The sound quality is probably a tad better using wired connection.i find that with my ar5 bt . When I break out my DAC personal sound device it really shows. Maybe bt 5 is truly lossless, I dunno
@@SuperReview is it worth the migration, hardware upgrade etc. I am enjoying by BT5 with phones computers and tablet but for sheer musicality I do use a dedicated DAC and wire the Ar5 What's your experience?
I had the AR3BT, and even though it was a cheaper model then the SR5BTs, it was still pretty good headphones. It had great sound and good Bluetooth range. The major problem I had was the build quality. It was made with cheap plastic, and 2 months later enjoying the headphones, the hinge snapped... :/
I tried the ath-sr6bt and there very clear but no bass. I tried the ath-msr7 which I really like clear sound with tight punchy bass but it's not to much. How would you compare these to the ath-msr7
Hi. I'm thinking of getting one of this. I'm just wondering, how is the basic maintenance going to be when I'm gonna use it for work out and office use. Is wiping the ear part with wet tissue the best way to go? What about the top part that rests on top of our head? Any helpful response will be deeply appreciated!
Hm, I haven't used these for workouts. They're light enough I think, but the earcups and headband are made of a soft material that may absorb sweat. I think for workouts I'd look at another headphone with more plastic/silicone parts.
Super* Review I can’t find any more info about why, but they now use a “vinyl or polyurethane based material” that they call leatherette. I think there are also third party earpads that have real leather. Also, cool channel! I will be subscribing!
The volume toggle on mine is definitely a bit more wiggly than the power switch. The power switch is solid -- the volume nob has some play, but I can't hear it moving when I'm wearing the headphones.
I just tried these the Bluetooth version and I also tried them in wired mode. Bluetooth mode not worth getting. I tried them in wired mode big difference in sound quality. For a way better sound I would recommend to go with the sr5bk the wired model. The volume on the Bluetooth model is really low very weak bass the sound quality sounds tiny. But when you plug in the the wire then they come to life. I think Bluetooth model is a wast of money especially at $150 even at lower price I still wouldn't recommend them. But the ath-sr5bk which is the wired model if they sound as good as the Bluetooth version in wired mode then I would recommend them
The only thing I think of when I see “synthetic leather” is plastic. Lots of plastic that will go on to pollute the earth instead of being biodegradable like real leather. Plus the cows are likely to be getting killed for food anyway so why waste the skin
Panasonic G7 + Olympus 25mm f/1.8 lens for the head shots. Panasonic GM5 + Panasonic 42.5mm f/1.7 lens for the unboxing shots. This is the camera: amzn.to/2AD1msa
Great review. Nice to find a video with someone actually putting the headphones on their head
Did the smell test add anything for you?
Of course. I base all my tech purchases on how they smell -- You're doing God's work my friend.
I loved the Fro style sniff test!! I miss your camera and lens reviews. Great cans too.

Nah, not lossless.

How is the volume level in wired mode? Is it louder and how about the sound quality in wired mode
Sound is better on the wire vs. Bluetooth. Volume will depend on your source, but I don't have any issue getting them louder than I'd want.

SR5BT is the only one I've heard, sorry.
more bass than the msr7 but msr7 is on a different level when it comes to imaging, separation, clarity etc

AT hasn’t used real leather since 2011 I think
Interesting, any reason why?
The material on these -- whatever it is -- is really nice.

@@SuperReview im guessing to minimize un-needed animal exploitation/abuse/killing
Do you feel that the volume button is loose? In my model i feel it's too loose compared to the on/off button for example

I can hear mine moving tho, when I'm tilting my head a few degree, how bout yours?
Hi. Thanks for the review. What do you think it vs AKG Y50BT? Which one is better?
Sorry, I haven't used the AKGs.
They need to make these with USB C given its 3 years now

I have the AR5 bt and the bluetooth quality is really good, though the wired sound is even better, especially when driven by audiophile gear
do any of you guys know the difference between the headset reviewed here and
Audio-Technica ATH-M50xBT
They're pretty different.
@@SuperReview witch is the best sounding bluetooth headset?
The sniff test!! hahhaha
BTW, I think the use of synthetic leather is not a bad thing.. less suffering for the poor cows.
😂 Yeah, most synthetic leather is plenty good, just feels a little extra special to have real leather...and I like the way it smells.

Amazing quality video! what camera you use if you don't mind me asking?
Panasonic G7 + Olympus 25mm f/1.8 lens for the head shots. Panasonic GM5 + Panasonic 42.5mm f/1.7 lens for the unboxing shots.

How did I not answer this before? I use a Panasonic G7 with Olympus 25/1.8 lens in this video.
One button works well enough. It's a sign of a cheaper pair of headphones, but it's not pointless lol
THEY CAN'T FOLD UP?
The cups swivel, but no folding in the headband.
I got some of these for 90$
That's a good price 👌 I've been seeing them lately @ $99.
it's very cheap biatch
Poor Guy…you can also smell your feet to check if it’ sur real leather…
That's a bizarre thing to type into a RUclips comment.
Bro, you got a leather issue 😂
I just wanna smell it.
I hope it's not leather. I don't need animal skin on such product... Audiotechnica knows that there are many people who don't want leather.
All leatherette
If they can simulate the smell of leather, I won't even care.
