4:36 - The 90mm has to be measured between the barrel adjuster (plastic part over the end of the cable housing) and the clamping bolt - NOT the blank end of the cable housing.
Nice that the anchor is removable from the old cable and attachable to the new one. I’m sure that makes a replacement cable a lot easier to find (even if the thickness is off by a bit). Sad to hear Sram is out of the internal geared hub business - I think they’re so ingenious. I guess that leaves Shimano, Sturmey-Archer and Rohloff.
SRAM S7 or P5 clickbox are all faulty design, too much plastic, not durable enough, easy to fall out. Shimano is better. I got one like this but it did not work any more and is very expensive to replace.
These videos are important. There is very little information about these hubs anywhere. Thanks Dan
Useful! Thx Dan

Thank you! My cable was 90mm as measured in the video and I was pretty confused.
I think the 90 mm is when the klick-shifter is in 4th gear ... as I remember it is in 1st but the ~111 mm in 1st gear apperently is as good

If you can find some of those other brands when available. I’m having a hard time finding Nexus 8 speed with roller brake.
Thanks for the video Dan.
Lovely explanation! 👌
Very nice video thanks for sharing

110 mm is okay?
