I just bought a PM500 today and it's a week out from arriving. I like the darker sound as sibilance is a problem for me. For the price it's pretty impressive in my book. Great review by the way. It made me that much more comfortable that I made the right decision in buying one. My Audio-Technica 2035 is a sibilance monster so this mic is an ear saver.
Awesome! It’s a great sounding mic. I would say it’s a good podcasting mic. Doesn’t emphasize the highs as much. Let me know what you think after you try it out 👍🏾
Amazing build quality and it’s like you said, it’s more warm compared to the pm422. Cant’t go wrong with it, but the brighter sounding PM422 sounds a little more polished out the box. You can easily do tweaking to both to get similar results. If Money is a factor, you also can’t go wrong with the PM422 from a quality and convenience point of view.
i am going to watch your " Voicemeter " video to improve the quality of audio recordings. Is there anything else we can do to make audio recordings better, like noise gate filters in OBS or RTX voice or ASUS ai noise removal application (post production). i haven't tried them all but i will try them, do you have tutorial video on them? Which one is good - OBS vs RTX voice vs ASUS AI noise removal?
Hey! So my regular routine in editing my audio is either through audacity or premiere pro (most of my content is for RUclips). A lot of software have very similar tools for adjusting the audio as needed. Like you mentioned, the noise reduction feature or noise Gate, a little EQ modification. With these 3 features alone I am usually able to get some decent sound for my content. Here is a very quick video on my regular process: ruclips.net/video/fcRIsiYnesA/видео.html Thanks for watching and supporting the channel 👍🏾

can you try the PM422 with a phantom power?
It’s a usb connection, so there is no external phantom power needed

I like the MP-422 better
whats better 461 or 422 from maono
I would personally go for the pm422 if you have the budget. It’s a more feature rich microphone.
Thanks for watching !
