Jimi: mo money mo problems
That's what fat man Biggie said. That's his patter ya wanker.
Thing is, even when at the height of his career, Jimi didn’t have any money.
Jimi was one of the highest paid stars of the time, and he didn't see a dime of it. A lot of it got stolen by his manager Mike Jeffries, who squirreled it away in various offshore accounts. Check out Noel Redding's book "Inside the Experience", he talks a lot about it.
Lmfao. What a shit head you are
Mo money mo blues
In contrast to today's late night shows these older interviews are so much more tranquil. Today these shows are so high energy.

Imagine being in your twenties and already have a clear understanding of the world.
That’s who Jimi Hendrix was.

'They get fat and satisfied and they get lost and they forget about the actual talent that they have' Jimi was wise beyond his years and always so humble. That statement still stands pretty strong today. So many people let themselves go and lose themselves. Arrogance will do that. One of the many great things about Jimi Hendrix is that he seemed to have no idea how talented he actually was 🎸
Bill Graham let jh know about his talent in no unspecified terms at the bog shows.

This is actually one of the things that made Hendrix one of the greatest guitarists ever. The fact that he never stopped thriving for more, the fact that he always saw place for improvement. It saddens me to think what great music his death deprived us of, and the horizons it deprived him of.
Jimi Hendrix was WAY WAY ahead of his time as a TALENTED guitar player.....

Right again Captain Obvious. Quite astute

Jimi’s voice is so relaxing, Definitely my favorite musical artist of all time, he was so humble and so intelligent, If only I could’ve seen him live.
I did see him in Detroit in 69 when I was 13. When he played Foxy Lady he started with the feedback and then started laughing and had to restart the song :-) Peace
He genuinely seems like the kind of guy you can sit down with a have an interesting conversation.
Man I wish he lived a longer life. He missed out on so much great music and we missed out on what would’ve been great music from him.
I believe he was murdered after he got close to the Black Panthers. What are they so afraid of? Jimi was a good man.
Nobody wants to stay at the party too long. He wanted to be remembered for his prime youthful days, not some old hippie burnout.
We missed out, he didn't. When you think that a single star can last 10 trillion years, and the universe so many times more, whether we live 30 or 90 years is inconsequential and I personally believe dying is essentially eternal rest. We don't fear falling asleep, so we shouldn't fear it. But yes, people missed out because he could have been influential for another decade, maybe more. Then again Mozart didn't live that much longer, and he's still influential nearly 300 years after his birth so you never know. The only people I read about and really feel sorry about are the ones that had a lifetime struggle from birth to death due to terrible health, abuse and sometimes both. But when someone suddenly pops off? They don't suffer, its his family, friends, loved ones and maybe fans that do.

@@hsd287 Doesn't have to be. The way that those people were, were not a product of their time. Being wholesome, and just plain true to yourself and others, and such things as that, is no such thing as a product of it's time. I believe that anyone, anytime could be of such sensibilities. It just so happens, that there are not very many who are like that anymore. They may try to think, act, and talk like it, but it seems to be falling by the wayside with those many who are not exactly like that anymore. Not to say that they are wrong in being who they are, almost no one is. It's just that people are going with a different kind of flow these days. But I agree, I wish that some more folks would get back to that more relaxed way of being.

Jimi really was saying that dudes love music but often times don’t have inner oneness so when the money comes it fills the empty voids that the music didn’t fill and ultimately takes over a person. I think he would’ve gotten funkier as the 70s progressed. God only knows where he would’ve gone. It’s ok though cuz what he left was enough for his legacy to be secure.
Jimi Hendrix was an extremly sentisitive human being, and you can feel this in his music. In total contrast with the guitar heroes since early 80's who have a tendency to think that music is a competition, and play super fast and at the surface whereas Hendrix used to dig a lot his instrument when improvising.
