Hello J ! New subscriber here, 50 years old and using this type of training and mentality for the last 20 years more or less ... never regreted it, never back to the gym ... keep it simple, free of charge, always available even while traveling, take fresh air and just enjoy the ride 💥 ... streetworkout for ever 💪 Great channel ‼️ Cheers from 🇫🇮
Short, sharp and straight to the point. The realest on the tube no DOUBT. I’m same as you, callisthenics over weights every day for me. Keep inspiring fella. Love and blessings from the UK
Good video. I used to be all about the gym, and then about a year ago I bought some gymnastic rings for the backyard. Havent set foot in a gym for a long time now.
Big ups my guy! This is my minimum effective does training especially when shit gets hectic. Right that the weather is nice and I have to catch up on all the outdoor tasks on the property I can do these routines while landscaping and doing chores. Thanks for sharing! Excelsior bro!
looking forward to the programs. as of right now i dont think i could hit full body two consecutive days in a row let alone 5-7, so im really looking forward to the split routine that youre going to show us
I love pull ups. Its very rewarding seeing your progress on a pull up bar. I can crank out quite a few reps but if i go all the way down & try to rotate my shoulders, when i pull up, i can feel it totally engaging my lats, and less arms. But can only do half as many reps. But if i go for max reps , i use my arms a lot and they get a killer pump. I need to get a weighted vest
Hey J, I'm turning 43 this July. Been doing these calisthenics style workouts for almost 2 years now. Before that, yoga practice for 17 years, and prior to that 5 years of traditional gym workouts. I love the simplicity and effectiveness and I can't wait to make my own gym at our new house similar to yours.
Been going gym 4 years , last 3 days not touched any gym weights done pull-ups and dips and pushups everyday trying for high volume 300+ reps a day , hoping to keep my size and lean out / get stronger as can only do maybe 6/8 pull-ups in a row ( weigh 100kg exaxtly ) gonna stick to body weight only and not touch a weigh for a month and hopefully be more happy with the results 💪🏼
Also using a push up board for different variations / handles when doing 300+ reps a day switching handles a lot / doing wide grip pull-ups / hammer grip and chin-ups switching 💪🏼
That’s pretty similar to what I do. I in think doing that every other day would be enough, and do legs on the other days. But as long as your tendons can handle it, keep crushing it 🫡
@@jrich9674 yeah I’m trynna work my grip strength , posture etc as at gym I i did 90% machines so my stabilisers etc are pretty weak but no giving up even if it takes 3 hours to get it 👊🏻over time slowly get easier
But don't overdo it, man, you don't need to work 3 hours or do 300 reps everyday... use common sense... if you can do 6-8 pullups you are totally fine doing 20-30 in one session 2-3 times a week, sloooowly over time adding more reps, quality reps, slowly and controlled, and way later you can increase the intensity, with rings for example, which will be expecially beneficial for your stabilizers and deeper layers of muscle... hope you are doing well@@Tomflavell
My gym fit in my backpack .... I do the same. I do keep track but I want to make the trackers on my PC. How do you avoid overuse of the joints ? This channel is spot on ... straight to the point. clear !
great content! Could you create a guide in how to combine these exercises in a simple and effective muscle building routine with reps and perhaps progressions? would be really awesome, im into training the basics too, but creating a progression plan the next rep ranges and next exercise progressions have been difficult. Would really mean a lot, appreciate it! :)
Might be in minoriity, but I personally don't like programs, just like doing my own thing, sometimes those programs can feel like a chore, there days when I'm super energized workout like crazy and others when my body wants a not intense workout, just a smooth active one, but enjoying the channel, keep up the good work.
Just started to binge your videos you are awesome. I am considering switching from the gym to outdoor park workouts. I would love to workout 6 days a week and then run one a day week, but I was told I have to have a rest day, or I won't experience muscle growth. Since you mentioned you sometimes workout 7 days a week so true is the proceeding statement?
Appreciate it. I do workout everyday but never to failure so I don’t require much recovery because my body is trained and at maintenance level. I’ll share more about this soon . Thanks for the sub
What’s your height and weight ? How do you feel it’s changed over the years with this style of trianing ? Or compared to maybe weights in your personal experience ?
Love your channel, man. Looks like you do lots of supersets and use short rest breaks to save time. Do you ever do straight sets with long rest breaks? Do you find you’re able to build strength with he shorter rest breaks? It’s appealing to me because I’m usually strapped or time.
I bought everything from Home Depot. I’ll try to post the plans on my community tab. My post are 4X4x10 and 2-1/2 “ down with concrete. If I had to do it again I would get 12’ post and go down 3’ with concrete. It would be just a little more stable
If everyone would stop falling for the trap of needing $1,000s worth of gear and/or a gym membership (and ultimately giving up), and just focus on "mastering" the basics like you, Kboges and Iron Wolf preach, the country would be a lot happier.
Can anyone recommend a 4 day plan for this type of training At the moment I'm doing all of these exercises along with weight training but want to focus purely on bodyweight ( really enjoy pull ups and dips) just find it difficult to set a plan Thanks in advance
Your call. How far do you want to take it? (15, 5, 10) x 10, sqt, pl, ps, no rest, 2 or 3 x's per week w/ walking, running, rucking on inbetween days will keep anybody right.
The basics have always worked. The basics will always work.
Love this guy and iron wolf. Talking sense and logic and excellence in the basics
Johnny Grube too.
You, Iron Wolf and K boges are my saviors. I want to thank you.

Looking forward to these routines, thanks

For 20 years is impressive!!🔥🙏🏽
Happy birthday, man!
Appreciate it 🫡
Looking forward to seeing more.👍
Love this work ! No fluff
Awesome, I just subscribe. What would be a full body workout? Thank you
Hi there!
I would be interested more about daily structuring (sets and reps)
Can you tell me about it please?
Top class mentality 💪🏻 🔥

Same here. I don't know how to program my workouts

Appreciate it 🫡. Same here, I’ve always done my own thing as well. This would be for people who need it, less experienced and for accountability.

What’s the day to day routine? Love the idea and would implement but I don’t see an exact workout regimen.

5’ 10” 180lbs. I’ve been able to maintain just as much muscle with these workouts. I just feel this type of strength never leaves me
I challenge you to do The Murph brother cheers!
question it a circuit and if so, how many? or is it individual and can i do a finisher lets say spike push up?
Great content
Thanks for all your videos, very inspiring! Do you do any cardio at all?

Nice video. Do you sometimes do hspu or pike pushups ? Or are dips and push ups enough for your shoulders ? Thanks in advance for the answer 🙏
Do the work. Get the benefit.
I have a pull and dip bars set up similar my posts are 8x6 and 2 inches bars .Would like to send you a picture if you don´t mind.
I wanna make a pull up and dip bar like you have Any advice? And also could you make a video about it in the future

thanks for the pep talk. do you do any sandbag training or farmers carry exercises?
Grunt Style!👍
have you ever done a video on your diet?
Can anyone recommend a 4 day plan for this type of training

Do you do weighted Calesthenics?
You should collab with k boges!
How many sets are you typically doing per workout?
How to do Handstand push up?
You were in the army, marines, navy seal in the past?
What if I don't have dip bars
Have u ever went through a weightlifting training phase ?like used weights for awhile instead of Pushups pull ups n dips
I definitely have. It’s all very effective. It just depends on what you enjoy
Do you do cardio?
How many sets do you do per exercise?
This workout everyday?
Hey, did you build your physique from only doing calisthenics?
💪🏻💪🏻💪🏻💪🏻
Would I eventually have to add weights to these workouts to progress overload or can I still build a nice physique with just my body weight?

Increase reps, decrease size, slow your tempo
Hey man what do you do for your lower back?
Most of these exercises work the lower back and core stability. Planks , bridges etc
It's handled. Don't start over complicating stuff.
Whats your thoughts on protein intake?
1 gm/lb real food.
How do you get more pull ups in a set
Can you do routine for women that aren’t as strong? Just show like how to do the workouts but not as intense. 😊
Absolutely. 🫡
In prison that’s the only exercises people did. And they were jacked.
Do you Train this Routine everyday ?
I constantly mix and match my routines to keep em interesting, but yes pretty much
You mentioned you work out five to six times a week. So I’m assuming you think rest days are not that necessary.
Move everyday. Cycle intensity, and movement patterns. See above.
Just listen to your body, it will tell you when you need a rest day, if you feel good workout everyday
your 43 damn i thought you was damn near 34
