At the last clip I will provide a swatch of a 3 stitch cable cross over.

I made one for my 33 year old daughter for Christmas last year using the color, sage. It turned out gorgeous!❤
I wish I could give you a thousand likes. This was VERY VERY useful. Thank you so much.
Aww thank you so much!!! You can share if you like. ❤️
I used this pattern to make a toddler blanket - love how it turned out!
Awesome!!
Loved this and you broke down the stitches very nicely! It wasn't as difficult as I thought. :)
Thank you! :)
This pattern is so BEAUTIFUL!!! Can't wait to try 🥳🥰
Beautiful easy to follow.
Thank you! So glad you enjoyed it. 🧶
The is a beautiful blanket, will definitely try to make one! Thanks for sharing your pattern with us,,,,
Glad you enjoyed it. Thanks for the kind words.
I will be a beginner, but I love how you show the different styles. Thanks and wish me luck LOL
I finished the queen blanket. Thanks so much for your wonderful videos!
Yay! Congratulations 🎉
The blanket is super heavy. Is it because I used the bernat blanket extra thick yarn? Is this how yours feel or do use a different kind of yarn? TIA ❤
It’s the same yarns I use. I’d say it’s the size. My baby blanket is not that heavy.
Duh I watched the video again and I think I got it!
Great!! Good job
These would make beautiful Christmas gifts! Excited to try. 🥰🥰
Yes! Glad you enjoyed it!🥰
I wanna make a huge one for my kind size bed!
Thank you Brenda I will certainly trying this new pattern
Thank you so much - I love this blanket. Greetings to you from Perth Western Australia ❤️
I love this blanket. How many skeins should I use for 40x60 using Bernat Extra Thick? Thank you for sharing your patterns and talent.
From Joann?
I suggest 3
I never liked this thick stuff but now im intrigued. 👀
It’s a thinner cable. I love it!!!
This is gorgeous!
Thank you!
Oh my Gosh yes now i understand what you meant about 2 not 4.
Awesome ❤️
Great! Is easy peasy!!
Going to try this next lap blanket 🤎🤎
Awesome!!
Good morning, you have the best methods of all the videos I've watched! Im wanting to make this pattern as a gift for my daughter. 40×60 and my skeins are only 28 yards, how many skeins should Iplan to use do you think? I bout a total of 12 to be safe. ❤ Thanks for all your help!
I use 8. Be sure you check dye lot numbers when using any dark colors. Thank you for your kind words!
Oh yes this is so pretty I bout ten skeins but I have navy, white, and bought two soft grey skiens due to those being my daughter's colors and I planned on only doin one row of grey in between but with this pattern I probably won't use the grey I was curious does this pattern cause you to use more yarn? I'm worried it will and I won't have enuff skeins lol I don't want to get into it and realize I'm gonna run out I don't know the length of the blankets I've made I just know my last two blankets I've made I used ten skiens which are 28yrds per skein and tht width and length has been absolutely perfect at least thts what everyone has been telling me I believe they've been coming out little over 5 & a half ft long which they all say they want their blankets longer lol my skeins are 28yards
Curious how this will turn out and look using two different colors. I don't think I'll do this pattern because I don't think I will like it using two different colors 😢 but I want to try this pattern so badly lol so I guess I'll do this one next using all one color thank you for sharing and being awesome in your tutorial very well done thank you
Sorry for the dumb question but do you have the pattern by rows I’m not a classic knitter so I don’t know what 6 cables 2 stitches and crossover mean
No problem if you watch the tutorial I explain it. :)
Do you pull the working thread from the center of the interior of the ball of yarn or start by using the exterior thread?
Yes, usually if I find it I pull from the center.
Brenda, love watching and learning from you on RUclips. But I have been experiencing issues seeing your handy work because it’s at the very bottom of the tv screen. Would it be possible to move ve your stitching higher up on the screen please? I use close caption which displays exactly on top of your hand stitching. Just a suggestion for use deaf people watching using caption
Thank you so much for the kind consideration
Absolutely! Thank you for the input!
How do you determine how many to cast on for a 40x60 blanket?
I cast on 29 for approximately 40 width.
How many yarn skeins did this blanket take? I love this idea and I’m in the process of making a baby blanket but know I want to start over and do this pattern!
Baby blanket I suggest 4
What was the finished dimension of this baby blanket? Thank you!
@@cherylbarringer6386 my baby blankets are approximately 30 inches wide to desired length. But it really depends on your tension as well.
@@PassionKnitCozy thanks so much for your quick response. This will be my first blanket.
Where did you buy that HUGE skein of jumbo chenille yarn? I'm having a hard time finding it!
I pre connected this one. You can find large skeins at Joann - Bernat Extra Thick.
In order to make this wider, to add another row of 'cable', would I increase by 4 stitches?
Increase by 3.
Thanks for responding but I guess I should have asked us what are the multiples so the blanket is even ..eg 3+2
Yes, mine is a pattern of 3 plus 2 knit edges.
Do you have to have an uneven number for the chain
I do, yes.
Question ….. I’ve watched the video a few times ….. do you do 6 rows then the crossover and another 6 rows then the crossover ? Or is it 5 rows and the 6th row is the crossover ?
Either is fine. I generally do 5, 6th row cross over.
Thank you so much ! ❤
How many cast on chains would u recommend for a full or throw
I recommend 33 for a 40 inch wide throw. It does vary due to stitch tension.
Good job 👏🏼 May I know the name of this yarn
Thanks! It’s Yarn Bee eternal bliss sage. Chunky Chenille yarn is what I always use for finger knitting.
I don't know what I'm doing wrong, if I flip my cast off there isn't any bump in the middle😢
Are you doing the cast on chain, then flipping it to the back side? Look on my beginner chunky blanket.
@@PassionKnitCozy Yes, I think I'm twisting the loop, redo
How many Caston did you use for a queen size blanket?
I have not done a queen bed size. It would depend on the width you want and whether it’s 2 or 3 stitch cables.
Can I use smaller yarn for this?
I never have. This is for finger knitting. But if you use needles maybe.
What kind of yarn did you use for this blanket
Eternal bliss
@@PassionKnitCozy thank you
How do I make a larger blanket?
I would widen the pattern with more cast on chains to make it bigger.
❤How many I wll need for a bigger blanket
There are many sizes of skeins. How many yards is the kind you are buying?
I would like to know the same mine is 31.7 yards
I would say 8-9 depending on how big you want it and yardage of skeins.
Boy, this is a lot quicker than crocheting, that's for sure!!!
My daughter will be a beginner and is going to start doing hand knitting ...what would be the best pattern to start with?
Is this yarn similar to Bernat blanket extra thick yarn?
Yes
New question. I'm knitting a queen-size blanket (If I make any other projects for other people without making something for home, my husband will have a fit!😂)
How many stitches would I cast on. I'm thinking that the blanket should be 90" x 100".
Multiples of 3 + 2 edge stitches
So I'm making a queen-size blanket. 60" wide. My swatch was 8" wide, I casted on 6 stitches. (K edge, p1, k2, p1, k edge) I'm calculating a 45 stitch cast on. Does that sound right? Progress not perfection. But asking questions, winter hurt. Lol
I would triple the cast on in the video. But that said everyone has different stitch tension, I’m a tight knitter.
I like your blanket but it was hard to follow because you did a couple of rows with precise instructions but then you got really quiet it was hard to follow where I was on the blanket😢
@@deionrichards2038 thanks for the feedback. You’ll get it. Hang in there.
