This is my first BTS Video so don't be too harsh.
I know there's a lot of information missing, but I don't want to overwhelm new people. There are plenty of videos that go in-depth on their characters, inside jokes, memes, etc.

Visual is a rather vague role. One member in a group being the visual, does not mean the others don’t look good.
The visuals are usually the most physically attractive according to the “korean beauty standards”.
I can spot RM from a mile away but everyone else could be in my face and I would be lost

The reason why it's hard to tell between them is because when they change their hair color it rlly changes their overall look, like as if their a different person not only that but the vibe is completely different too. For example They can look badass then change their hair color and give off a soft innocent vibe 👁👄👁 and I'm like....Hollup did y'all recruit somebody else
Even their make change their look. That's why I used to think Jimin is 4 different people 😭.
Nothing changes when they change their hair color you felt that becuase you were a baby army I mean new army. You can understand this after a few months .

When I first got into BTS, the best advice my daughter gave me was this: Don’t memorize them by their hair color; it changes every week!

@@PsychicLauryn Me too. This one is better but there was a great one that helped me figure them out in an hour or two (I was also personally invested lol...I had to know).
You know who i had the hardest time differentiating?...Hobi and Yoongi. Now it's easy but I thought they looked so similar early on.
All the little details including the title of the song at the bottom corner, using the same MV, emphasis on dancing for JiHope, iconic moments for each member, different songs on the live videos, showing their looks in many different photos, and the quiz at the end. I could tell that you work so hard on this, so thank you so much. I would recs this for new ARMY.
P.S.: the only tiny bit of detail you didn't include is a picture of them using their color mics. And although you're using their color for their name, the purple for JK looks a little similar to the pink for Jin. But nevermind that, it's just me being picky.

Throwback to when i started. It was actually from this video. Now I'm a full time army. Guys don't worry. It may be a little confusing at first but after a while i'll promise you that you can recognize them just by their shadows.

You really put a lot of effort! Those are the best clips that show BTS's talent. Rather than telling extra stuff, just give people clips and let them form opinions themselves. Really appreiate it
That was what I was going for! I saw a lot of guides with unnecessary information and cringy outdated jokes, so I wanted to give a basic overview and include my favourite moments of every member so people can get a feel for how they perform :)
@@noshiAEP I think showing them performing with different hair colors and outfits was probably a very helpful touch! When they perform something new...even to this day...if they've changed their hair or something I have to slow down and make sure I've got everyone straight. I know them all easily but in a new video at a distance with new hair colors...I need to take them all in and make sure I've got everyone straight! If I have to do that, and I know them ALL.its gotta be horrible for new Armys
Like Hobi threw me way off when they were lined up early on in Butter...cause he's so rarely blonde...plus I'm sure it was just the angle but he looked shorter than Jimin...so I was saying "what's going on...who is that? lol!" I thought he was Yoongi but I was looking at Yoongi! (Obviously I figured it out but it took me a sec and threw me off!)

As a white person, I felt really offensive and even borderline racist not being able to tell BTS members apart. Thank you so much for this, it was really helpful and I can now really see their differences :)
Nooo, that's completely normal!! Don't feel bad about it! We all struggled in the beginning. I've been listening to Kpop for years now and I still have trouble differentiating members of new groups! If you take some time and enjoy their content you will be able to tell them apart in no time! :]

First of all - I don't think that I'm ARMY, but decided that I wanted to know BTS members. Don't ask me why, IDK :D
RM was so easy, I have known him already... The most problem become Jin and Jungkook, they are so alike. I know, they aren't, but for middle-Europian girl who don't watch K-drama or something like that. Difficult! (But I don't have problem with Thai actors 55555.)

I've heard that a lot of people struggle with Jungkook and Jin and i can see why. But don't worry, with a bit of practice you will be at a point where you're like "How did I confuse them?" ^^

V & JK are still the hardest for me to tell apart 😓 it helps when V has floofy hair or it’s a closeup so I can see JK’s lower lip mole, but in older pics or when they’re styled similarly it’s like a coin toss for me 🤷🏻♀️
I am a 62 year old grandma and could watch these guys all day. The talent surpasses anything I have ever seen.

I can honestly say that all their music is good as they have a diverse range of genre (like vocal emotional to rapping badass songs)
They have many group songs and many solos.
@@savedbytheking4867 You can start by searching “BTS mv with names” so you hear their music and learn their names at the same time. Other than that if you’re looking for more: “Love yourself: tear” and “Love yourself: answer” are my two favorite albums!

I became army a little more than a year ago and like so many others it started from: "I just want to be able to tell them apart" and went down the rabbit hole real fast.. This video was a huge entry door for me and rewatching it now I can't imagine not being able to spot who is who :D Anyway, I wanted to thank you fellow army for helping us newbies, you did a great job with the video

I also keep telling people , once you get to know them you'll very fast be at a point where you're like "How was I not able to tell them apart????" haha!
So far whats helping me:
RM/ Namjoon: different overall
J- Hope: apple cheeks
Suga: smallest eyes
Jimin: smallest posture
Jin: brows are the fullest and closest together
V and Jungkook are the hardest to keep apart for me. Unless i get a chance to stare them in the face for a good few seconds. Lol hopefully with time it will get easier.

I can already tell them apart by their elbow or something but this was a really good guide!! The performances were a really nice addition because it shows off their individual style and voices in a much clearer way. Honestly I just watched a couple videos my daughter recommended to me (War of Hormone and Dope) and what can I say, I was captivated by Jungkook's smile. It was because of him that I wanted to watch more....so I feel like I didn't pick one, he picked me lol. I went on to learn about all of them and truly love them all, but Jk remains my bias.

Got hooked after Butter. I have invested so much time being addicted to them, it is embarassing to mention. I know who is who by immercing myself in each of their solos, fanvids, clips etc. After doing ea h of them (yeah it took time but obsessin is a bitch). Their lives etc also helped alot in letting me understand each members' personality. Now i can pick each of them out from any thing. JIN is my bias, by the way. He is the only one who i had to pull the car over an cried cause i was listening to Epipbany.
Haha, nothing to be embarrassed about, we all went, and still go through that. Once you know BTS well there are countless other groups who you’ll maybe like even more than BTS to repeat that cycle all over again :]

ok so here's where i'm struggling:
Jimin and Jin literally look like the same person
Jungkook and suga both have baby faces that are impossible to tell apart

I already knew who they were, I learned who they were within a day of learning their names just by watching carpool karaoke. They are honestly the most easily to identify compared to other groups which is why I enjoy them so much.
I'm coming up on my 2-year ARMY-VERSARY and just passed my 21st month. This video is very well done. I remember how I couldn't tell Jin, Jimin, or Jungkook apart. I sometimes couldn't tell Tae and Yoongi apart for a little bit (like a month) but once I committed and stayed up til 6am, I could always tell them apart after that... Unless it was blurry or farther away footage. I do wish in SUGA's part he had been shown performing Seesaw in either his iconic dark red sparkly suit, or his iconic crocheted yellow and red sweater over the black tank top. Just to show that he can also sing/dance, and not just rap. But pls don't take it as a complaint. I love the video you've created and I'm sure you're helping a lot of people learn their faces with their names and sounds.

When I first heard BTS I definitely wanted to know who was who and what each 1 was in the group. I learned there were 3 rappers RM, Suga and JHOPE. The vocalist were the remaining 4 being Jin, V, Jimin and JK. Who was the oldest and who was the youngest. I've learned so much about them. The voices are all very unique you can pretty much tell who's who when they sing. I did have trouble with JK and Jin. But after awhile I could tell. They are very close but for me Jin's range was different from JK. And his singing hit me different. Don't get me wrong they are all very talented and can sing but Jin's voice is magical.
Rm is the leader of the BTS group and also he helps them most of the time and also Rm helps them to learn some of the English words love you my BTS Members [ JIN,SUGA,RM,JHOPE,JIMIN,V,JUNGKOOK]
I can tell them apart now visually and by their voices. I was very excited when I got to this point, but of course, I am curious to see what details you provided to help new ARMYS and others learn who they each are. Thank you fir helping everyone out! 💜

@@noshiAEP Absolutely worth the time for anyone before they judge them as when people get to know them ( as much as you can know a celebrity) they see the world wide support and and genuine love they have for people as well as their work with UNICEF as well as seeing how different they are from each individual and last, but certainly not least, the fortitude they have had to hold onto tightly as their story is one of pain, missing family and friends, and a huge degree to the hate spewed at them from other musicians, etc.

Guys I'm proud of myself I managed to learn their actual names, artist names and the differences in 5 days but I guess I did watch ALOT of interviews and just videos of bts.

Yea, I put quite some thought into what songs, music videos, or live clips to use. Every clip in this video has its purpose haha!
Personally I never really liked that most guides just spoon-feed the viewer endless information about the boys. The most fun part about being a Baby ARMY is getting to know the seven members, their characters, habits, relationships to each other, and much more through the neverending content that's waiting for them. Once you can tell them apart (which is the purpose of this video) you are ready to venture down the rabbit hole and paint your own picture. Experiencing it yourself is way more fun than reading it in a guide video :]

I only got into BTS about a month ago and watched this video. Still couldn’t really distinguish them and didn’t know them even by their stage names.
A month later, after many MVs and MANY ARMY compilations, I can easily recognize each member and even know them by their real names.
I can’t deny it any longer - I’m officially an ARMY. 😅💜

omg it is actually so sweet of you to do this because some people will get offended simply because new fans or armies just cant tell them apart. and just say blabla youre racist etc, but i actually found this article by the new york times. That racially loaded phrase “they all look alike to me,” turns out to be largely scientifically accurate, according to Roy S. Malpass, a professor emeritus of psychology at the University of Texas at El Paso who has studied the subject since the 1960s. “It has a lot of validity,” he said. so it is soooo cute that youre understanding and considerate, because on top of that, they change their overall aspects every single time omgg so it can be very confusing at first!
Wow, thank you so much for your comment! "They all look alike" is in my opinion a very valid statement considering even I still confuse members when I find new groups. But that's exactly the reason why I made this video! So if it gets some people over the first hurdle and allows them to enjoy BTS's content even more then that's all I'm hoping to achieve :]
Omg thank you for this! I’m a very recent fan and just started watching them. Looking at the comments and how they could easily tell them apart made me feel like I was being racist or something for not being able to. I’m starting to get the hang of it, but I still struggle so I’m binge watching videos like these, which btw, is very helpful! I hope I can tell them apart as quickly as army does! 😄

i’m a PTD army and this is the first video i watched when i wanted to know who they were. it really helped a lot. fell into the rabbit hole and 4 months after knowing them, flew out and watched my first BTS concert at the Sofi Stadium.

hi, i watched this video more than a month ago, when i just started to stan bts. it was the best decision i've made. i remember watching their videos for hours and smiling until i couldn't feel my cheeks and when i look back at that week when i started learning who they are, i think it was the best week of my life lol. this fandom and bts world is amazing. they are truly saving my life.
