I tailed that Audi in illinois in September for about half an hour. Not sure how they didn't get pulled over. We passed two state patrol officers at 95 in a 70. Really cool to tail them for a bit
We need a Lemons run. Get a bunch of teams together in 2904 fashion, but everyone has to run in REALLY (legit $500 cars) cheap shit boxes. Winner is the fastest time, or the team that makes it the furthest if everyone breaks down.

Depends on the state. In PA, reckless driving is a fine, and license suspension. But! You are innocent until proven guilty in court. When I was young and stupid, I got pulled over for 63 over, got my tickets and went on my way.

If Doug had been pulled over doing those speeds here in Australia, he would instantly lose his licence on the spot and be taken to prison for atleast 3 years

@@JimBobe 20kph over here and they impound your car due to the "hoon act" and you will have your licence taken for 3 months minimum, the laws over here are so fucked

20kmph is rough. 40 over here in NZ is a big ticket and day in court for dangerous/reckless driving....50kmph over is your car on a tow truck, instant loss if licence and off to court for more.

Love this channel, love all the content and stories, but you need a better media editor, the sound on these is all over the place in volume and quality. Yes, that's to do with the quality of the source, but an editor with sound expertise can clean this all up.

Is there a rule in cannonball that says you have to complete the drive from the east to west in one car? why not skip the gas stops and just have cars strategically placed where you would have otherwise slowed down and exited the highways to fuel up. so instead you can just remain on the highways and swap vehicles and save all the time wasted to exit and fuel up.
I can only assume this hasn't been done because either no one has thought of this or the cost associated with modifying multiple cars to be suitable for the challenge, getting them shipped out to where they need to be, and working out and getting people to stage and have the cars ready for you.
But considering some of the individuals who attempt these records have deep pockets and some even willing to pay people to scout for police or to distract the law.. I don't see why one of these individuals just don't attempt this idea of utilizing multiple vehicles to bypass refueling.

I miss the lockdown traffic. I was lucky enough to be essential. Typical rush hour traffic drive home from work is about 1.5 hours. During lockdown it took my about 20-25 minutes to get home. I miss it so much, however I DO NOT WANT ANOTHER LOCKDOWN, but man it was sweet driving.
Wasn't it great, it's a feeling of freedom that some people never will know or get.

I've got a story like his getting chased by police one... I was in a mk3 golf though and overtook the cop that was in the middle of a pack of 3 cars doing about 110 in a 50.. Just kept it pinned, I saw the lights flashing for a split second before I was out of there, pulled Into my driveway flipped off the lights and the engine about 10 seconds later the cop went flying by with lights on sirens going and everything 🤣🤣
OK, but is 24 hours and 54 seconds less than a day? No, it is greater that a day. OK, it is amazing and a wonderful accomplishment , but.....more than a day.
Honestly I truly wish I had been told about the worst transmission ever made = the 4L60E I got wicked deals on only 4 door, 4x4, 2007 GMC truck with mint interior, loaded! With Bose system and good old flip down dvd player for the kids if you had any hahah we don't but with only 150,000kms on it for 1000$ Canadian aka worthless money hahah got least 50/60km out it and one night I accidentally hit 170km and boom trans blew up but I'm on highway and not paying crazy tow bill hahah so I drove a girl home bout 20km slow AF horrible sounds coming from it hahah off highway drop her off and winter 500ft driveway and wasn't trying out the 4x4 so I barely got it to unplowed road and off we go back to my house on slower 80km road we went another 25 plus kms and tried to roll round corner having to turn 90° right immediately up a long hill then a over pass exactly where it broke it on hway and barely made it up the little hill. Told my buddie it's done he not a car guy is like no it's not hahaha like here look 1,2,3,D or even. R doesn't move us so we had to get out and push it off the snowy Rd and call my dad boy he was happy. Weeks later 2004 flawless red shortbox stepside cateye Chevy 2wd same trans in it I'm with my mom and she turned corner barely moving after corner and bam. So the 4x4 is "fixed" to run and I need two 4L80Es for a great price one 4x4 and one 2wd of course hahahaha Thanks so much 💯👌🏼 even the 04 Stepside after my dad making me sell a 89/90 Stepside red Chevy with factory color matched I seen a guy off over 3000$ for the rear cap about 15yrs ago lol he didn't but sold the truck red interior minty, chrome spot light row on roof, 350ci v8, no governor. I'll pay anything to replace it and or build the 04 into a nasty street truck 🙏🏼😊 Sorry for the book everyone just got pics of that first truck all over the walls and he sold immaculate for 1750$ will never forget it and know right where it is if ever available 🙏🏼
There's one more way to spot the police that has come to my attention a lot of them have Wi-Fi hotspots equipped and leave them on and some of them have really obvious I'm a cop addresses officer and a number even
Wifi doesn't travel far enough to give any type of warning ahead of the radar capabilities
@@Adam-uu5pt it sure is nice though when you're traveling at middle of the night and the line of vehicles behind you could be a police officer there that may have the radar off and you're getting annoyed by all the lights glaring back at you it's just another signal
@@philiprizek6384 Maybe, but there's no good way to implement any sort of monitoring system that wouldn't just add a distraction that would be more likely to get you a ticket than it would be to save you from one
If you're driving far enough above the speed limit to be concerned about police, the best thing to do is assume every unknown vehicle is one. If you notice a car that's keeping up with you or gaining on you from behind, slow down and let them get close enough to identify them, and then carry on.
These days, unless I can find another driver to serve as "bear bait" or I'm on a secluded back road, I drive within the acceptable +10-15mph I'd be willing to get a ticket for... Honestly the bear bait tactic is one that's allowed me to drive triple digits for multiple hours without any concern 🙂
