Seen these guys three times and they NEVER disappoint. Most underrated band of the last 20 years. They are still my go-to. I never get tired of their music.
I am in Sydney Australia watching this. Unfortunately BHTM are not well known here. People don't know what they are missing out on. I managed to buy the DVD of this concert. Every song from this concert has incredible sound. One of the best concerts I have ever seen.
just saw them here in Maryville last night for the first time, live. He rocked the place out! I said the exact same thing: he is HIGHLY UNDER RATED!!!!
One of the most underrated bands that got lost in the grunge, or post grunge, explosion. The Counting Crows and Big Head Todd are 2 very overlooked bands that era.
I discovered them via radio in Missouri back when “Sister Sweetly” came out. Their radio presence didn’t seem to last too long but I was always able to find their new releases! At any rate they seem to be able to make a living still and look like they enjoy it!
He'll come flying out of this town A resignation superman And today the bad guys win 'Cause he turned his cape in Now, he says And I'll turn my back on this world Yes, I'll turn my eyes from this world Oh well ... Yes, he's tired of fighting in this town All the suffering and vice He wants to fall in love Maybe settle in and live a life And I'll turn my back on this world Yes, I'll turn my eyes form this world Oh I want to believe in you now that I'm suffering Oh lord, I need to receive your hand in my heart And he keeps an eye upon this town The resignation superman He'll keep himself amused With the evening news Oh my ... And I'll turn my back on this world Yes, I'll turn my eyes from this world Now I broke my back on this world Now I'll wash my hands of this world Oh I want to believe in you now that I'm suffering Oh lord, I need to receive your hand in my heart
GREAT liveband. What a sound. Bass, deep and defined, the "workman-drummer", old hammond, and Todd with a dirty stratsound, singing the way only he does. Man, this is a band paying attention to.
I got see them in Albuquerque at Summerfest which was a free show. I never heard of them. They are an incredible band. In the crowd of people, I felt that I must have been the only one who didn't know the songs. I was standing in the middle of a chorus
If you don't like this song, you probably don't feel too much and don't have many books in your house. This is a world-class act with world-class craftsmanship. This is art!
Bought their music when they first hit. And they sound to me better than ever. How did they never live up to the "Monster(s)" in their name? The music culture is puzzling & depressing. At least we, their fans, get to enjoy.
You got no answer so I'll give one. This was now 14 years ago, and the song is older still, but still great. They made a choice long ago to move away from major labels. I respect that. No idea if it brought them more money, but it definitely brought less exposure, which may have happened anyway
Saw the in Lubbock, TX in like 95 or 96 in the old basketball arena maybe like 500 college kids seated 3-4K easy,, They were so awesome and played so hard and good. I was already a fan, but that just put it over the top. Glad they are still going
Big Head Todd and the Monsters are so underrated...awesome music, fantastic songwriting,...they deserve so much more attention than they get,I have yet to hear a BHT song I dont like, theyre all addictive
got tickets for tomorrow night, can't wait! been trying to catch them for twenty years, finally going to be in the right place right time!!!!! ....only wish Hazel Miller could be with them
This is serious shit. Great band. I heard a rumor that they'll be featured in a movie in the not too distant future. Todd Park Mohr, go dude! Freddie the Vet
never seen these guys (i still havent forgiven myself for passing on an invite to see them in san diego - too fucked up sick to get outta bed! sorry alma) but i will work diligently to see them. i remember hearing that incredible voice in '95, and i still cant shake it. awesome songs! awesome sound! in my top 5 bands.
Saw them in 93 or so at a HOARDE (sp) Festival in St Louis and I was one of about 30 people in the audience (they played at 1 on a Friday afternoon) Had no idea who they were but was completely impressed with them. Cant believe they havent made it bigger than they have

So jealous, I'd love the chance to see them just once - UK here ❤🇬🇧.....

One of the most underrated bands, songwriters and guitar players in the business!
SO TRUE!
just saw them here in Maryville last night for the first time, live. He rocked the place out! I said the exact same thing: he is HIGHLY UNDER RATED!!!!
You get it it, thank you😎
Insane crisp vocals, even better guitar. Legend
These guys leave it all on stage. This show must have been amazing to have attended.

How this band isn't getting mobbed by followers is puzzling. Then again, maybe I don't want everyone else to know the best kept secret in Colorado.
Good point.
ldolphin34 Ha! Vermont is onto you!

Their fan base may not be huge, but it is loyal and enthusiastic.

I think this is Big Head's best song
Why in God's name isn't this man, with that songwriting, guitar playing and singing, a major star??
he is
He is with those of us that know real music. Todd is the man.
Absolutely but I can guess and it ain’t good smh

With the evening news

Have to look long and hard to find someone who has as good a combination of vocals and guitar skills.

Ignore my previous statement, Bittersweet symphony is NOT by BHTatM
Great song, if you want to hear another great Superman song check out teen band Deceptively Innocent and their original song Superman's Lament.
