i just watched their tokyo dome live ballad of into the new world and damn did i start bawling, i researched the backstory of why they were crying, Jessica was kicked out of the group just months before they were supposed to perform at tokyo dome with into the new world ballad

They walked the road so that future generations can run. They showed everybody that girl groups can compete on the world stage. So many idols in 3rd and 4th gen are inspired by them. Kpop would not be where it is today without girls generation
Taeyeon is the one singing the high notes, one with full, round and warm voice. The main vocal.
And for clarity in identifying her on stage, Taeyeon is one of the shorter members. Not just a case of 'Dynamite comes in small packages' because she is an entire bundle of vocal TNT all on her own.

For context to those who doesn't know, the last song with the saranghae and nanana-s was VERY emotional for both fans and the members. It was their debut song, and that was the first time they performed it after one member, Jessica, left. They did not part on good terms, no one really know what happened. The members were very tight and close with each other, but they buthead with each othet like sisters do. And i just know that whatever problem there was, it just gotta be huge for a member to leave/be kicked out. So that's why all members were crying during that last song. That, and Divine was also the smae situation. And now, reading the lyrics, it just hits harder
Their ballads and japanese songs are unmatched! Hope to see more SNSD contents.

Their Ballad songs' always has that feeling that drawn you to listen repeatedly. I'm hooked!
The last song, Into the New World, was their debut song... the regular version is full of hope for a new future. It is the unofficial theme song for protest in Korea by students. In this context, the girls have been training with each other for years before debuting. They all had a unified dream; to one day perform at the Tokyo Dome in Japan. When they finally got there, it was incredibly bittersweet. Not long before that concert, a member (Jessica) was kick out of the group. The reason have been debated over for years. However, regardless of what the reason is, every fan listening to this song knew that they sang it with broken hearts. This was a dream shared by 9 members, but was only fulfilled by 8. Standing there, you can see in their eyes that they are both appreciating where they are and their fans, but also missing a beloved sister. The lyrics became even sadder knowing that, but yet still hopeful. "Even though you are not part of the group anymore, you will always be a part of us. We will always love you as we walk into this new world"
The fact that I have never heard a song from this group and have zero connection with them and they were able to make be cry so much is just incredible. And after reading this comment it didn’t help cause I was crying even more.

It's the same as me crying over an idol's death who I never really knew or feeling melenacholic after reading a disbandment headline. You don't really need to know about them to feel things. You don't have to listen to feel things. Sometimes, it just happens. Whether through their music, voices and whatnot... I may have a lot of qualms about the kpop industry, but we all know how these idols have worked so hard to earn a spot in the spotlight. I'm glad their voices were able to reach you by stirring deep in your heart. :)
Since you love EXO, Im sure you will love SNSD too their live performances are like EXO's, spectacular as always. EXO and SNSD are still the most legendary SM group till this day. ❤
Theres no denial that are many girls group nowadays who break many records, achieve higher impact to kpop industry. But Girls Generation is the only girl group who created the standard that become the ultimate guidelines for kpop industry nowadays. They give the meaning to what kpop should be. Kpop nowadays are mostly westernise and no longer felt like kpop other than just still using koreans language in their music.
Ugh that ITNW video never fails to make me cry (the performance where they're wearing bow headbands and some of the members are openly sobbing) 😭 Seb, for context this was their Tokyo Dome performance and was around the time the member Jessica was kicked out from the group. The group and the fandom was going THROUGH it bc of how seemingly sudden it was and bc they had always said their dream was to play this venue together and then they finally were there singing their debut song but without their complete original group so it was bittersweet.

I heard Jessica wa kicked out of the group so they now are OT8 but, i watched tokyo dome into the world ballad version and i see why they got emotional, because of Jessica being kicked out of the group, they wanted to perform as OT9 but instead OT8

I want to tell you about the song "into the new world". why are the members are crying while singing that song
- it was their debut song.
- 9 girls, have the same dream, to perform in the famous tokyo dome.
- in 2014, they make it, but shortly before they got to perform as nine, Jessica left the group, or as some might state as got kicked out by SM
- therefore, they can only perform as eight in Tokyo Dome
- they're missing Jessica. and probably regrets or reminiscence whatever happened between them until they got into the moment where they can't fully fulfill their dream as nine.

she didnt left snsd. in jessicas statement, snsd gave her an ultimatum in early sept, a month after she launched her brand, leading to her getting kicked out. its so unfair how she wasnt even given the chance to perform in her dream stage.
