I spent one week in Taizé at 17, 18 and 23 years old (last week) and my first two experiences were so amazing, but coming back after the pandemic, graduating and just a lot happening felt like finally coming home. Being there does something to your whole being. I enjoyed my time there 6 years ago, but experiencing it again as a much more grown up, almost adult, person is a new experience. Taizé is my favourite place on earth. One of the 60+ year olds from my group said she keeps coming back because if there is a place on earth where the Holy Spirit is most present, it’s Taizé. Like I said, I am 23 now, I will go back for a week next year and hopefully get to stay there a few months at 25, when I’m done studying. I don’t think there’s a more peaceful place in the world. Thank you for your beautiful video, it felt like coming home once again.
I remember watching this video nervously because I was only a few weeks away from my trip to Taizé. I remember not wanting to watch the whole video because I wanted it to be a surprise when I got there. It's now 6 months since I went to Taizé and what an adventure it was, everything seemed magical. I miss Taizé terribly and hope to return in 2024.

This is a lovely film, Simon. Thank you for it. We met many years ago in Olinda when all our children were still small. In fact, my children are in the background on your previous film, playing by the steam at The Source, when there was still water running in it!

Price of stay depends on your age and the country you come from, details on the Taize website. Re volunteering again this is dependent on your age, and not something I've done at Taize, so can't comment on it
Thank you for the informative video. I'm going to Taizé soon and I have a question: Is there a possibility to charge your mobile phone? This seems pretty essential to me, but because of the way of living there I'm not sure.
My advice is try and spend the week without your phone - you'll really feel the benefits of a week of digital detox. If you really do need your phone with you, then take a battery pack/charger with you. Some people charge phones in the church, but there are only a few plug sockets dotted around the building, and it's not encouraged to charge your phones there - although people do. It's possible Taize do have a location where people can get their phones charged, but if they do, it's not something I've every used.
