It's unfortunate that they canceled this game. If they follow the Helldrivers model along with improving the gameplay, this could have been another success for PS. Sony gonna have to hold this L for cancelling this game

it wasnt cancelled, its a concept trailer, it doesnt show anything other than generic freeroam gameplay. Most likely, the character assets are gonna be used for across the spiderverse dlc later, that they are teasing in spiderman 2

Helldivers is enjoyable because the devs are actually caring about the player experience. Sony cares only about player wallet, they wouldn't make this without getting significant contribution from Marvel. Also, these leaks are probably an inside job, because being a rat ass is more profitable than making actual games. Some rat ass on the inside is like, "This gaming thang ain't making a whole lota greens, so let me sell these leaks real quick." Man do these leaks suck, I wouldn't look this up because I hate leaks and even leaks of cancelled projects is much. Also, I understand Insomniac that they don't want to only be known as the "Spiderman" company, they want a little diversity, but sticking with the same concept worked for both Miyazaki, and Yoshi P. So, I don't know how to really feel about that.

I’d prefer a multiplayer with split-screen, one is miles, one is Peter, and there special 2 player quests that only pop up when in split screen, but I doubt that’ll happen

Sighs. Mkay you're about to hear a big take from me GJX. If they made this game, made a couch co-op and online Spider-Man game, it would sell, it would make bank, this game would've probably been better than SSKTJL by a fucken mile, I would seriously sell stuff to get me a PS5 just for it, so I can play a fun super hero game with my friends, if it followed the Helldivers 2 model, and sold something like cosmetics, or a season pass, or just a DLC season pass to add more content in the game, it would be one of Sony's most successful games since Helldivers 2, heck in Spider-Man 2 the story probably would've been so much better if it was co-op, where the second player could play as Black Cat in that one mission, Harry when he has the Symbiote at first, etcetera, a co-op and multiplayer Spider-Man game would've been one of the best online and offline games of all time, especially since Imsomniac would be making it, we don't talk about WB, and their recent disaster they had with Viagra gone wrong along with Todd Howard Cocaine fart gas, this is the biggest wasted opportunity that Sony has thrown away.

Well... Hopefully its because it wasn't working out, and they decided not to put out a game, not to their standards(i haven't seen it). Sorta lile how Bethesda canceled Prey 2. It previewed very well, but according to Pete it wasnt coming together. Back when Bethesda didnt have Microsoft to push out trash that they knew didnt work like Redfall. Although if it would have made Insomniac into a live service studio like what Naughty Dog was worried about, maybe it's a good thing in the end. Although im a single player guy.
