I love the base game, was hoping and then waiting for the expansion to be reprinted. I was looking forward to the parks and extra tiles to go up to 25, the rest of the modules was never really exciting.

I'd love to discover some really spooky/horror/apocalyptic games. Also, have you played 'escape the dark castle'? 😊 Thanks in advance!
Funny enough, someone did ask if they could do Top 10 Horror Games with me, the problem is I can only really think of about 9 tops and most of them are Cthluhu based. Escape the Dark Castle doesn't interest me much. Certainly Arkham Horror LCG is great, Ghost Stories if you can find it is solid. Escape from the Aliens in Outer Space if you like hidden movement. Nemesis of course is Alien in a box.
@@TheBrokenMeeple how about an updated 2 player games list? ☺ I'd love to see some sort of scale on your videos at the start which includes player count, average game duration and score out of 5 for replayability. ☺

Love Ginkgopolis, and I have this expansion on hold at the moment! I am curious to see if I have similar feelings to you on this one. I usually don't enjoy extra "meanness" to a game that already has a lot of player interaction. And yes, adding that rules variant as an actual module is...definitely ridiculous and based on your description, I think it totally goes against the fun drafting decisions of this game (although maybe its good for new players?). I just got this game for my birthday back in April. I played it once with son and it was a bit confusing. Enjoyed it very much. Bummer, I was hoping the expansion would bring it to a different level. No sense getting it if only one mod is good. Thanks for the video.
No prob J, honestly if you find the base game confusing, the expansion isn't going to assist with that. One of the main games flaws is the lack of intuitiveness.

The new buildings and green areas will be the best elements and won't include more meanness - the rest though, easily skip.
