- Trip Lee suffers from a Chronic Illness and JBo and he discussed how to respond to people who believe that having more faith can lead to healing. Trip Lee shares that while he believes God is willing and able to heal, there may be other factors at play that he does not understand. And on top of that, we gotta figure out how to talk about all this with non-believers who might be struggling to make sense of their own suffering. Very encouraging! I’ve been prayed for several times for healing. But still experiencing pain. Somedays it’s less than others. But I love the perspective. God knows something I don’t a what I need for this season!

This is good and I’m grateful to have sat in on this conversation. As someone who deals heavily with PCOS, hormonal metabolic imbalance, I empathize deeply with Trip. I think one thing that’s held me in enduring hope is that I truly believe that these ailments are actually thorns that keep us dependent on Christ in a way that maybe we wouldn’t have been without them. I believe we could see them as painful secret weapons to be able to find a real rest, dependence and surrender in His hands. I think, if we let them, these ailments are actually the greatest tools He gave us.

Love this! Trip Lee speaks with so much maturity and wisdom. I remember when I discovered his music and Lecrae when I was a teenager, I was so surprised and thrilled to finally be able to listen to music that had good lyrics, glorified God, and had a good beat. Definitely helped me to have an alternative to other types of secular music at the time.
