Would you mean that you disliked my comment and if I don’t agree I should watch movies instead of your video? Because i was being humorous about it. I’m not sure if I understood or miss understood

The little pliers are perfect inside computer chasis, and other tight quarters. I think of them as super tweezers, rather than a pliers. The Wenger slip head though is intriguing.
I did a test between Victorinox and Wenger scissors. Victorinox were better hands down.
I like this evogrip line, and have five. Three non-locking. Two wood scaled. But regular Victorinox line have somewhat better tools, as I see it.
The belly on the Wenger blade is nice, despite thinner steel.
Venguh in German. I listen to German knife videos.
Great little tool kit. A small Swiss Champ, but bigger than the MiniChamp Lite (my most used knife model).
That size lock blade ought to be legal. The Evogrips are such a great line. I've used the little saws quite a bit.
    Cheers!

The serrated scissors make for great cutters for braided fishing line. Braided fishing line is hard to cut with straight edges

That's fair, tho I won't know, I don't go fishing. Good to know its got a good use.

Found a great use for that weird spanner! When im making paracord lanyards i found it sometimes difficult to punch the fid through the side for joining the cords. I put the fid in my vise and use that spanner to help push the cord through! Nice.

I'd snatch this up too if I saw it for 20 quid lol. If it weren't for the blade lock, it would be a great EDC albeit a bit fat but as a bag EDC bike repair tool it would be very handy. I'm still thinking about purchasing it at the full price of £60 new, because if it were in my bag or a pouch I could probably class carrying it as a good reason, and anyway the chances of getting stopped and checked are extremely remote.

I agree, I'd love to EDC it, it's about the same size as a Victorinox handyman. You'll probably OK taking it cycling I'd like to think, I always take my leatherman Surge with the bit kit when I'm out cycling, used it plenty of times too.

Love it when you have to use a separate tool to open the tools on a SAK. Jokes aside good video, and one of the best all-round SAK's IMO

Good point. And great excuse for to EDC 2 SAK'S.
I think Victorinox makes a tool for opening SAK'S it is the watch opener tool.
I alway EDC 2 or more SAK'S, one huge & one giant, so I can always open SAK'S easy & have all to tools.

  • @thomaschainey533

Great video thanks. Love all the models of SAK'S and one is never enough.
Love this knife pared with any other SAK for holding one end of a screw or bolt while tightening the other end so it doesn't just keep spinning and never tighten up.
The wrench, plyers and Screwdrivers work great together with the 2nd SAK for that purpose.
Screwdriver cap lifter and philips lock with pressure. Serration are better grip. The self sharpening scissor work like how a wild boars tusks scrape together and sharpen. Like a file rubbing and sharpening every time used. Knife is like a double delux tinker SAK.
I edc 2 SAK'S or more and one SAK works great for opening the other. Wenger seem to be harder to open then Victorinox but with oil a the more used it gets better.
One SAK is good but 2 SAK'S are more fun and versatile.
I EDC the Swiss Champ XLT on my belt together with the EvoGrip s557 hanging into one pocket and a Alox 7 (Harvester) at bottom of my other pocket. Plus Midnite Mini Champ in my little watch pocket. I EDC almost every tool possible. & I the woods I add the RangerGrip 79 and Skipper SAK and or Boatsman SAK.

Great review, love that you had an actual Wenger for comparison and also a suitable Victorinox 👌
Definitely was a steal at that price!
Btw, you could buy a new toothpick for the price of the amount of bleach you used 😉

      Glad you liked it👍🏻
I doubt it, I think 2 leters is less than £1, and the thooth pick is something silly like £1.50

@@scotsman7626 different countries, different realities... But your probably closer to the truth even for me. The cheapest blech is 2,5 € /liter and a toothpick is 0.8€. So obviously it makes mid sense to bleach it, if you need the bleach for other things. Thanks again for the video!

Where in Edinburgh did you get it? I should have watched your video before I went there in July 2018! And I will tell you that I loved Edinburgh and the Highlands. Will come back for sure!

The Edinburgh Antiques and collectors fair, it's on 4 times a year at the Royal Highland centre in ingliston, Edinburgh.
I've only been that one time so I don't know what it's like the rest of the time, so I guess it's probably a hit or a miss what's been sold.

as much i agree with your "the least threatening knives" statement as shocked had been by the "wet themselves" reaction by vatican's security guards over my 91mm 3 layer sak.. mediocre brain capabilities to think it would be alright carrying a non locking wmd within 1000m of mighty benedikt xvi.. *frantic hand gesture
btw great review and i am sorry for my probably wrong usage of english grammar

Those go for like 50 pounds in GER without the black rubber inlay and 60 in the version that you have. Is it just me or are knives made on the continent quite expensive in the UK?
9:17 I have fixed that problem before. All you need is a pin punch and of course a replacement spring. Set the punch right at the loop of the spring, give it a tap with a mallet and it should fall right out. Now grab the new spring, put it in the right position, set the punch...you know the drill. Easy enough, right?

    • @scotsman7626
      @scotsman7626  4 года назад

Yeah It dose feel like knives in general are way more expensive over here, I think I has something to do with Britain's silly knife laws.

    • @scotsman7626
      @scotsman7626  4 года назад

      I'll keep that in mind but I'm hoping I won't need to replace a spring. That's 👍🏻
