Very attractive! I have an old circular plant tree in my garden, and I think some of these with strawberries or flowers would be very pretty hanging from it. Love the bright color! I would recommend adding pete moss and vermiculite to soil for moisture and drainage. I will add a piece of screening at the bottom to prevent the soil from falling through when they are actually thoroughly watered. In my dry climate, just a spray won't cut it. Thanks for all your creative ideas in recycling!

This flower name is Portulaca, originally from Central America, love sun, so easy to grow and easy to multiply by cutting. I used to enjoy these flower in Japan. During day blossom fully open and night time close their petals, so cute and vibrant coloure. Thanks for this guy, very good idea on the sliding door. Take care. X

Beautiful idea! This would look lovely on the side of our house to trail down to the pond garden we have, like a floral waterfall! So much easier, lighter, and nicer than using a full crate! And the bottles on the caps make them easy to trade out. Or to bring in during harsh weather for other plants that aren't perennial. Thank you so much for sharing!

One summer use. It should last that long. Next year use new bottles screw into old caps. If you took down the year before and store in garage or basement the caps should be fine if not you at least have the wood and ropes all measured out and ready to use next summer. By next summer you will have consumed enough to have more fresh bottles ready.

That type of plastic puts dioxin in the soil which causes breast cancer. I wouldn't put fruits or herbs or anything edible in these.
