Man, that one unit of Chosen was down to 47 models from fighting black orcs when you dropped that fat heal on them. They didn't lost another model the rest of the game. I love Nurgle Chosen so much.
And a lot of that HP they lost was because their old Uncle Furuncle betrayed them and blasted them with a stream of corruption at like 4:10, Gigachads

I really love when players try out different stuff like this. It helps maintain a healthy changing meta.
Games seem so great this patch. The wild double giant and arachnarok spider is so fun.
Chosen of Nurgle are in fact the tankiest ones. Poison lowers damage by 15% so it is literally the same as 15% Ward Save when you think about it... as long as you are fighting the thing that is damaging you of course :)
They get melted by ranged units like everything else in this game thanks to CA's fetish for ranged firepower in a game that should be all about melee.

Who decides that?
whip chosen get poison too pretty sure, plus the phys resist of the mark. that’s why they’re generally considered the most durable. on WoC you can bring them with festus for healing, actually somewhat common to see 3 + festus.

I hope CA continues to reduce the Greater Daemon costs. They're always a ton of fun when they show up in MP. I want to see a Keeper of Secrets meta.
Fiends of slaanesh are also criminally underrated, a fast and furious demonic horde would be so nice though
Keeper is actually good in match ups with not too much shooting
Why not buff a greater daemon? their are literally the biggest baddest non named demonic units in the setting

Awesome to see greater daemons in play! You mentioned around the middle of the battle that the GS would be better off with a more dakka- or skirmish-focused build. How would Nurgle try to counter that? I would think the bubonic boys don’t have a whole lot that can really effectively catch and kill a bunch of skirmish cav or ranged units, even if they can sort of weather that storm with a bunch of shielded infantry and healing blobs.
Nurgle stream of corruption is pretty good actually imo.
simply heal through it, the dps is not high enough to outdamage the heals of Festus, fecundaty and fleshy abundance
Rot flies, furies, hounds, Marauder cav... Nurgle has decent options
Endure it and go for caps

i LOVE when big erect ROR units get some daylight. Sooo tired of the cheap unit spam and "meta" stuff. Turin, i hope you keep bringing cover like this!
If CA could give out good missile resist, to single entities. so that Small arms missile fire, is not the most effective way to deal with them. That you actually have to bring anti large. that would change things.
That seems like one of the major downsides of Domination. Having two cheap units almost always better than one expensive one because they can contest two points at the same time.
@ 2:29 in the video: Nice. :D They Buffed UNCLE FURUNCLE. they gave him more uses of his spells. back to 2 each. but they took 1 use away from 1 spell. and gave him a 3rd spell. :) i'm really happy about this. Having only 1 use of a bound spell for Greater demons. made them far worse in my opinion. So I'm glad they buffed them again. :)
Great composition, very entertaining battle. The dude countered your units well without countering your tactics. As you said; he should've gone more mobile to avoid your debuffs and AOE.
You played exceptionally Turin. You had control of the field the whole time regardless of qhat value and points showed.
It was a fun game and unlike anything I had seen Nurgle bring before.

this is why u bring the foot against nurgle, this set up is pretty meta atm and also prob better to send the giants after the chosen etc. since u can actually kill models and they can't heal that back, the nurgle death ball can only really hold one obj so u just kill everything that's not big and play the other 2

Considering that he brought the dreaded Teef Robbers, I suspect the GS player was mostly just having a giggle.
If you cut the second cultist, you could give the other a horse so he can hold objectives and chase off the fast units.
I think if the GS player just sat his skirmish cav behind his lines to shoot the GUO that would have been a better use of them. Other than that he fought well, gg!

Been using furuncle in a few matchups underrated,. In the right matchups can be an anchor late game.

Why dont demonspew see more play as nurgle? dont they have a -5 melee attack buff for the blob fight?
Try them out, this might be a good idea. I think Nurgle Forsaken overall are really nice in some matchups

How does one get his campaign Daemon Prince to show up in multiplayer battles?
You have to use the lord loading option in a MP lobby, can't be used for ranked/tourneys tho, only casual!

Does Wurzaag provide anything in a fight like this? I don't really think so. All of his spells are tailored for a very different kind of battle, and he's the most expensive Greenskin Lord option, if Azhag doesn't bring his Wyvern.
I think that's really swaying the outcome here. Just very little to no value offered from his Lord choice. EDIT: Yea Wuurzag only had 3.8k damage. For how expensive he is that's just pathetic.
Might want to think about bringing Azhag against Nurgle, or possibly even mess around with a more generic Lord option.

Am I the only one that thinks half of Nurgle's mark makes no sense? +5MD -5MA, why? Melee Defense implies dodging, pairing, and blocking attacks. Seems more like a Slannesh thing. Personally I think a more lorful mark would be Extra health, poison, 10% physical resistance, Fear and -5 speed. Maybe then warriors of chaos might bring a Nurgle unit beside Festus 😂
