Yea, when a criminal takes something to court and they lose. Their response should be more along the lines of, "we lost because of X law, we need to convince some city council people to change that law or we need to change how we operate to work around that law" and not that they lost because the judge always sides with the PD. Its honestly, astounding that the server has put itself into such a place because the Judges have an insane level of power, you would expect that they are basically the admins of the server that are there as sort of a neutral party. The fact that they are biased is insane considering that the judges are such a small number of people that have not been voted into their positions, but were given their positions by the state or someone appointed by the state. Also, the fact that the lawyers are also selected by a representative of the state is just as crazy. I don't understand why it matters who has a BAR license, like you literally just need another lawyer to be able to sanity check the applicant and make sure they have enough knowledge of the law to not waste people's time.
This was really well put and exactly how I as a viewer felt. It felt like Criminals or whomever has to go thru the process if a judge felt a certain way about the individual being punished in character or maybe other reasons like enjoying the cops it feels absolutely impossible. That impossible feeling is felt by so many of the criminals in the server and that’s how you end up with people not even wanting to go thru the processes (which honestly sucks for both the people who want to do court/legal RP and for the individuals who kinda feel forced into it. ) And the answer from people who supported the current system of “file a complaint” or “file an appeal” only to go thru that whole process again for the exact same results is just wild. Some real world stuff just absolutely doesn’t work in this surreal world so it being so heavily based on that was a mistake. It’s like when Crime payed far far less than civilian jobs or high quality roleplay jobs like Lawyer got paid less than Senior Buns. And the thing is the Judges have been this way for years and years and years. It would be hard for me to continue giving the benefit of the doubt that those people punishing me actually 1 get it and content creation, or two don’t have ill intentions ‘for me’ OOC. It would be impossible. Ya’ll way more patient than me that’s for sure. I love these changes hope they work out well and your comments are met with an open and creative mind.

This is like the first video I've seen where i can confidently say he put more then 30 seconds of thought into what he talking about. There maybe hope yet.
This was his goal from the start, he wanted them to make the law more clear and follow the lore that was pushed by launch. You think the guy is dumb, but he is the owner of the biggest RP community out there. He knows what he is doing. The fact he has to take over again from Buddaah, says enough.
It makes sense that if you want to send some one to jail for seven days and give them a $500,000 fine then you should have to prove with out a doubt that they did what you are saying they did. But at the moment criminals are guilty, and they have to prove themselves innocent. I do like that if a judge breaks the law during that court case they will be punished. That way they will hopefully take It seriously.
I actually think that debtor's prison is a great mechanic, but only if they make the prison more interactive and fun first. The first major issue is that the prison is too damn big, there is no reason to have people running across a desert and not talking to eachother. They need to confine prisoners to a max security wing of the prison. They could just put a fence up that allows prisoners only to go from the cells to the cafeteria. This allows best of both worlds where people could still have wars and shootouts using the entire prison, without ruining the RP for people serving their time in jail. If the prisoners are forced into a smaller area then there is more possibility for RP to happen, and have interactions with DOC or lifers. The second major issue is the fact that the minigames are absolutely trash, running between areas clicking a button and waiting for a loading bar to complete is not good enough. Instead they need to treat it like a place for criminals to practice their skills and get better at the hacks already in the game. So put every heist hack, roof running, chopping, and lock picking into the prison attached to something like a piece of gym equipment. This should be super easy for devs to add into the game since the mechanics already exist, and to make it fun they could start the hacks off slower than they are in the city, and then allow them to get fast with successful attempts until it is going faster than the hacks in the city. Maybe they could even add a leaderboard. The third and final issue is the lack of interaction with the outside. They should be allowed to communicate with people on the outside (texting people using the prison tablet would be good enough, and they can let DOC monitor those communications, just so its easier to organize meetings with friends at visitation). Make it so there is a hidden radio room or something that prisoners can get to by crawling through a vent that DOC isn't able to crawl through. In this room they can access a radio tower with unlimited range, as well as getting access to a map where their ping shows up on the map every time they talk. Combined with the ability to connect their jail tablet to the radio tower and through their tablet they would be able to remote access any drone, or hack (using a special scanner that allows people in prison to remote into the hack). This would give people in prison the ability to still perform a role as the 6th man from the inside of the prison, and coordinating radio comms as well as being like a criminal version of Air1 using the drones like they are a UAV. I also think adding a real TV in the prison (probably just watched on the prison tablet) where videos from the weasel news job get sent would be a really cool way to keep criminals connected to what is happening on the outside, and they could add an upvote and downvote button to it that gives reporters bonus money to encourage them to actually put effort into finding real stories. With these 3 changes to prison, it wouldn't be a big deal when prisoners have to work off their debts for multiple days.

Funny how it went so that cops gives everything immidiatelly, then largely for Ramee arguing in cells they made it so they don't Have To give them in 5 days. Ramee got caught so the giving the documents shouldn't even really be a problem, but it became a stable of always after 5 days. Then arbituary it just became sometimes not giving them at all.. Actually most times.
@@Ztaal3 for K it was completely unfair. For Ramee eeh he did get caught in fair enough manner, dude was out there getting away with it quite sometime and the situation he did get caught they should've just dipped for there not being anything to do really 😅 Stilll.. when he was a lawyer it was constant new Ramee "not Ramee" rules like no phones in cells and no one cares suddenly now or then with other lawyers. The 5 day rule came 100% just so Ramee cannot argue them in the cells because even if he was sometimes a bit rude, they were like passive agro towards him all the time and frustrated that he was right most of the time 😅 They took his way of arguing way too much into the heart and the 5 day rule completely cuts off lawyer rp because half of the point of it is to come and argue the charges down in cells..
Yea its really dumb from a storyline perspective because no one remembers what happened over a week ago. It feels so disjointed to randomly have people fighting charges that they've already served all of the time in prison for. They really need to make the foia turn around time like 2 hours to force cops to actually write their reports or work with the lawyers at cell reps to get a guilty plead and skip writing a report. With a super quick foia time the criminal could immediately start working on their case with their lawyer and get a trail scheduled and heard in 2-4days after the incident when people still remember what happened and care about the outcome. I also think they desperately need an ankle bracelet system for people that plead not guilty. Make it so they appear as a blip on the DOC radar, and they can't take the bracelet off by anyone until their case has been ruled upon by a judge. Then based on the severity or how violent the crime is, the criminal will either be forced to put the case on the docket and have a full trial, or they will be added to a group bench trial that will take place in each storm every couple of days, where like 10 defendants will be scheduled to have a trial at the same time, and the Judge will hear a short statement from both parties (the cops don't have to show up if they don't think its necessary and judge can use their statement in the report). Then the judge will make a ruling and immediately move on to the next defendant with the goal of processing all of the defendants within an hour. The fun thing about this type of system would be that DOC could be given the power to act as bounty hunters when tracking down criminals that haven't shown up to their trials. Combined with them being able to take inmates on work field trips around the city, you could have like 8 DOC on at all times taking turns watching the prison and going outside the prison and getting a change of scenery. Its also important that someone like DOC has the power of monitoring the criminals in the city that have anklebracelets because you can't trust the cops to not use that information against the criminals. Could also make it so the criminal pays like 3x the fine like a bail in order to receive an anklebracelet and avoid serving time, then if they don't show up for their trial the DOC pockets the extra bail money as payment for them hunting down the criminal. Also, giving the DOC more jobs to do would make it more viable, or give more encouragement to the PD to kick out the bad/corrupt cops in order to transfer them DOC.
@@aleksisuuronen5969 Funnily enough, if K didn't get screwed over and treated like a crim, he never would have had court, if he didn't have court, he wouldn't have needed Ramee's help escaping after the oxygen tank failed. Domino effect be wild sometimes lol

A large part of the people involved hate the kind of documentation which Koil is suggesting needs to be involved, which is fair as many people hate that kind of work when they collect an actual paycheck for it. Court cases that justify longer than 60 minutes of jail time are to much RP and work for most of the people involved in them. They need to restrict the court to civil cases and rethink what a criminal trail should entail and ways to ensure the people involved can be consistent with it.
Nah, they just need to be given a short 2hour time limit to write their reports. Theres no reason why a cop couldn't write a paragraph in like 15minutes and for that to be enough to go to court with. They don't need people to give an exhausting amount of paperwork, they just need cops to be consistently filling out their paperwork so the RP has something to go off of. The thing is that cops have 30 days to push charges onto people. If they don't have enough evidence to confidently push charges right away with a short statement, then they should be doing investigations or handing that off to a detective who is willing to do the paperwork. The larger cases with huge jail time and fines should probably be the result of investigations anyway. They live on an island of immortals so its really not a big deal to let criminals walk and put a warrant out for their arrest, its simply not possible for them to avoid their warrant forever. If a cop doesn't want to write up their report, then they always have the option of working with the lawyers at the cell rep to give the criminals a discount in charges, time, or fines in order to get a guilty plea.
@@WARnTEA Except Koil is talking about continuous administration tasks here. Tracking jail time, providing updated documents to all parties involved upon request, etc. Further he is talking about multi hour court cases for any sentence over 60 minutes. Almost every court case I have watched that goes long ends up with peoples eyes glazing over and one or more parties becoming bored and acting out. The criminal trial system as it is now is not engaging enough to keep everyone interested in the RP. Nor is it perceived as fair enough to allow the defendants to fell like there is any value in that time. All the spirit, and letter of the law nonsense has tainted the perception of the DOJ. They need to figure out what there specific goals are for criminal trials and how to best achieve those goals while being able to provide opportunities for the parties involved to RP and progress the stories involved. Like Koil mentions here "The person taking the punishment if that is to occur is the only one having anything largely impactful happen to them."
@@xxkildarxx Regarding court cases they really need to just outlaw objections. There is basically no point to an objection when there is no jury. The point of an objection is to stop questions or answers that can sway a jury. Since the Judge knows the law they should be able to overlook anything that might be objection worthy. The main reason court cases have been so long is because the objections get out of hand, and the Judge usually spends an unreasonable amount of time warning people to stop objecting.

Koil basically came back to the server to see what the problems were because many people were complaining about 4.0, not just CG. The only reason he was in that courtcase is because he was stresstesting the system and trying to figure what the problems were so he can work on improving it. I would be mad too if I were him and found out that the people I trusted to build the system ended up making something that has become anti-RP, forcing civilians into becoming felons, and determining that someone is guilty before listening to them. Or forcing charges onto people that they don't deserve/aren't backed up by legislation.

Actually most times.
It was really unfortunate how K and Ramee was treated liked crims from the get go, the Ramee lawyer arc was so much fun before it got shut down..
@@kgth3b3ast40 I was more so talking about when he was shot down in a car and Ramee held up by a knife when cops came to the scene. Still cops searched K even tho they weren't supposed to and found the dirty gun, treated like a crim from the get go of the interaction. That was when he lost being just a "civ" and got charges
Consequences for double standard judges is definitely needed. Depending on the situation its either letter of the law or spirit of the law to whatever gets CG a guilty verdict 😂😂
this seems great actual step in the right direction i was debating if anything would change after soze couldnt do it within RP with his case but he sure shut me up. only thing is i just hope this get implemented sooner rather then later!! good shit nopixel
Idk getting put in jail for a week on a content server is completely insane to me - But maybe I'm insane. I'm insane. No, I'm definitely insane.
Games bigger than letting it run itself.....you know the plot
It’s fair both should receive consequences because it’s always the people who preach about the law always gets away with crime in NP.
part of the issue is so many judges have cop alt and they think and act like cops on their judge character.
W take
A large part of the people involved hate the kind of documentation which Koil is suggesting needs to be involved, which is fair as many people hate that kind of work when they collect an actual paycheck for it.
The main reason court cases have been so long is because the objections get out of hand, and the Judge usually spends an unreasonable amount of time warning people to stop objecting.
just add admin for crims who they can go to to talk about their problems ic

New shiz bro
Get rid of PD bias Judges like Angel and Adams
Typical cry gang like always
I love you but the server is young 3.0 CALM DOWN
Just ban the people clearly using personal bias against others, you do it all the time when it is against anything woke why not do it to the people that are actually hurting the server..
Cry gang, crying yet again lol
Stop
Cry Gang at it again, why wouldn't Koil just give shares of Nopixel to CG since he bows down at there every whim at this point should just be called NoPixel CG sing these guys cry and whine when nothing goes there way
Just curious why are you so but hurt about cg? What koil is addressing is affecting everyone and has been brought up by people all across np yet your hyoer focused on cg who is only one part of the equation
Holy Yap, just make the sentences lower? It's giving i'm mad I lost a single court case.
Just name this server CGpixel lmao
Should be called that since they're the only ones that actually RP
he is baiting with title for haters like you to talk shit 😊
Uh oh, koil said consequences and severe, CG are gonna start crying
cop viewers crying as usual, i think the PD is so inept because their viewer base chew rocks so they think they're providing good RP
Uh oh, koil said consequences and severe, Haters are gonna start crying
Cg will survive and persevere there's a reason Kevin has never been banned everything he does is pure rp and koil even admitted that, yall can cry about them but fact is they're better rp'ers by miles than your favorites who get ooc toxic and jealous about chang gang being better than them. Go watch your 40 year old man child moonmoon and watch him break through 4th wall all day and fuck up the server. Lmfao please stay out of any cg twitch, we don't want you to see real rp.
@@Stukels lol moonmoon has been removed perm, he says he wont stream it because he cant
Where was this energy when Ember Quinn was jailed for 10 days for murder? Oh she isn't part of CG.
Some people have a louder voice it’s literally just like real life 🤷♂️
Who 😂
There needs to be equal consequences because if you’re giving crim streamers actual IRL days in jail the same should go to cops and judges breaking the law.
