I was sobbing for most of the movie over realizing how precious life is and how we take it for granted. Just not realizing how lucky some of us are to be healthy and not having to question if we’ll live past tomorrow, and also feeling so close to Sammy and feeling her pain. I can relate so much.
Amen to that! my heart is with Sammy and the Sobiech family!! I am so glad this became a movie to teach us to live in the moment and take nothing for granted. My favorite Zach quote that is also my computer screen saver is you dont have to find out you are dying to start living.
I was in high school in Minnesota when Zach was originally going through all of this back in 2013. I've been a big fan of A Firm Handshake's music. I was skeptical of this movie when it first came out because of the expectations it had to meet. Zach had such a powerful story and a big impact on all of us here. Despite not knowing him personally, I definitely felt a connection. Having now seen the movie, I can say with total honesty that they lived up to expectations. They did everything right with this one. The fact that the actors actually consulted family members and friends for their roles, the director had known Zach personally and was committed to his cause, and the use of the band's original music really made the movie real. This song is no exception. Despite being written by this small band nobody knew, it was a beautifully written song and any listener can hear the emotion come through. Nothing but love and respect for everyone involved.
Omg so you knew Zach? I wish I knew the guy but I will be graduating Stillwater high school in 2025 yes I do live in Minnesota as well and I’m honestly glad I will be going there, do you know if the same principal is still there now?

And hello fellow Pony ;D Graduating this year (2021) myself.
When Sammy confessed that she thought that they would both end up together at the end and Zach said he thought the same thing.....I was so broken by that part and started tearing up from how unfair it was to both of them. And then they started passing little lines of lyrics/ messages in the book to each other and they were so sweet, I couldn't help but sob my heart out. Sammy's pain of losing her best friend to both love and death hurt me on a personal level. I also do believe they would have found each other at the end if they had more time and experience. But unfortunately life can be unpredictable and sometimes unfair. On another note, I loved how Zach handled that situation. You could really tell he loved, adored and valued Sammy above all else in his life.

I feel Sammy. I really do. It's painful to see your best friend falling in love to other person while you're also in love with your best friend. Those painful things made you happy because as a best friend what you needed to do is to support and be on the side of your best friend whatever happens.

I typically don't cry, but when I watched this movie I teared up. This is my favorite story, I can't help but feel overwhelming emotions. My close friend who is my ear doctor just recently passed away due to cancer and that's when it hit me that it's really the worst pain to lose someone you love.

I havent watched the movie yet but this song is so good, from what I get only by listening to the song is a slight sense of selfishness, reassurance, and determination. He is asking her to be strong and she is asking him to stay. Really unique type of song kinda like a song from a musical. It clearly tells the wants and needs of these two characters but in a pleasant way. Really relatable too, really great.

Something's wrong with me but I've been listening to this song all day even now and it's 9:34 p.m. it's such a beautiful song I can't get it out of my head I love the lyrics Sabrina and Finn did an incredible job with the characters of Zach and Sammy especially everyone else in the cast too cloud is a beautiful inspiring movie and I love the soundtrack this song is my favorite
I think the 1st part of the song is about them admitting their feelings to each. Then sammy is asking zach to keep foghting but the "cannot fix me up darling" is him telling her that he can't do anything about it. After the instrumentals without lyrics they talk about how their lives could've been if Zach was 'normal' then she tells him to keep on fighting whether or not his terminal. After the part where they harmonise(without lyrics) Sammy is begging him to stay,then the roles are switched and Zach is making Sammy promise to keep living without him and to never give up. I lowkey relate to this because its like a friendship that you both know is a lost cause but you are both attached to the memories that you cannot let go,and you're forced to watch your friendship die.

Something's wrong with me but I've been listening to this song all day even now and it's 9:34 p.m. it's such a beautiful song I can't get it out of my head I love the lyrics Sabrina and Finn did an incredible job with the characters of Zach and Sammy especially everyone else in the cast too cloud is a beautiful inspiring movie and I love the soundtrack this song is my favorite

I think the 1st part of the song is about them admitting their feelings to each. Then sammy is asking zach to keep foghting but the "cannot fix me up darling" is him telling her that he can't do anything about it.
After the instrumentals without lyrics they talk about how their lives could've been if Zach was 'normal' then she tells him to keep on fighting whether or not his terminal.
After the part where they harmonise(without lyrics) Sammy is begging him to stay,then the roles are switched and Zach is making Sammy promise to keep living without him and to never give up.
I lowkey relate to this because its like a friendship that you both know is a lost cause but you are both attached to the memories that you cannot let go,and you're forced to watch your friendship die.
