I have been reading and researching, soon my investments will pay off. The videos with mono hulls put a twist on people saying multi hulls are the way to go. Not many sailers discuss lightning or emp preparation? You have a beautiful family and vessel I look forward to following you guys.
Welcome onboard our journey and congratulations with your investment strategy. We love our monohull and sometimes, really sometimes we look at a cat or trimaran when we are rolling behind anchor 😂. We had a lightning strike which killed almost all our electronics. If we think about it we already had a lot of adventures. Yes it’s quite a story 😂 I feel it’s part of my life, I always had an intense life and all the setbacks I faced were lessons and gifts for me to do what I am doing now. Otherwise I would be that single young guy sailing around with a lot of money. I had a plan in life but life has a plan with me too. 😍

Hi Luiz Philippe, that's correct we selected a big blue water vessel with center cockpit, I (Gerben) fell in love with the design, the spacious interior and especially the way of construction, the B57 is constructed in a traditional way with a very thick hull for example, instead of the modern production boats. At the moment we are installing our Lithium Batteries as a warehouse for our energy and we will install a solar system later in Italy, there is a big technology improvement coming this month so that's the reason we do it in a later stage.

The B57 deserves to be super famous, they called her pocket super yacht ;) She never got the credits she deserved. So.... Lilly will go back to the Netherlands so we can drive her towards you while you are taking care of the PS. Deal? The universe connected is for so many reasons already so this is just a logical next step.
Yes, we are supper happy with all the determination, effort and love we put in. We have to admit we really love doing it, we are on roll at the moment. Just recorded our first masterclass regarding how to survive and thrive a bankruptcy inside the PS with 40 knots of wind ;) So definitely not easy, but hey.... Much love from us dear friend!

Good question Pit, It is actually the main switch of the Defender. With out it there is no way she will start. We installed it last year to have a little bit more protection against theft. Defenders are quite popular in that area as well.

Cool story, feels like I am doing something simular, abeit on a lot smaller scale (moneywise, boatwise also, but closer :-)). You haven't explained, but how do you do the ownership? I assume BTW (VAT) should be paid before registering it in the kadaster, or are you planning to go the ICP route? Anyway, enjoy what you can, I will enjoy following you guys!
Ohh thanks! The VAT was already paid so no issues with that, and we do the ICP route for 3 years now. But now with the problems in Italy and Spain we are considering what other options we have. Kadaster isn't a real option as wel would have to sail back to the Netherlands right now. So we truly hope ICP will get things figured out soon.

Luckily the yacht I just bought is already registered @kadaster, unluckily, the cost of transferring a registration is considerable in relation to what I paid for the boat Anyway, the refit/update to your Beneteau looks marvellous! Hope the ICP situation will be resolved soon, so you can enjoy your journey without nuisances like that.

I have been reading and researching, soon my investments will pay off. The videos with mono hulls put a twist on people saying multi hulls are the way to go. Not many sailers discuss lightning or emp preparation? You have a beautiful family and vessel I look forward to following you guys.

We had a lightning strike which killed almost all our electronics. If we think about it we already had a lot of adventures. She really is a beauty and considered a pocket super yacht, although we wouldn't call ourselves super yacht owners :) An oh my, yesss these wild winter winds are insane. Especially today, we are even struggling with reception. But safe in the marina! Are you in Turkey aswel?

Yes it’s quite a story 😂 I feel it’s part of my life, I always had an intense life and all the setbacks I faced were lessons and gifts for me to do what I am doing now. Otherwise I would be that single young guy sailing around with a lot of money. I had a plan in life but life has a plan with me too. 😍

Hi Luiz Philippe, that's correct we selected a big blue water vessel with center cockpit, I (Gerben) fell in love with the design, the spacious interior and especially the way of construction, the B57 is constructed in a traditional way with a very thick hull for example, instead of the modern production boats. At the moment we are installing our Lithium Batteries as a warehouse for our energy and we will install a solar system later in Italy, there is a big technology improvement coming this month so that's the reason we do it in a later stage.

The B57 deserves to be super famous, they called her pocket super yacht ;) She never got the credits she deserved. So.... Lilly will go back to the Netherlands so we can drive her towards you while you are taking care of the PS. Deal? The universe connected is for so many reasons already so this is just a logical next step.
Yes, we are supper happy with all the determination, effort and love we put in. We have to admit we really love doing it, we are on roll at the moment. Just recorded our first masterclass regarding how to survive and thrive a bankruptcy inside the PS with 40 knots of wind ;) So definitely not easy, but hey.... Much love from us dear friend!

Good question Pit, It is actually the main switch of the Defender. With out it there is no way she will start. We installed it last year to have a little bit more protection against theft. Defenders are quite popular in that area as well.

Cool story, feels like I am doing something simular, abeit on a lot smaller scale (moneywise, boatwise also, but closer :-)). You haven't explained, but how do you do the ownership? I assume BTW (VAT) should be paid before registering it in the kadaster, or are you planning to go the ICP route? Anyway, enjoy what you can, I will enjoy following you guys!
Ohh thanks! The VAT was already paid so no issues with that, and we do the ICP route for 3 years now. But now with the problems in Italy and Spain we are considering what other options we have. Kadaster isn't a real option as wel would have to sail back to the Netherlands right now. So we truly hope ICP will get things figured out soon.

Luckily the yacht I just bought is already registered @kadaster, unluckily, the cost of transferring a registration is considerable in relation to what I paid for the boat Anyway, the refit/update to your Beneteau looks marvellous! Hope the ICP situation will be resolved soon, so you can enjoy your journey without nuisances like that.
