Jon Evans on bass and Matt Chamberlin on drums deliver plain pro clinics on their instruments respectively. Outmost amazing musicians... Tori, she's beyond commenting...
tori has a bit of wolf and a bit of owl in her eyes....i guess thats why her music is so good, wise woman with strength and a bit of wildness about her
Did it really take your breath though? I mean like a big breath in? And not being able to breathe out? And did it leave you in a state of disbelief..i mean like mesmorised like you saw the ghost of Elvis in your living room? No? Well,do us a favour and stop writing 'Breathtaking' all over the Web.Fuckin Drama queen.
@@Tuie1956 ,No,I really like the comments to be fair. It's just when people use words like 'Breathtaking' and 'Mesmerizing'. Are you really sitting there struggling for breath, transfixed to your monitor? Everything has to be over hyped in this day and age. And it just pisses me right off.
Oh I agree, I have been a fan for a long time. My daughter used to listen to her when she was younger and turned me on to her. I do appreciate her talent.
Agreed. I've been listening to her music for over 15 years and I still love the subtle complexity of the piano work, boldness of lyrics, and how experimental her music is. I still remember the first time I heard Cornflake Girl. Tori Amos is a real rarity in today's music, a true artist and musician who flawlessly paints her emotion in song in a way that's transcendant. I think she's beautiful too but it's her soul, her demeanor, and her raw talent that move me most.
I don't agree - Jon Evans does a beautiful job on this, fitting in with the 16th note timing, and complimenting Matt's drumming and Tori's piano fantastically. They performed the song during an encore of a 2007 concert in Brisbane I attended - it was a totally uplifting experience to hear how tight yet flowing the concert was, a testament to the excellent musicianship of all of them.
Idealisation of people isn't healthy, but... with someone so arresting, so brimming over in talent and incredible transfixing beauty both inside and out... it's hard not to idealise :)
Amen! She put it all together for Scarlet's Walk. It takes me a while to catch up with her and I still have problems with Hunter, too. But she is constantly changing and I so respect that.
you are in for a treat.. I think I've seen her about 12 times live, even flew to florida for a weekend to see 2shows down there.. (right after 9/11...) she's absolutey amazing..

I think the 90's was the height of creativity in this country.
I agree with you, but "Scarlet's Walk" was released in 2002.
Definitely
@@lucasotesbelguehenes7167 True. But still an extremely larte 90’s sound.
For the 90's to be the height, what came after had to be a steady decline in quality.
The 90's was the tail end of creativity in this country. IMHO.
She could have started to write it in the 90’s just because it was released in 2002
Just love this song, even though it makes me cry
why isn't this woman world renowned?
she is
Very underrated indeed
I am soo glad to be alive at this time, it's almost like being alive during Beethoven & Bach.. such great great artists in our time..
She looks like a queen of fairies here! gorgeous :)
The song means so much to me..
She looks particularly enchanting in this video. What a complex, wonderful creature she is.
What a lucky little audience. All with great seats.
every time she performs a song it is a unique masterpiece. No two sounds are the same= genius. Love you, Tori~
The accent is one of sexiness and talent
tori has a bit of wolf and a bit of owl in her eyes....i guess thats why her music is so good, wise woman with strength and a bit of wildness about her
Every time she skirts off the original melody, she sounds... even more amazing!...
Breathtaking. Listening to her voice is mesmerizing.

Tori is just the best - that's all. She smashes all those plastic, uninspired 'artists' of today into pieces.
I would like to see Tori's concert under the sun and on the big stage, I would be happy, all the concerts in dark colors
First time I have seen this performance -it sounds like she hits C0 - the extraordinary extra keys on the Bösendorfer Imperial.
What a rhythm section ! ! ! ! ! ! ! !
You damn right about that. Peerless.
she`s pretty. and i like color of her hair. song is amazing and beautiful, live too.
I want this Tori back. :( The new one's music is still great, but she's so shiny and plastic anymore. This was the beautiful poet I remember and love!
uuuuufff...this song hits me RIGHT. IN. THA. FEELZ.
I'm so sad, yes, indeed.

on my way up north
up on the ventura
i pulled back the hood
and i was talking to you
and i knew then it would be
a life long thing
but i didn't know that we
we could break a silver lining
and i'm so sad
like a good book
i can't put this day back
a sorta fairytale
with you
a sorta fairytale
with you
things you said that day
up on the 101
the girl had come undone
i tried to downplay it
with a bet about us
you said that-
you'd take it
as long as i could
i could not erase it
and i'm so sad
like a good book
i can't put this day back
a sorta fairytale
with you
a sorta fairytale
with you
and i ride along side
and i rode along side
you then
and i rode along side
till you lost me there
in the open road
and i rode along side
till the honey spread
itself so thin
for me to break your bread
for me to take your word
i had to steal it
and i'm so sad
like a good book
i can't put this day back
a sorta fairytale
with you
a sorta fairytale
with you
i could pick back up
whenever i feel
down new mexico way
something about
the open road
i knew that he was
looking for some indian blood and
find a little in you find a little
in me we may be
on this road but
we're just
impostors
in this country you know
so we go along and we said
we'd fake it
feel better with
oliver stone
till i
almost smacked him -
seemed right that night and
i don't know what
takes hold
out there in the
desert cold
these guys think they must
try and just get over on us
and i'm so sad
like a good book
i can't put this
day back
a sorta fairytale
with you
a sorta fairytale
with you
and i was ridin' by
ridin' along side
for a while till you lost me
and i was ridin' by
ridin' along till you lost me
till you lost
me in
the rear
view
you lost me
i said
way up north i took my day
all in all was a pretty nice
day and i put the hood
right back where
you could taste heaven
perfectly
feel out the summer breeze
didn't know when we'd be back
and i, i don't
didn't think
we'd end up like
like this
welcome to Tori's Fairytail!
i JUST thought that!
Tori you are a goddess.....no I mean it!!!!
In the next life, I want to come back as her.
