I specifically remember being in a nightclub and looking up at small tv. Green and Black Muay Thai armbands... Buakaw fighting!!! Zambidis vs Buakaw, I think. Couldn't see much it was small tv and got there late but damn... good memories.
Long time k-1 fan, it's like discovering those fights again.. this concept of video is really good, thx guys for existing for real !!! Thx for sharing your experiences ! I'm still a fan because it amaze me you can be on top level in that extreme sport, and still being humble, nice, open mind and respecting each others, it's a model for sport and life.
I have seen this fight for more than 30 times and it still impresses me. Badr was more active with his hands. He through big combinations of power shots but was unable to block the low kicks. As Remy said, the power shots never really landed and eventually fatigued Badr at the beginning of the third round. Remy was smarter here. He lost the first round but won the second and third by doing more damage. Remy had a better defense. He did not concentrate on punches so much and did not through a lot of power shots. The punches seemed just a diversion for the low kicks which were really hard. Badr`s leg was seriously injured by the end of the third round. My guess is that if the judges would have decided for a fourth round, Badr wasn`t going to make it. Remy outsmarted Badr in this one while successfully using his low kicks. His legendary jumping knee was efficiently neutralized by Badr, though.
Hello Remy! I 'm so grateful for videos like this! Big fun of yours and the rest of the great athletes back then. In the middle '00 I even started kick boxing (I used to play basketball) just to discover what a fighting sport means! Although I practice for only one year I had the chance to appreciate this wonderful sport (although I didn 't had the guts to fight full contact 😁) I think it would be great if you make some reacting videos along with your opponent!! Thanks again, greetings from Greece!
Peter Aerts beating up semy Shiilt but took a lot of punches and bad knees. maybe one hour later he was fighting Alistaire Overeem juiced up to his ears. He lost
Remy Bonjasky: best kickbokser with the best technique! Melvin Manhoef who was smaller could compete with all of them but everyone had a tough time against Sem Schilt... they should have learnt from Melvin :)
Bonjasky , the fighter who invest in deffense also ! For unknowing its not spectaculair, but it is smart to invest in deffense and has a beauty to it !
I was really hoping you would go a little deeper. I want to know what you are thinking at crucial moments in the match. What did you focus on during your preparation, how much of your gameplan could you execute, at what moment were you able to analyze his rhythm, were you hurt at any point, what were your trainers yelling at you and how much of that could you exectute, etc etc. The stuff you are saying now is basically what any commentator would be able to narrate, but I want to know what's going on in your head :)
If this is official Remy channel please make more reaction to your past fights or present fighters today too. And also react to boxing too and MMA and even the celebrity boxing matches too I know it's not super high level but I'd still like to hear your thoughts on those type of fights too. I think everyone would like to hear your opinions on many different fights since you have such high level knowledge from your kickboxing career.
It was good fight . From both fighters. But i think Badr make More points then remy . We can accept a draw .but remy win this fight = shame on you match referees
Remy terechte winnaar.
As a Moroccan I like the way you react to this fight but can you please explain to me what exactly happened between you on the other fight when badr went mental and start kicking u after the referee stopped the fight !! Thank you 🙏🏼
he was salty that Remy beat him in the first fight and then was so scared he'd lose again that he decided to lose by illegally kicking him on the ground
no way..Remy won this one fair and square but it was close ...a fourth round maybe would have been better but Badr's kicking leg was hit severely by Remy who was the smartest fighter this time!!
Thats what I hate about kickboxing. The scoring is off. He only keeps he's hands high and gives like 1 or two low kicks. Badr owned him, he is way quicker and hits harder. This is no fighting what Remy does
I'm gonna be honest with you bro in round 1 and 2 badr was more active then you he land alot of significant strike to the body mixed it up with kicks.. round 3 was close and i give it to you. "Robbery clearly "
i remember watching eurosport and i was everytime so hyped when the k1 tournament started. What a great time

Best time for stand up kickboxing/thai... Got to love the Yakuza and how they ran it, stacked fighters.
absolutely can relate! btw where is eurosports, where is my cable tv now?!
Make More of this Remy! Big Fan of you and Badr. This Comes from a moroccan Fan 🇲🇦

I am a Badr and a Badr never don't give up! 4 or 5 Rounds is possible to practice 😉 I like your comment
Remy was too defensive kept walking bac
Badr won😂
You should make more videos like this. You are an expert in fighting, and i would love to hear you talk about exactly what happened in fights.

Badr sloeg nagenoeg iedereen neer toen.
Dus zegt genoeg over Rémy.
