know how exactly how I would explain it but I've been editing for a few years now and just learn as I go!
These are my local trains and I must say they are good trains themselves, it's just that Thameslink isn't very reliable. I'd say the main issue with Thameslink is the operation rather than the trains itself. Otherwise, nice video!
Thanks!
couldn't agree more, service becomes as reliable as a roll of a dice as soon as you get off the main trunk route
You can have good seats on commuter trains. The Class 507 and Class 508 had fantastic seats on Merseyrail, and I'd still call those commuter style seats. It's such a shame the Class 777 seats are the rock bottom of seating standards, and I'm not even exaggerating, it feels like sitting on a stone wall
great video! nice editing
i love the foresight of a legal claim; made me laugh
Brilliant vid! Can you review the ScotRail 380’s? My favourite train.
Also, I suggest doing a Glasgow central to Largs service, and go into nardinis at Largs and getting a pizza. You won’t regret it
Thanks! I live on the Great Western Mainline so going to Scotland is a big trip, but I should be visiting there next month so I'll see if I can do a review on the 380!
its maximum 2h20m from bedford to brighton and no one is going that far
Yes, thanks for the correction. Obviously almost nobody is traveling that long distance on Thameslink.
nice
Thanks!
they are such annoying and poor quality choo choo compared to superior units like the 450 desiro
I use the 350's, 444's and 450's quite a lot, they are very nice trains and much better than the 700!
