That branch looks like a place you'd regularly run into a burned out car or shopping trolley!

Fantastic video, very enjoyable to watch. Certainly an eye opener as far as traffic from Waterloo goes. The ride in a 66 must be a juddery, noisy affair, at least that's how it can mes across. Thanks again.

Thanks, nice to know you enjoyed the video. It can be pretty noisy in the cab, but it's a bit smoother out on the main line, away from the jointed track. The camera was also on a windscreen mount which hasn't helped :-)

sneakybagger1 Thanks for the reply. Planning a day trip up to Aberdeen in the next couple months; are the freight movements (Abdn-Waterloo-Abdn) a regular daily occurrence? Thanks and look forward to more videos in the future.

Urban Warrior We service Omya at Waterloo yard four days a week, turnover shunts only on Wednesday and Friday using the class 67 off the sleeper train. Empties in and loads out on Thursday (for Workington) and Saturday (for Irvine).

...May only be a short ride...but a rather interesting one...as the way in which ..he runs round at that small junction..where other tracks lead off..then travels quite a distance " Backwards & forwards " in order to change Tracks..to collect the waiting wagons..!!!.

steve wyman The branch is only 2 miles long, 10mph speed restriction throughout, so it's a 2 mile run up to Kittybrewster for the runround, then a 2 mile run down to the station. It's a little over a quarter mile, as the crow flies, from Waterloo yard where this trip originates, to the station, so It's long, slow way to go for a shortcut... :-)

At 10:04, right behind the fences, you can see two young men deciding the fate of a pile of Pokemon cards.
