My student home that is like 10 square meters which is like his kitchen/entrance area is only 100 less than this, i feel so scammed I don't even have a kitchen or bathroom. My sink and my ricecooker are all I have xD
this is honestly so refreshing to watch. i also came from another country and move to germany, living in my own apartment, 20 mins to frankfurt by train. im here for 5 years now and if i will think about 5 years ago, being here, living on my own, even having my own apartment is just crazy and is like almost impossible to happen. we should be thankful, we have this exciting life ahead of us :)
omgggg germany!!! i was born there in Idar-Oberstein and came to america, but i wanna move to Japan or The Netherlands soon i’m still deciding on where. i’m glad you’re loving it there!! :D
I’ve always wanted to move to Japan but I’m so anxious to start the process. I just wanted to know how you were able to do this and what your circumstances were for moving to Japan. If you could maybe make a video going into how you ended up there that would be awesome!!
@@ethiojungkook8779 on a student visa you can only work part time in Japan. If you wanted a work visa instead of the student visa than you need a bachelor degree 😢
@Bigheartoneggshells Honestly I already know all of that about Japan and still want to move there. Mainly because I’m insanely introverted and Japan has a lot more to offer someone like me than the US where everyone expects you to be positive and outgoing. No hugging in Japan. Cool. I don’t even want to be touched. I heard about restaurants in Japan where there’s minimal human interaction. You sit at a private booth, make your order, and the food comes out through a little door. Sounds like heaven to me. I might stick out for the color of my skin but as long as I don’t get assaulted for it or harassed like in the US then I don’t mind dealing with dirty looks. The only reason I don’t go other than not having money is because I don’t speak the language at all and I feel like it would be disrespectful to move to another country and not know the language at least. I do respect their culture however and if I learn more Japanese I would consider moving there.
The desk area is probably my favorite thing you did with the space. I do everything at my computer anyways and a lot of the "small tokyo apartment" tours I see on youtube, nobody really has a proper desk for multiple monitors or a tower, which is something I wouldn't be able to sacrifice. I'm planning to move to Japan for a year after I finish my degree (Summer 2024) so I've been watching a lot of these small affordable apartment tours :D You did A LOT with the space and I'm honestly pretty impressed. I have a lot less clothes so I probably wouldn't need the second hanging area. The bathroom wallpaper is pretty cringe, also I'd be a bit sad not to have a bidet toilet like most of the newer places. One thing I'd personally change in your setup, is find another place for the trashcans. I'd feel so closterphobic coming in with them in the genkan behind the door. But that's just me. The space seems to really work for you :)
Imma gonna move to Japan later this summer, I cannot deal with a 2,500💀dollars a month in Colorado. I don't care if its smaller or anything, it's still ALOT better than being homeless again😞💔 🏚Just the number one thing is to be incredibly respectful to your neighbors and have respect for the culture🎍🎑🎐Coexist in harmony and be mindful for the people and places that surrounds you💝
Your apartment is really cool! Please don’t stand at the edge of your loft again!! I love it!!! Great job with your use of space! Love your cat! Yes great deal!!!!You’re Amazing !!!!
I like the setup👍😁 you have that nook under the computer area where your suitcase is-what if u put the litter box down there to keep it out of the way and u could get rid of that cabinet to add more room? Idk if u tried that already but everyone’s minds are different so I thought I’d throw my random bit out there in case it helps😁
Japan is expensive when it comes to food and groceries but housing is so affordable which is the biggest expenses for everyone, this is one of the reasons why Japan is such a perfect country
U can’t even rent a ROOM with no private bathroom for TRIPLE THE PRICE in Los Angeles or New York places that’s WAY BIGGER. It’s crazy how rent and housing became a joke it cost more than most people monthly salary to rent a small apartment in other countries
That bed near the ceiling wouldn't work for me. I don't like heights in general but while tired I'd trip off the ladder or roll in bed and fall off flying. I'd store junk up there and sleep on the floor.
I love your apartment soooo much, you are a very lucky young man! But I wouldn't like to live there, because I am 66 years old and I already feel unsave on even just on stairs, thus a ladder within my apartment is a no go for me. But if still was your age, I'd love to live there!
💚 thanks for sharing your home also just a little anxiety, please do not try around with cooling liquid i think it can be some bad stuff, like gloves and ventilation or something, no idea.
hey! I’m also an American moving to Japan later this year, around September. Im looking for a place to rent out for two years. how did you find this place and how did they allow you to rent it out? do you speak Japanese? I’ve been taking Japanese for almost a year, so I’m no where near fluent lol.
great video, I will be moving to Japan next year and look forward to moving into an apartment 😅, your apartment looks awesome 😊, how did you get your apartment, was it though leopalace21, and what state in the u.s did you come from, am from the frozen tundra Green Bay, Wisconsin, go pack go...
It won't be a brand new fridge! Japanese people often keep the plastic on to keep the equipment as clean and new as possible, because often, they do donate their goods or sell them sometimes. Giving someone a janky fridge would be embarrassing, and also its a sign of respect to keep the goods practically new for the next person to use.
Congrats on starting your new life in Japan! I remember having the same feeling when I first moved here and it’s a wonderful feeling. I’ve been here for awhile and that feeling has died down a bit, but I shouldn’t take living here for granted and still feel thankful/excited to be here. Your apartment looks great, my rent is around the same price but might be a little smaller. I kind of wish I went with a loft apartment because the high ceiling makes the space feel bigger 🤔 Have a great 2023! 🎉
@@ApeArson259 I would definitely look into the actual requirements for getting a work visa to live there. Also look into the other visas you can possibly get to live there atleast for a little while

If Tokyo can manage to provide decent apartments for less than $500 there's no excuse for other countries. Do better America.
No shade that’s true !!
Well, if you want to live in a 300 square foot apartment. They work for some people, but not most people.

how did you find this apartment? what website did you search on?
Given we have an obesity epidemic in America, that ladder will break under the typical american land whale.
