@skylord081 the solos on blooddrunk may have been less intricate but I actually liked the style of them so even that album had something GOING for it as well.
Being 47 having heard Par Benatar for years, I still prefer her hers best. What I like about this though is the dark sound of the vocals and instruments, Benatar was a classically trained vocalist with a more pure voice, the darkness works here
@mammuttisusi No? Read the lyrics.... It isn't hard to figure out. She's talking about how children sometimes have to suffer and go through hell when they shouldn't.
@acaserogue01 thats your perception....even i didnt use to like it...but listen to it and what it is.. and along with the instruments that accompany it, its clean that sounds like shit...if you try without bias sure you'll dig it in no time :)
Philipp Meyer mate the amount of times I have played this on public transport from my seinheissers... love the looks I get from people and then that makes the song even more fitting \m/
@acaserogue01 try growling bro before you say that....and after you are able to try sustaining it....and after that try taking the same notes as ""clean"" singers do only on the heavier scale....and you'll know it takes a hell lot more skill to growl properly than sing ""clean"" ......properly i say...not just guttural sound...proper growling
I really liked the guitar, but I prefer the original much more. Pat Bentar's voice is truly amazing (4 octive range. That is a HUGE range). So I think the vocals are much better on the original song. Plus the 80's are the 80's, thats like the best decade for music. (This coming from a teenager) AND BEFORE YOU START TROLLING ME FOR "HATING", I'm not hating on this cover of the song. I just prefer the original. ~Sharpie
So you are a teenager right now? That's awesome that you like classic rock! Love to hear that from teens. I was 13 when the original came out by Pat Benetar, but I also like newer bands and A TON of heavy metal, having gone through my teen years in the early to mid 80's. I'm not much into the growly vocals, but really like some of the music in their covers! Rock On!
Best Cover of this song period
James O'Callaghan Marilyn Manson ' Sweet dreams are made of these '
I like this erie tone to this song, I also like the sad original version as well....
Outstanding cover, the first time I heard the song was through cob! I actually dig the original too thanks to cob......

gd Alexi's solo !
initially have steve vai's influence, then the Alexi's Style.
Pretty gd solo !
yes true, but you have to respect the original because of its time and passion put into the song.
Great cover, fucking awesome!
after being in state custody this cover makes more sense than the original
Fucking amazing! I always thought shit song was baddass and needs to be made heavier. They did an awesome job with it.
COB beats the s..t out of the original song..again... :)
Fucking great
Hail cob!

nothing like original
the viking version is way better
@melodea7h There's really not much to say. In no sense of the word is Alexi Laiho a better vocalist than Pat Benatar
Obviously better guitar work, drastically inferior vocals however.
@skylord081 Sure, and it's all for nothing because it sounds like shit.
