    Yes I think the dragon has had a big influence in South Africa's alternative history. So much can be gleaned from the etymology of the names given to towns and provided for various landscape features like the Drakensberg Mountains.

    Very nice and relaxing, but also very interesting. One other thing I found out a while back was that the Portuguese in the very early 1500's were the first Europeans to round the cape. They were on route to find India and the lucrative spices and other luxury goods that went down the Silk Road.( not sure if they landed or not).

    • @RosyASMR
      @RosyASMR  4 года назад +1

      Thanks! Yes, Bartolomeu Dias was the first. They would land at the Cape to get fresh food. He actually died in Cape Town.

    Very interesting video Rose, it's always nice to learn about other countries. It must be very frustrating trying to film during the load shedding period and having the power cut off in the middle of your video. We also have a multilingual national anthem here in Canada, in fact we have 3 versions: one in french, one in english and one bilingual. I hope you're doing well and thank you for the video

    • @ashleahickey8778
