Nicely review Zane. I liked how comprehensive it is with a very good examples of where this scope shines and where it is not a great fit. Many people don't understand that each telescope has its strengths and where it is not really a good fit. Clearly, you do understand and you explain it very well.

Since the diagonal on this scope can be replaced by a rear eyepiece extender tube, it is possible to hook up astro cameras like SVBONY or ZWO eyepiece cams. What is the quality of lunar images at prime focus? And of planets with projection eyepieces? I've yet to find a review that goes beyond just the phone camera adapter method. Thanks!
Excellent video! I'm like 5 min from buying this for the eclipse as i cant travel with my 130mm reflector. Do you have any recommendations on solar filters that would work with this?
Zane do you think that little mount could manage a slightly larger 90mm mak? like the Orion Starmax?
No, it would probably bend or flex
Do you think it's a good scope for a beginner?
Yes, but a larger tabletop Dob is better if you want to do any deep sky viewing
