Bayern Man city Liverpool Ajax All played amazing football that year. Its fine if any one of them wins because they all played really well. But Ajax was just so surprising, and the football they played were so attractive to audiences. I wouldn't say it was tactically the best, but it was definitely the most attractive in years. In addition, they could be considered underdogs, and I think this combination is what led the world to love this Ajax team so much.

I've seen all Ajax' european matches.And although they didn't make the final this season was the best squad Ajax ever had. As good as the Golden team of 70 to 73 and of 95 , but the opponents in this season were so much stronger than back then. And every position in the team was filled by a genius football player. And the coach had created an atmosphere of friendship in the team like never before. And guys like Tadic, Zyech,Schone, Tagliafico,Mazraoui,vdBeek,DeJong,Onana and Neres were among the very best players of all time. Players like Blind and Tadić, despite retaining their brilliance, are in their thirties and not as potent as they were in 18/19. The absence of Neres must be noted too. He was far from his 18/19 form but was an important player even off the bench. An uninspired Antony in both legs of this year’s RO16 proved fatal for the Dutch side (against a Benfica theoretically weaker than the 2018 version they overcame). Ten Hag will leave, but Ajax are a great club and I hope that they can indeed replicate this one day. Watching them play back then, especially that banger against Real, was simply astonishing

Then Showed Man City their place in semi finals by winning at aggregate 4-4. Then Lucas Mours magic happened. Ziyech and De Jong were key to this team. Ajax have continued to play some nice stuff since they left but no longer have that elite cutting edge that they provided.
