WHY I CHOOSE THE CARDS IN THE VIDEO:
I have done about 2 hours of research to find what card would fit the characters best in the video. Lots of though was put into who should have way card, and what it correlates. (@Deer_In_The_Spotlight gave me some extra Information also being provided here, big help to the final deduction!!) First Chuuya the ace of spades. The ace of spades has a connection to death and war. Chuuya mafia affiliation, charecter and ability correlate really well with them. Corruption also causes mass destruction.
Second Akutagawa with the king of hearts. The king of hearts it also known as “the suicide king”. Akutagawa is a very mentally ill charecter that relies on recognition and praise. He even said “I am not afraid of death. I am afraid of dazai-San not acknowledging me”. The king of hearts symbolizes power, ambition, success, and Victory.
Third atsushi as the joker. The joker is essentially the most valuable card in the deck(depending by which rules you play.). atsushi is the protagonist, and since the character is often cited as the one who will save the rest of them and described as the good guys secret trump card. The joker would be considered the trump card in the game.
Lastly Rimbaud as just diamonds. Diamonds symbolizes the growing stage in a persons life when they are working on a career. I decided to put him as diamonds, not only because his life was just focusing on helping Verlaine and him being a spy. But also because diamond also resembles representation of progress, commitment, ethics, and stability. Which if you read storm bringer you can see these are all the quality’s he has!!
