Just a suggestion Mateo. Our body heat released when sleeping creates a lot of moisture underneath a mattress if there is no air flow. It’s a really good idea to drill some holes into that platform you just built, otherwise you’re going to end up with mold there. Love your build so far… looks amazing! Big hugs! 😊

Oh and instead of that sheet on the platform put a piece of indoor/outdoor carpet and drill the holes sporadically, then put the mattress.☀️

Since you have to cut the mattress, take the piece you cut off and turn it into a bolster you can use behind your back when you're sitting up. Just have a cool pillowcase made for it!
Don't forget to get you some mesh screen for your back door so you can leave them open on a beautiful Starry Night

Yep, that's what happened before. Lars played in the box for days on end. Mateo ended up having to get Lars another box after using the first one to start a fire. LOL! Just too cute.

Mateo I saw this gorgeous white van and had beautiful flowers all over it in a beautiful swirling design and then I thought wow what a great paint job and then I got up real close to it and it was hundreds and hundreds of stickers designed so perfectly You could do stuff like that to your van home!!!
PS I don't and wouldn't eat octopus I feel sorry for them I like octopus they're smart and innocent animals

You should, if you still could, put some space between the back of your platform/bed and your back door. As I was watching another vanlifer and she said that she wished that her bed was not on the back door because trash and debris gets back there from outside even though she never opens /use the back door.🙏🏾❤️

Several vanlifers I watch have advised to have ventilation beneath foam mattresses because the body causes dampness which causes black mold. You should drill at least 2"inch holes scattered in your plywood.❤

I have a easy suggestion for your kitchen area, if you want to to dollar store and buy these small crates, and hook a lip onto the back of them to hook over the edge of that open area that you have for wires and such, you can put spices and small stuff in there

Happy Birthday to Lars and your Niece! If you have not cut that bed yet use an electric turkey knife! You'll be amazed how well they cut through foam, memory foams ect. And so quickly too! I am loving your van. The only thing I think I might of done differently is cut the bed in half down the middle and attached a piano hinge. So that when I wanted it to be a sofa I could fold the back up enough to turn it into sofa mode. And added some wood props to the back to be able to set it in different positions. For when I wanted to sit straight up or for when I wanted it to be slightly reclined. Either way though it's coming out so bad ass. You are becoming such a bad ass too!

Also there is a epoxy called Panelbond. It's made by 3M. It's used to glue body panels on in auto body shops. I use it often. When it sets up you can't remove it unless you heat it. You can glue metal to wood
