Nice shooting. I totally agree with you on baiting or not baiting. It's not legal here, but where it's legal do what floats your boat. Here we can't do food plots either, but sitting on the edge of an ag field is fine. A friend of mine is a member of the Crow Tribe, and he assures me that you can eat antlers if they are still in early velvet. I can't legally hunt that early in the year, so I don't worry about racks. My trophies go in the freezer, not on the wall.
To bait or not to bait. I’m from Texas and we feed. We consider partly as supplemental food. To me it’s not an unfair advantage. How do we catch fish. With bait or lure which resembles bait. We have to let each state set their own laws but I think it should be legal everywhere. And if people don’t agree with it then don’t use bait. If we didn’t bait or feed we would be hunting food sources as part of our strategies anyway. The same with stalking versus stand hunting. We hunt the way we find success and enjoy. I don’t argue with another person’s way of hunting as long as we can agree it’s ethical and good for hunters and the outdoors. 90 percent of us are for that and we don’t tolerate poaching and things of that nature. Great shot on the doe by the way. Great video. 👍
Completely agree with you sir.. I also think it’s a personal choice and one should not be condemned for it.. I am a firm believer in “you do you, and leave the worrying about me… to me”
Always have a compass… but some folks don’t. And mine is in the bottom of my pack, as to where my phone is in the saddle eye right at my finger tips. I screen shot it to make sure I don’t forget the reading.. just easier in all the get down, pack up, go find her time. I also use the tracking apps to do grid searches if need be.
