FIRST TIME BOONDOCKING / INSPIRATION POINT & HIDDEN FALLS STRATEGY / GRAND TETON with KIDS / Ep 34

In this epic episode, we arrive at Gros Venture campground inside Grand Teton National Park, where we will boondock (dry camp) for the very first time. Then we head out with our kids to the most popular hike in the park, beginning at Jenny Lake. We took the boat shuttle to begin the hike on this very busy day! It was a hot day and the hike is mostly uphill on the way, so we were a little bit slow moving but the scenery was so unreal! After stopping under the shade of a tree for some snacks, we decided to continue on to Inspiration Point first, before visiting Hidden Falls. After stopping at another viewpoint, we hiked along a ledge in the mountain and finally got to Inspiration Point. It was incredible! We stayed up there for a while, taking pictures and enjoying the view. Then we went back down the mountain.
Hidden Falls was the most beautiful waterfall I had ever seen!! We ended up sitting there for at least 30 minutes, just taking it all in. The sun was hitting the falls directly, which make it a bit more difficult to capture on video, but you really just need to see it in person. We were VERY glad that we saved this for last.
We waited about 25 minutes before getting on the boat back to the parking area. Once back at the campsite, we decided to go check out Jackson Town Square for dinner. We ate at Liberty Burger, which was just ok. Ashley did some shopping and bought the t-shirt she spotted on the way in (in the last episode). Lastly, we had some ice cream at Moo's Gourmet. It was a fantastic day!

The West definitely is beautiful. If you ever go through Utah, not winter, two neat places to visit are: Cove Fort; and, Crystal Hot Springs in Honeyville.
