I love Guts and the Slayer, and the parallels between them, even if there is a very big difference between him and the Slayer in terms of how they were written, where the Doomslayer is made to be an unmatched force of nature that the Demon's are terrified of, completely unbound, unyielding, and unstoppable, Guts is a (mostly) normal man doing everything to live his best life in a terrible, frightening, monstrous world, even if he must become a monster himself to achieve that. In a way, Guts more reminds me of the Slayer before he became empowered by the Divinity Machine. Still, frankly speaking, just a human with superhuman abilities, but whose will is unrivaled by any one else in the universe. If Guts was put through the Divinity Machine, I %1000 believe he would come out just like the Doomslayer did.
Oh yeah for sure. They're similarly written. They both hate demons. They both have lost much, both of them are basically humans who were grateful power. Although the slayer definitely outclasses guts in power, both are goated characters and need a crossover.
True that, also what about the scream in Doom 2016 when you destroy a gore nest? That scream is something else, i feel like it's so underrated, it makes everything x100 more brutal
