Thank you so much for another SA facts video ♥ Always good to learn. The fact about electricity kind of shocked me... and the calm you speak about it! Great respect for you!
Yes I think the dragon has had a big influence in South Africa's alternative history. So much can be gleaned from the etymology of the names given to towns and provided for various landscape features like the Drakensberg Mountains. Lots of very interesting information you provide in such a relaxed good vibe ASMR atmosphere. You are a good ambassador for your country.
Very nice and relaxing, but also very interesting. One other thing I found out a while back was that the Portuguese in the very early 1500's were the first Europeans to round the cape. They were on route to find India and the lucrative spices and other luxury goods that went down the Silk Road.( not sure if they landed or not).
Very interesting video Rose, it's always nice to learn about other countries. It must be very frustrating trying to film during the load shedding period and having the power cut off in the middle of your video. We also have a multilingual national anthem here in Canada, in fact we have 3 versions: one in french, one in english and one bilingual. I hope you're doing well and thank you for the video
@@ashleahickey8778 Right after watching Rose's video I rushed to your anthem - it is amazing in its diversity and sounds so beautiful! Even though I understood only English part 😅
I swear when i try to say xhosa after i do the clicking sound no other sounds comes out of my mouth like i cant say the left words😂😂😂did this happen to anyone or just me
Can you please be on iTunes? It would be absolutely amazing. I would single handedly skyrocket your plays. It would be like Christmas for my ears every night. 😂
How come you guys say soccer? Here in UK aswell as Nederlands people say football usually. I thought thats where afrikaaners come from. Thanks for all your great videos by the way Rosie x
Haha yeah that makes a lot of sense. A lot of settlements have solar panels, but I don't think any commercial electricity is generated that way. But I could be wrong
Veslemøy Haugen Aren’t they looking into putting solar panels on the Sahara desert because like 1% I’d the desert covered in solar would power like the whole of America I think it was
@@RosyASMR solar farms would be a good idea but as much as we are a bit in close proximity to the tropic of capricorn, we do not receive a lot of strong rays since most of the country is located in the subtropical belt

She did the click and everything!!! 😁👏😁👏👍👍👍
But she made 1 mistake. South Africa doesn’t have the most official languages in the world. Zimbabwe has, at 16.
You never fail when teaching us about South Africa. I find it interesting!
Hello from the uk 🇬🇧 The South African accent is my favourite accent in the world, it's so beautiful! Your videos are lovely :-) x

Honestly think you’re one of the best ASMRtists out there!
I wholeheartedly agree with you.

Wow, thank you! I appreciate it :)
Also, another fact that I heard somewhere was that South Africa was one of the first countries to legalize gay marriage.
Yep, I think I mentioned that in my first facts about SA video :)
@@RosyASMR really? I'll go watch it then😂😊

Interesting facts there Rosy, thank you! :)
Having lived in Zimbabwe I definitely can relate to the frustrations caused by load shedding

Thanks! Yes, Bartolomeu Dias was the first. They would land at the Cape to get fresh food. He actually died in Cape Town.

Our South African anthem consists of those 5 languages, it’s not versions 😁 we sing all 5 together as 1 song
Hiccup and Hicks I get that, I was just saying that we too have an anthem that is sung in more than one language in one song

I'm not much for whisper videos (prefer soft spoken), but of course, I thoroughly enjoy Rosy's whisper videos because it's Rosy.
Happy Sunday 😊
Thank you! You're so sweet :) Happy Monday!
Your voice is sooo soothing love this channel
After hearing the Drakensberg fact I googled the English translation of the area I live (Drakenstein)and I just learnt that it means Dragonstone😊
Random yet informative. Thanks, Rose.
You need to make more of these ones!
Idk but your South African videos are my favorite

I love South Africa, especially Cape Town and their national rugby team 💛🇿🇦.

Love the videos about South Africa
What mic are you using ?
Cool facts! Hello from 🇨🇦
Love it!!!!
Interesting. Regards from México 👍🇲🇽
Isn't it really windy around Capetown add that area? Would be opportune for wind power
Definitely, I hope they go for more wind farms in future :)

My god I never knew you have to deal with rolling outages. Not having reliable electricity is not only inconvenient but dangerous. Wow.
It doesn't affect grid lines with important facilities like hospitals, but yeah, it's difficult
Afrikans is also called Daughter Dutch. The derogatory term is Kitchen Dutch.

I'm not too sure, it is weird. Thank you! :)
Isnt football the american sport. I too called it football growing up but just adopted soccer from everyone else

Why don’t South Africa get solar panels ? Like it’s hot there isn’t it?
Haha yeah that makes a lot of sense. A lot of settlements have solar panels, but I don't think any commercial electricity is generated that way. But I could be wrong

Veslemøy Haugen yeah exactly, to be honest I’ve never met anybody who though heat is what generates the power

I'd never heard that term before. But yeah. It's sad
Struggles to generate enough electricity. Are they thinking about putting in new solar farms or anything?
Not that I know of... We have commercial wind farms and some settlements have private solar panels, but I don't know of any commercial solar farms.
