    there's so much little tid bits of knowledge here if you're trying to get perfect shape, thickness while using forms. this is a jewel. I wish more nail techs here in the states would take the time to perfect shaping before designs. love it as always

      I take a lot of time which I do tell my clients about. 1st time 3 hours because of nail assessment, discussions expectation & paperwork. But 95% have stayed with me or come back after going somewhere else for a few months!

      @@NanaNan1 I’m just learning how important all the pre talk is, it’s taking me a little longer when ppl show up with a different plan then what we discussed. It really throws me off for some reason. I can see that I’m gonna give a much better service when I know what to expect or they allow me to free style.

    Thank you for this video and thank you for explaining that it is best to always apply a thin layer of gel to the nail. I’m new to hard gel and I think I was applying too much gel to the nail for that reason I had to file the nail more to shape it and thin it more.

    I know this is an older video but I keep coming back to the russian almond, I haven't gotten it down yet. But what I really wanted was to leave an *HONEST* product review of the fiber gel. Let me tell you, it is the *BEST* gel product I have *EVER* used. When I ordered it I was nervous it would take a long time to get here because I live in the states and the mail situation is very bad right now and the package showed it was coming from Scottland. I ordered the cover pink and cover rose. Imagine my surprise when my package got here in less than 2 weeks! On standard shipping! I was so excited for my product that I sculpted my first set with the product. I was not disappointed. The colors are both beautiful and you can use them together for ombre effect. My nails are weak and I have issues with chipping with other products but not this fiber gel. The price is beyond reasonable and because of its strength I can sculpt long, slender nails with less product. Which means this is a product that will last a while. I can't even begin to say how much I *LOVE* this product and it is now the *ONLY* sculpting gel I will buy. If you haven't tried it yet, I highly recommend you do!

    I come back and watch this tutorial again, and again. The shape and French finish is so timeless, and classic. I've watched dozens of French manicure videos...none compare to your meticulous design, and your free hand French tip.
    So good, Dorota!
    Continued success in your new salon! I'm sure its been a trying time...I hope it's smooth sailing from here on out for you and your family.

    Do you happen to have a video tutorial on how your do the extended nails on a weak nails, since you wouldn’t be able to pinch them? (Assuming they have a more flat nail.) Would you make the nail thicker to have more strength?

    • @ToshaRaeNailed
      @ToshaRaeNailed 7 месяцев назад

      I don’t think I made a video on that but I will this week. Yes, I make mine a little thicker than a credit card. I’ve tried pinching it on my hand a little and I found the extentions uncomfortable enough that I removed them the next day. You can create it a little thicker on top and down the center of the nail and make it appear as if you have more of a curve.

    Dorota - Wow, what a beautiful nail. That is the best Russian Almond I have ever seen, and I do not give complements lightly, or false complements. The thing I love the most about it is the length, most videos of Stiletto, Coffin, or Ballerina etc. have this ridiculous length, nothing that a real person in a real world can function in. This was the first, I could see myself wearing that nail, I want to see myself wearing that nail. I am Canadian and we do the apex in the middle, an arch that all 4 sides must perfectly arch up and down to, I am trying to learn the European Apex, most tech do it so fast you cannot see it, and do not show it from all sides. I like that you took the time and did it slow. I could actually see what was going on - koodo's to the Camera Man - Great Job of getting those money shots....;)
    Any chance you could do this again but in Acrylic?? That is my first love, I know everyone is different, but I would really like to see you build it out of acrylic as I am sure it's not a painting nail polish technique as you used here. As well as, the apex creation must be different, and I can imagine the pinch you could get on that.
    One last thing - that is the best way I have ever seen anyone do a french, why was I not taught that way, so much easier than drawing a smile evenly across the nail, then coming back with clean brush trying to straighten and clean up. It never goes on a first attempt. I am totally going to try your way.
    Once again beautiful job, you really did hit this one out of the park, you can drop the mic and take a bow. You have truly set the bar.
    Thank you for sharing your talent and education with us, a gift I truly appreciate. ;)

      Thank you so much 💓. Yes it is definitely the easiest and quick way of doing a French it takes few times to got hang of it but ones you got it it is so easy. And extra bonus that when clients come back for rebalance it is 2 moves of file to file it off 😁

    Thankyou for an amazing step by step tutorial. I love watching all your videos. How would you refill/infill that shape each time the client comes back whilst still maintaining that perfect shape? Could you show us a tutorial for that?

    • @dorotapalicka
      @dorotapalicka  2 года назад

      To maintain the shape we could do 1 infill 2 max. Then new set in as natural nails grow down and they would miss shape the look. I general up to 2 infills will keep the shape nice then it is hard to maintain the perfect look.
