Interesting video, thanks. I have one of these and I wouldn't recommend it for SW listening at all. It's a rather mediocre SW receiver IMO. Outperformed even by my cheap Xhdata D-219. On the other hand it's OK for FM, has a good sound, takes D cells so it will run forever on these. Not much to listen to on MW here in France. It looks good and the large display is nice.
@@christianwootton100 Thanks. MW has been dead here for many years, and LW died down too. At least we still have FM when some of our neighbors are killing it in favor of DAB+
Poor lighting, ,,,radio doesn't show too well in the video. All these Chinese radios are overly small. Instead of making a nice large unit like the Grundigs/Siemens/Sony's radios of the 70s and 80s and 90s they keep making these tiny cluttered units. They would do much better if they had a sizeable radio alongside these smaller units. Btw., this one isn't that bad, but imagine it being 30-50 percent larger!
OMG. Can you count the number of times I said AH?
No worries, Tom! Love watching your videos!
Looks non intimidating 👍
Thank you for your show very easy to follow
Thank you for sharing, Tom! looks like a neat radio.
Maybe try utilizing a Tecsun or Terk loop antenna for the MW port using a 3/8" (or 3.5mm) cable?
Good idea. I need to find a cable for it.
@hamrad88 This hack works great with the Qodosen btw. 😊
This is a great radio, do you know of a model that is completely analog?
Not really in a new radio. Even analog looking new radios are digital based. I am sure there are some out there but I have not found one lately.

Thank you for your comments and have a great day.
Sorry about the MW experience in France. 😥

@@F4LDT-Alain Well there's no DAB or LW where I live, so we all suffer in our own ways.
Looks like a knock-off of the TR629.
