  • It was listed as a tourist attraction in Vienna and the price was right, so I thought "why not!"
It's a bit of a climb with 343 winding steps each way.
Reviews are pretty much accurate when they say you can't go outside. I assumed there were 360 degree views, but you're limited to 4 small windows that have bars on them and may be locked shut.
Didn't look at the rest of the church / Domkirche St. Stephan. Not majorly into museums, old buildings etc. and everything seemed to be chargeable. €20+entry; another €7 for a garden; another €10 for another bit of the same building etc. Good enough looking at the buildings from outside.
Tickets in advance might be cheaper?
Bring cash as a lot of places said cash only for walk ups.
A lot of tourist areas around the city centre (last month, June 2024) had a lot of building work going on, so some bits were closed, scaffolding, diggers etc.
    Messy.
