- The introduction of Psychopath No. 2 (The Quaker) from the 2012 independent film "Seven Psychopaths" featuring Sam Rockwell, Colin Farrell, Woody Harrelson, and Christopher Walken. GREAT STORY!!!!!!
That smoke he takes as his throat bleeds is the pure embodiment of “I’ll see you in hell”
The ultimate "see you in hell" moment.
This makes the Quaker the single most badass character in history.
Yes.
I'll remember to tell this to my kids as a bedtime story.
Edgy 😫💦
Same dude, same.
No balls. Lol
I would tell my kid this story, but the damn kid got killed by some dude who I'm waiting for to get out of prison!!
Psychological torture......the guy repents, finds Jesus, is on a positive path for decades, doing no wrong deed, and if he was murdered, would end up in heaven. The Quaker refused to kill him and let him end up in heaven, he wanted him to go to hell by psychologically torturing him to the point of suicide, only to realize he is coming with him to hell for eternal torture.......one of the greatest scenes in recent movie history.
A man who truly believes in Hell being so tormented he would face it to escape the Quaker. That is true damnation.
Yeah this is badass only thing is after all those years most likely the Quaker would've died of old age always smoking and shit lol but I love this story so fuckin much
I guess they both lived. This story wasn't just a story in the movie, it was shown later that the quaker had the marks to prove it; he didn't attempt again, which means that the killer was still alive as well... this scene had really curved my expectations... the whole idea was that the quaker wanted an answer from the killer, as to why did he do it...
@@admirosmanovic1368 My great aunt lived to be 108 years old, outlived all her children and a few of her grandchildren, never had Alzheimers and when she finally did die she was tending her garden like she'd be doing for literally a century. When I asked her what was the secret to her longevity she answered, "nomas los pendejos o cabrones viven larga vida" and gave me a wink and a shit eating grin.
This is what happens when you don't eat your oatmeal
The Quaker was watching The Killer cut his own throat, watching him guarantee a spot in hell for him, and it wasn’t good enough. He wanted to take everything from him, including this small, meaningless victory. So he himself went to hell, just to wipe that look off his face.
Dude he slit his through without emotion and then continued to smoke, fucking savage😂💪🏻
Def Seeker learn too spell
ThePeaceMaker28 oh, yeah, the name? It’s short for deftestseeker. Not deaf seeker. Also can be spelled differently in french for détesté seeker, the word détesté meaning hated. Care for me to make you feel any stupider?
Def Seeker he was talking about throat.
Cedrik Martin oh, well no I didn’t even see that. I know how to spell throat. My phone autocorrects things 24/7
Def Seeker oh i know im not blaming you the guy was a dick but he wasnt talking about your name thats why i said that.
I take the Quaker's long and unblinking stare at the end even after doing the deed as a symbol of his unwavering determination of quiet vengeance. I bet the directors told the actor to not blink.
Harry Dean Stanton is the name, a legend, my friend.
The first time I watched this and I don't know how, I didn't realise that the quaker cut his own throat as a way to follow him to hell to continue tormenting him. Just thought his only purpose was to torment the man, and once he killed himself, his job was done. It's a great movie
I found this really scary
Quote Genius5563 thats the point my friend
Pussy.
This story would make a great film alone. Wonderfully told story.
You know this is part of a film right?
And one of the two survived and is played by Christopher Walken. Probably the convict.
@@relish1192 He knows, which is why he's pointing out that it's good enough to be a standalone film.
This is actually really terrifying
Dont be a killer or hell awaits ?
Kinda like that
@@hellatze The quaker created yet another personal hell within hell for the killer, too.
RIP Harry Dean Stanton the great quaker.
Remember when you where smoking with your throat cut? Pepperidge farm remembers
Quaker oats guy really got hard after his stint in prison
Martin McDonagh is one the best directors of our generation. He has 3 movies and all three are excellent.
The daughter of the Quaker went missing. And when she was discovered, the slit on her throat turned out to be the least of the damage done to her. Her killer, who's name shall not be noted, could not bare the guilt and the horror he set. And the year of the day of her death, he walked into a police station and gave himself up. And though he asked for execution, the Judge gave him Life. And The Killer was sent off to Jail to serve out his sentence. 17 long years went by. The Killer found religion. And was sincere about it. He had chanced. And if he had ever been a psychopath, he was not one anymore. This story isn't about him. Many more years went by, the authorities finally realized that it wasn't a scam, that he DID truly mean it. That he HAD truly repented. And they decided to set him free. And he found himself a place to stay, and he determined to live a simple, joyous life in the years now left to him.......A simple, joyous life was not what was left of him. *The Quaker would appear anywhere, staring at The Killer at any given time from a distance.* This went on for 11 fucking years until finally The Killer went mad. And one Winter night, while recalling a Catholic tract he read which stated that the only people guaranteed a place in Hell, were not murderers..were not rapist..but those who had died by their own hands. The Killer accepted such an idea as beautiful. For he knew that at least in Hell, The Quaker would not be there. So he cut his own throat open, and the last thing that The Killer ever saw, was the old man take out a cutthroat razor of his own, put it to his own throat..... and slice.
The Zany Spirit Was there any point writing all that out?
Jack Challenge yes
Byrdflough Incorrect.
John Doe Not really though
Jack Challenge yes
SWEET DEATH IS MY RELEASE!
quaker : ah ah ah not so fast
🤣🤣
I love this movie and I love the demented nature of each Psycho, especially the Quaker he was the most terrifying of them all.
I love this fucking movie
so a great sequence in this movie,...RIP Mr Stanton
Wow....this is amazing, he went to hell just to haunt him....But what exaclty quaker means? I am not native.
SusanoRipper it was a group of christians pushed out of england by the king also so he didnt have to owe the lead quaker (william penn)s father anymore so thenking booted them out and gave them the land known now as Pennsylvania to them theyve since died out as a religion i think
is etnic (group of persons that usually have their own race, land and culture) group of conservative and religious farmers in my country (colombia) is a mark of ''oats'' called ''quaker oats''
i wasnt saying quakers oats was from colombia,i was saying that in my country was a mark of quaker oats
Most Quakers dont dress in plain dress.
They are pacifists and very religious. The Quaker literally betrayed his religion and moral beliefs to follow the killer into hell.
Crispin Glover and Harry Dean Stanton, in the same scene, and hardly anyone ever notices.
Pretty sure that isn't Crispin Glover
Francisco H Coronado
Look in the front row of the courtroom, he's there. It's a quick cameo, but it's him.
Ok, now THAT seems to be indeed Crispin Glover :p (I thought you were talking about the killer)
Glover confirmed on reddit some time ago that it wasn't him.
It's just a matter of time when Martin McDonagh wins an Oscar for a screenplay.
The ultimate reverse uno card.
Rest in peace Harry Dean Stanton.
Just so people know the Quaker is Christopher walken character I thought this was well known but it appears some people dont know this
Harry Dean Stanton is one of those actors who deserves to be on the lips of all of those who love the art of acting. Absolutely fantastic performer his entire life, even if many of his roles were character parts rather than leads. Working for everyone from Coppola to Scorsese to John Carpenter to Ridley Scott to David Lynch to Win Wenders to John Hughes and always being memorable even if he was only in the film for a few scenes, or, in this case, even if he doesn't say a *word.* Rest in peace, Harry.
Rest In Peace Harry Dean Stanton (;the Quaker)
This warrants a movie of it's own. This story is full of horror potential.
Quaker oats
So the Quaker would rather torment his daughter’s killer in hell for eternity than be reunited with his daughter in heaven?
Haunting scene, excellent acting from Stanton
Christoper Walken is the Quaker
really?\
Harry Dean Stanton doesn't age after 28 years?
If this story was made into its own movie it would be awesome!
*You will not escape what you have done*
So simple, so perfect, so dark. This is a damn good shirt story with a damn good short film behind it
Great short story and great movie, I think most fathers/mothers can relate to this story, we love our kids so much that if anyone was to snatch them away from us then they would have hell to pay for it, at least I know that's how I feel. Normal men/women would die and/or kill for their children, some are just more creative than others... Like the Quaker.
H-holy smokes!
0:56 I love this shot and the music
quaker is the dopest
What a beautiful, well-narrated story
Guy was watching him if he'd remain true to his repentance and he shook his head when he was about to kill himself, as in he wouldn't escape him like that, nor was it the right thing to do.
Good story!
I saw a George McFly
You ain't getting away that easy
Damn...that was heavy
help me please.
Is there another movie that told this exact story?
I'm sure I've seen this outside of the movie Seven Psychopaths.
This scene should have been told by Walken as I don't get why he has the scar on his throat under his cravat. Imagine Walken saying this badness!
It's because he was the Quaker :/// that's why they showed the scar
should've just went down and confronted the Quaker or get a restraining order
How would you get a restraining order for a man whose name you don’t know, you gunna tell them what he looks like and hope for the best?
Plus if you confront him, it’ll make you look like a crazy guy harassing an old man.
well when i i said confront i meant just like talk to him and talk to him didn't mean beat him up or anything and restraining order i mean he killed his daughter I'm sure he would be able to find out his name
How can you confront the father of the girl you murdered.
The movie could’ve ended here and I would’ve been perfectly fine with that.
Hannibal Lecter soils his drawers when he hears about the Quaker.
This is one of the most underrated movies ever
Indeed it is! I remember the first time I watched this, I laughed my ass off the whole way through. Very few movies can make me laugh so hard and make me feel moved at the end.
I just noticed that there's a ton of symbolism in Marty crossing out Buddhist and replacing it with Quaker. It mirrors Hans's (the Quaker) use of the Buddhist/Vietnamese psychopath's story as a metaphor for giving up the hatred and anger that he felt when avenging his daughter.
All the guy had to do was put up with it for a few years longer. Its not like the Quaker was gonna live forever, especially as a smoker.
damn
Imagine hearing this story from a friend, and then finding out it’s true.
It’ll take him 10 years to write what he needs if that’s how slow he writes one word
Like atleast 28 years and neither him nor the Quaker seem to age lol
...but the quaker...and his oats had to be sown.
Sen neçe bir Kralsın
I love this story.
It’s a good one.
So many years pasted and neither aged
I fell asleep whats happenin oh jesus
awesome !
What a legend that quaker what a legend indeed
Once in Hell, Lucifer proceeded to demonstrate that nobody does being a bastard quite like him.
To this end, he condemned the Quaker to be the former convict's personal torturer for all eternity. Yet rendered the Quaker completely incapable of revealing his identity to the ex-con in any faculty. Thus providing the Convict a single comfort in his damnation (the perceived escape from his mortal tormentor)...and the only one the Quaker killed himself to deny the Convict in the first place...
Am i the only one that thought that this scene was REALLY FUNNY? i mean he thought he was free from him but sike he does the same thing just to torrure him😂😂😂
Josef Alaalatoa he died with the few moments of terror that he would be followed by him till the end
I mean the movie is hilarious but I'm not sure this scene was meant to be funny...
I hate idea that suicide is a for sure way to end up in hell it makes no sense and I wish they didn't make it so obviously sad that there rules are bs
religion is non-existent so no worries
I believe in god, and the idea of suicide getting you a one way ticket to hell is logical.
Because, god gave you life, so he would punish you for taking it for granted.
@@AngelProxyOfficial ........................... ACTUALLY life is irrational and chaotic, therefore suicide is a part of life.
That wasn't a psychopath
Cameron Bird Killing yourself to follow a man who has done wrong to you and repented to the afterlife is very psychotic.
I was under the impression that a psychopath was someone who couldn't feel empathy.
Psychopath is a blanket term that covers anyone who lacks the ability of emotion, but still uses it to give the illusion they are normal.
"If he had ever been a psychopath he was not one anymore"
christ can you listen?
@@kaiser8159 honestly a long time since i watched this but maybe I should have been more specific so you wouldn't get confused
I just noticed this..I knew when the quacker cut his throat he didnt blink but I always thought the killer did blink now I noticed he didnt blink either lmaoo it wouldve been better if the killer blinked
Holy shit this is first time I've seen this video !!!!!!!!!
The movie is funny and incredibly badass. Honestly, I watched one day, it deserves a lot more credit than given. Honestly, it's a movie on my list of "I wish I could watch it the first time again."
