@@m3rcuryslaboratory322 "Obviously, you're not a golfer." I just didn't see the appeal the couple times I played it compared to other Tampa area gems. Now, if I lived like 15 minutes away, I'd probably hit it a couple times weekly.
I was there on Wednesday 5-4-22 at 10:30AM from basket one thru 12 both trailing and playing behind Calvin Heimburg and his two buddies. I'm that old grandpa dude wearing knee braces and a black cap in the background on number 7 and 9. That drive on 12 was awe inspiring epic to watch as I positioned myself perfectly as were the rest. Calvin sent that backhand about 25-30 feet past the basket. Most amateurs need two drives to equal that or at least this old dude. About 7 years ago I got to see a tournament in La Mirada showcasing Paul McBeth, Ricky Wysocki and Simone Lizotte. Now if I could only see playing live Eagle McMahon and Chris Dickerson at La Mirada, that would make this ardent disc golf playing and watching fan's experience extremely memorable. And I wouldn't mind one bit seeing Paige Pierce, Catrina Allen and of course Kristin Tattar playing a practice round at La Mirada. Oh lucky and wishful me.
Calvin definitely needs more of these types of videos. Side note: my only ace in California was on hole 9 of this course back in 1989. I was playing with a very young Steve Valencia, he called it in when it was halfway there. Used a rings and wings Roc
2022 Barsby Eagles are fantastic. Playing a round yesterday and experimenting with different drivers I found myself saying "Should have just thrown the Eagle" more than once!
Funny enough I bag two 2018 Barsby Tour Series Eagles. I love the stability!!!Yesterday I heard about the new color glow Barsby tour series Eagle. I Immediately went to Otb disc, it'll be here Friday lol! The eagle is one of the best disc ever made!!!!
What treat! My favorite player showcasing my favorite disc on a course I've played several times. I even lost a Barsby Eagle on hole 13. The one with the OB along the shore of the lake. My favorite, perfectly beat in, blurple with a navy stamp. I was a bit rainy and the disc slipped out at a weird angle and got a massive skip. So sad.
Played La Miranda for the first time visiting family this past Christmas, in the pouring rain! So cool to be at disc golf ground zero and now see Calvin hittin it! I couldn’t believe how many different kind of birds were there. And my Dad lost my daughter’s Roc rolling down the hill into the pond on hole 17, first disc my Dad says he’s ever lost. Definitely not clear water🙃 Only saw four other players that day, and two were from Washington just like me. Seems the rain kept most people home Go Calvin, love seeing you crush these holes (that I didn’t 😄)!
I just played La Mirada yesterday. Would have been so cool to meet Calvin. Crazy too because I was also throwing the Barsby Eagle on forehand and it is easy to control and l got some great shots with it. Always rooting for Vinny, such a cool cat.
2:46 Stranger: "What's the name of the... this game?" Calvin : "Uh, this is called disc golf" Random stranger doesn't realize he's speaking to one of the greatest pros to ever live.
I try to hit at least one baseball stadium every year accompanied with one disc golf course within reach, and La Mirada was my course with Dodger Stadium in 2019. Super fun course.
I think what we really need is Vinny to compare an Eagle disc to Eagle the person and to eagle the bird. Please give us the content that we crave. Review all 3
Calvin was 30 mins away from the second oldest course, Huntington Beach, Pauls home turf. I hope he played it, it's been my home course since 08. Would be interesting to see him play it.
@@InnovaDiscGolf More Philo, definitely, and more In The Bag / Bag Check videos. It's great to see what the top pros are throwing over time, and how their bags change.
I love this course, but I like the backside 18. Less non DG people around walking and playing. You should really try and play Pasadena as well. Oldest permanent course in the country I believe.
@@InnovaDiscGolf a Philo and Calvin round would make everyone better. Their life philosophies are very deep. Throw in Luke Humphries and James Conrad and it’d be epic.
I’ll repeat what all the others have already said: we want more Calvin, he’s the best.
Noted, thanks
I agree! Such a likeable guy, and very talented.
Great advice as well!
Couldn't agree more! Never miss a Calvin video.
He has been my favorite since ive started watching. Love Calvin
Random guy asks ‘What is this game’….to one of the best who have every played it, and has no idea….LOL. CH 727, Pinellas 💯
I love how he just answered the question and offered no additional info lol
ayyye 727, coachman park, cliff stevens lets goooo
@@m3rcuryslaboratory322 Coachman kinda sucks. I'd take Cliff, Oldsmar, Maximo, Taylor, almost anything in that area over that course.

His explanation of competing really explains why he’s always so calm and controlled in tournaments. Great video!
We dig Vinny’s mindset

This is exactly what I wanted from this video. Good content Innova and Calvin!
Thanks, we’re working on more
"you just keep trying" words to live by. Love your humor Calvin
Tells it like it is, gotta love Vinny for that
Calvin is and has been my favorite since I got introduced to disc golf about 2 years ago. Can’t wait till he wins a worlds or national.

A young Steve Valencia was a beast on the tour scene
Calvin is the coolest guy. So nice to watch him take time for the fans.
The best teacher is failure!
Ain't that the truth!
Ya gotta love Calvin!
My favorite
Hole 5. Distance forehands- the best teacher is failure. Genius wisdom off the cuff. Love it!!!
2022 Barsby Eagles are fantastic. Playing a round yesterday and experimenting with different drivers I found myself saying "Should have just thrown the Eagle" more than once!
“Best teacher is failure”. No truer words, Vinny. 😊
If Calvin's in Cali he should also try out Concordia University's 18-hole course in Irvine. A lot of urban obstacles to work around.
Loved hearing some of his takes on the mental game. Vinny is the best!

Vinny’s first visit, glad he (we) could help
This felt so relaxing and chill to watch 😁

I love Calvin, man
This was awesome! thanks for this video! We need some Vinnie Eagles!
When are we going to see a Heimburg Eagle?
Hole 12 and 13 are pretty gnarly holes on this course and Calvin smoked both of those. That is nuts

give this mans a tour series eagle already

Did you guys skip hole two or just not film it?
Shout out to the man who asked Calvin Heimberg what the sport was called.
“This is a glowing review. It’s like, ok, anybody can throw this disc. Alright, ok, I probably did throw it OB.”

Calvin if you're still in so cal let's go play Chavez ravine, or HB!!!
How cool would that be for Vinny to show up at your local and be the chillest guy ever?

We say the same thing
To the old guy: “This is called disc golf, and i’m one of the best players in the world” hahaha
