Chur bro from Australia..just doing my own Lando build atm inspired by your channel bro......love the content... trying to piece together the same parts you have they seem to work well.thanks heaps lovin'the Dicso1 🤙💯❤️🇦🇺
Ripper video mate! Slowly doing up my disco 2, deciding what locker to put in my front diff. Already have a ARB air locker in rear so might just duplicate that in the front! Should come across the ditch to Tasmania bro and I can show you some banging tracks here😀! Keep up the good work brutha!!
Hey mate, loved the video, have been watching all of your previous videos and love your content. Sucks about this years Waipara river run being cancelled.
Is there not a risk that the smaller volume of oil in the differential will result in overheating and possibly foaming of the oil. Interesting project.
There definitely is, I would never do it on a truck that is a daily or tow wagon… however for a play truck, the trade off may be worth it so I figured there’s one way to find out!
I know it's not a landy, but would really like to know a bit more about Matt's blue yota, is there a build thread anywhere? If not could you possibly tell me what spring and shock combo he's using, especially on the rear, cheers dude.
hey man where did you source your diff, axles ect. anywhere local youve gone through or is it all from the uk. been looking at the ashcroft atb diff centers for a while now and they look to be a good thing. keep up the good work these kind of videos are great. and the diff shaves are great. i achieved as much clearance on a zuk on 31s as a saf on 37s well worth it.
Good video hadn't considered shaving the diff but now I'm thinking. I have the xcess4x4 truss kit to go on the front axle having already done the rear. Are you running the raptor half shafts with the raptor cvs as am considering this option having seen how they have coped with you driving at full chat.
Cheers mate, the diff shave is a great mod but I forgot to mention in it that the video that it will affect the oiling of the diff. For what I do, it’s a risk I’m willing to take, however unless you need every little bit, I wouldn’t bother as I’m sure I have shortened the life of the bearings, especially the pinion bearing doing the mod. And it’ll be even worse for the diff when I do the rear! And yep, shafts and CVs are Raptor chromolys, they’ve impressed me with the abuse they’ve handled
@@Crawlerer79 Yes I was wondering if the diff would suffer with under oiling I'll leave the shaving until you have proved the concept in the real world scenario. I will be speaking to Raptor shortly.
I normally watch your videos as soon as you upload, but have had to wait for this one (life). It was worth the wait! Nice job.
Cheers man!
Hi never thought of doing a diff shave I might think about doing it on my spare diff. Good video.
So appreciate this channel for no nonsense Disco build content. Thanks again!
Cheers!
Great video, thanks Tim 🫶

Imported it all myself, from the UK. And cheers, it’s amazing how much you can gain ay!
Have you ever thought of putting unimog axles on lando?
Not really tbh, would not suit what I do with the truck
Hey Tim, awesome vid.
Are you going to sell your old axle housing or is it too far gone?
Yep it’ll be for sale soon, have a couple people lined up but if it falls through, you’ll see it on fb
