'Love Story' Stars Ryan O'Neal, Ali MacGraw on Working on Their Heart Wrenching Movie

People everywhere were reading the novel. Those were the days when we didn't
have a million entertainment choices. Things were more special.
Love Story, and Great Gatsby where really big when we were kids and they were both so classic and wonderful. The rest of the time we played and had our own lives we didnt have our heads in texting or cells or computers like today

They were revelation in my life... back to Poland when I was teenager, I didn´t speak to anybody for many days (!), after I saw movie for the first time...my mom was very worry about me. Thank you guys for this experience, you are always in my heart.

Ryan O’Neal, who kicked off an extraordinary 1970s run in Hollywood with his Oscar-nominated turn as the Harvard preppie Oliver in the legendary romantic tearjerker Love Story, has died. He was 82. O’Neal died Friday December 8, 2023.. He had been diagnosed with chronic leukemia in 2001 and with prostate cancer in 2012.

Love is never having to say you’re sorry.
That line has never made sense to me. When asked about it, Ali said "It's a crock." And Ryan added, "You'd BETTER say you're sorry."
MacGraw is right. The line is a crock. But I think that's what the character would think. She's a 24-yo with strong ideas about what love means. Her positions lack seasoning, but they represent an unusually strong stance for a real or fictional person.

Their voices sounded the same in 2014 as they did in 1970, especially Ali's. I just watched Paper Moon again a few days ago and I agree with them. Great movie.

Ryan O’Neal is pleasant character to be with when he isn’t on substance abuse. Ali McGraw has always been a grounded character despite her shortcomings in past relationships. The two of them reuniting is such wonderful chemistry.
