No because I keep a lot of employees. My goal is to have a passive business though, not for it to be my main source of income. This is enough for two people to live comfortably

Can you please tell us what happens when products start to expire what's the process. Is it covered by insurance iam wondering if you lose the money you invested in the products ?????
Within a week of expiry , discount food to marginal cost. This is the cost of ordering, check the dates that it arrived, and then add shipping and profit margin. Mark as “xx% off” and see how much sells. Nothing sells? Now this becomes part of “CODB” or cost of doing business. It (and spoilage), is part of the operating cost. Now, what sells in 90 days? 60 days? 30 days? This give you idea what your buyers are wanting to buy. Specialty foods in Montreal? 50-60 % is gross margin(average). If you can’t get your supplies from vendor at 35-40% off the price what is available at Provigo or Metro (major grocery stores) then ask why? Of your vendor.
One question, you said that you don't need to come to the store anymore, how do you trust your workers? I meant some workers at some grocery stores use to steal some goods and take home. I'm very interested in your commercial Kitchen 😊😊
