It’s the animalistic absolute alpha move of the simple hand on the shoulder that sells it, even though it’s not something any of us are even used to. He’s THAT in charge, that it appeals to the most base of instincts.
@@redmoonbloodmoon3161 I love verboseness AND psychology, but I also feel your rambling comment would lead you to getting your neck snapped by Bane. He is only interested in intelligence that gets directly to the point.
As much as i love Christian Bale as batman it's Tom Hardy and Anne Hathaway as bane and Catwoman who steal the show, This is one of the best trilogies of all time and transcends the superhero stereotypes that have become normal, these are good movies no matter the genre. Looking forward to seeing what you react to next.
I love Joker but for me Hardy as Bane is my favorite supervillain. His voice use is just so unnatural that it's scary. And when he suddenly growls it's even scarier.
The knee injury was definitely from the fall at the end of Dark Knight. He's noticeably favoring that leg as he runs to the Batpod. He never bothered to rehab it.
This Bane is so powerful! That scene where he lays his hand on the shoulder of the poor guy and asks "Do you feel in charge?" daaaaamn, a single gesture that held sooo much power!
If you watch the movie with subtitles, the scene where the cop shoots Batman makes more sense. He's billed as "rookie cop" whereas the other cop is labelled as "veteran" and I think it's getting the point across of how long Batman went into hiding. This rookie isn't as familiar with Batman and thinks he stands a chance shooting at him, whereas the veteran is far more aware of who Batman is, hence why he says "oh boy you're in for a show tonight son"
My favorite part of this movie is when Bane sets his hand on the guys shoulder and asks "Do you feel in charge?" Just so ominous without having to threaten or anything.
and the line right before it too: speak of the devil, and he shall appear (oh, Bane was physically threatening... that hand... that close to the neck, has crushed/snapped many necks, killing many people dead on the spot, lol)
You may missed something,... In face masked party, everyone was wearing mask beside Bruce Wayne.... Actually Bruce Wayne billionaire play boy is his actual mask. Batman is his real personality (Highly functioning sociopath 😉)
They did a similar thing in Batman Returns, but I like that in this one they actually put in the lines "Who are you pretending to be?" "Bruce Wayne, Excentric Millionaire" where he straight up says that's his disguise.
I love this film. I remember seeing it almost 10 years ago and loving it. It’s really cool to see people watch this for the first time after about a decade after the trilogy ended.
Okay but now domi has to react to the full Joseph Gordon-Levitt ouevre. He’s an absolutely fantastic actor, and this movie, good as it is, doesn’t give him nearly enough to do. Brick, Looper, 50/50 and 500 Days of Summer are all really good films.
Well I’m glad _someone_ likes Anne Hathaway! Jesus, that lady gets a lot of stick. I thought she was fantastic having been given the almost impossible job of bringing Catwoman to life in a world too realistic to even accommodate the word “Catwoman.”
@@TheSofkujepanen The whole premise of _Batman Begins_ is to devote half the film’s runtime to methodically chipping away at that very absurdity. I suppose Nolan would want twice as long with a Catwoman origin.
Thor this is my favorite installment I really loved the First one and I liked elements of second one lol. But LOVE Catwoman so I'm so happy to see the character in this movie
Fun note the cop that said “put that thing away before you hurt yourself” is actually a cousin of the girl who lives next door to me XD we went to high school together.
dent's "power of money" vs bane's "power of force/violence" reminds me of in Mortal Kombat 1 (the original movie), of Sheng Tsung and Goro talking about how rich criminal Kano has power in his world of the earth, vs their type of power in their world, the out-world... lol
The hype was real for this one for me. The local theaters were doing a marathon with the previous two films, leading into the premiere of TDKR, think it started at 6pm, ended after 2am, managed to convince a few coworkers to go. After seeing it, I don't think it quite matched the hype I'd set for it. The sewer fight is interesting as there's no music during it.
Yeah, I was pumped when this movie came out, although I do know it can be fairly easy to overhype oneself (or others). But heck, that's awesome you got to watch all three in a row like that! I think Dark Knight Rises works on its own, but it's considerably stronger viewed as the conclusion of a journey. As far as the sewer fight, thanks for pointing that out! It's crazy the difference sound design/ music can make in the emotional impact of a scene, and I think that Nolan's choice here really hammered home the grounded brutality and complete lack of grandeur in Batman's greatest loss
I honestly don't care if it matched the hype. Yeah I was jacked up for it too when it came out. But I loved it. It's supremely underrated imo. It's a great movie and a perfect ending to the trilogy imo
I just realized "your friendly neighborhood God of Thunder" sounds like a contradiction in terms lol. I mean Spiderman sure, he's Earth bound most of the time, not so much for Thor
*kicks a injured man's cane* "SHE SO COOL!" *steals a necklace of a dead woman who was murdered in front of her child* "See- no, she deserves that necklace being that cool!" ...?????
@@nickreacts6394 Sorry my bad Between Batman Begins and The Dark Knight only one year had past and 8 years between The Dark Knight and Rises, remember the scene in the Dark Knight where the Joker said "lets wind back the clocks a year, no one would touch us" where he met all the mob bosses does that help in anyway?

An unpopular opinion, I know, but this movie ruined the Nolan trilogy for me. While watching it, at the end when Batman is getting ready to fly the bomb away from the city, I had a proud nerd-dad moment, when my daughter, 18 at the time, turned to me and said, "Some days you can't get rid of a bomb!" If you don't get the reference, that was fucking hilarious!
What cat woman did to Bruce at their first encounter wasnt something to be seen as cool and awesome at all. It's a despicable behaviour . It's like saying joker massacaring people as cool and awesome and I love him for the way he did it . There is a difference between appreciating the acting skills , the writing , execution , design etc compared to the characters actions , behaviours and their morality . Joker is a great creation of art work , but that doesn't mean his actions and intentions in the movie are great , it's still despicable . But people doesn't seem to make the distinction
This what cat woman is supposed to be. Not the crappy version they gave us in the latest batman movie. Who says racist things and does even look like the character from the comics
This movie is the weakest of the trilogy. Not everyone liked how Bane and Ra’s daughter was done. In the Batman animated series Bane is Mexican and Ra’s daughter falls in love with Batman. In the comics they have a baby named Damien who becomes one of Batman’s Robins. Although he isn’t a very likable Robin. Damien has too much of his Grandfather in him. In the animated movies he doesn’t become likable until he joins Nightwing’s hero team, Titans. Damien falls in love with the half Demon half human daughter of Trigon, Raven. Justice League vs Titans introduces the characters . Nightwing, Starfire who s a Tamerian that is in love with Greyson, Beast Boy who is a Animal Shape Shifter that was a former DC team Doom Patrol member, and Cyborg. There is a Bruce Timm Teen Titans animated series that exists in its own Universe separate from the DCAU.

The breaking of Batman's back is a classic image from the comics and I love that they bought it to the film.
The politician kidnapped by Catwoman in this movie plays Bruce wayne's father in the Joker movie.
Honestly, I hate him in both films (great acting though!)
