This was Bryson’s win. I don’t give a crap about about rory.. BD had to hit that incredible bunker shot and to make that putt to secure the win and he did. It is his win not Rory’s loss. Deal with it 🤷♂️
I think the two personal truths are Rory lost it and Bryson won it - he still had to make that great bunker shot and make a 3-4 footer (which on those greens, tricked many - not just Rory). In the end, the definitive winner was the course - it was a difficult test that imposed incredible pressure on the players. Absolutely brilliant weekend!
Rory choked on pressure puttd, Bryson hit a legendary up and down, Rory forgot his sportsmanship and just left, Bryson went around to let fans touch the cup and making dedications to Payne Stewart. I know my preferred winner.
Rory wanted nothing to do with Bryson, found it strange there were kept apart. McIlroy has to much sway in golf considering he hasn’t won anyone worth noting in a long time
Plenty of people have problems and still go to work Pete which is essentially what Rory has done this week. Life is life we make our choices , get on with it
Your defence of McIlroy's shameful behaviour when he lost is simply too much, my friends. The criticism has nothing to do with the fact that it happened to him; it would have been the same criticism for anyone who ran off like that. Why you’re trying to give him a free pass by claiming "the criticism wouldn't have been the same for other players" is just bizarre. Bringing up Bryson almost doing the same when it was just a shout from some random guy in his crowd is comparing apples to oranges. Bryson handled it all by the book: interviews before, during, and after, and then some. That makes McIlroy's actions even more embarrassing. You really need to defend your guy no matter what, right?! You're correct that it was wrong, but you're completely off base when you say you understand why and then try to defend it with the reasons you mentioned earlier. Let's call it as it is. That was wrong. He behaved like a child. If you understand why a player who's been out there for 15 years still behaves like a child, that’s on you. To me, that's so weak-minded I don't even know what to say. You’re better than that. I know you love him, but get real. Call it as it is. Mentally speaking, he’s a child when it comes to winning in golf, not a player who deserves double-digit major titles.
Hate on Bryson all you want, but when he lost to Xander he stayed and congratulated him in the post interview. Rory just bolts, poor sportsmanship at best. Bryson is the people's champion. As far as Rorys to win, wrong it was Brysons to win the final score proves that.
The thing with Bryson is hes moved into the YT world because his LIV schedule isn't that busy, he's actually played an absolute blinder with that move. With Rory, and you touched on it, even though Bryson was making errors, he was placing his ball perfectly to scrabble, that bunker which then left him with an up hill path to the pin, and then an uphill putt was what made all the difference. Rory with his chip onto the 18th green left him with that tricky downhiller, which isn't a good leave. This also applies to those two par 3 where he ended up in the bunker and over shot the green, just really not smart plays at all, just find the middle, he'd been sinking some great putts all day, just give yourself the chance.
@@FelixpotatoExactly. Tour guys are considered employees of the tour, while LIV guys are considered self employed independent contractors, from LIV’s point of view. It's CLEARLY Bryson win it. Like guyfrom rick podcast said it, if bryson just 2 putt par on 18 maybe rory lost it,BUT bryson par 18th from BUNKER!!! he fight for it
Ohhhh wow ... I tend to listen to the whole Podcast vid normaly ... but when you all again started around the Rory thing ... please make sure to chapter everything sooner so I can skip that. 🤨
This is from a pro-LIV, pro-Bryson, and very much anti-PGA guy: Rory didn't lose it, Bryson just won it. Rory was 3 down on a course that played very difficult and to expect him to shoot 66 on Sunday is plenty. In the end, he shot 1 under and had a good chase against the leader who shot 1 over. Bryson was 3 up with the start of the last round and tried his best to throw it away with only 5 fairways hit...but in the end, made an unbelievable shot out of the bunker on 18 to make par, shooting 1 over on the day but enough to win it. PS: People make the remark Rory was 2 up with 5 to play...forgetting that Bryson played 13 just after Rory and also made a birdie, so 1 down with 5 to play...sounds a bit different when you say it like that hey...? Think RUclips made Bryson realize it's okay to be him and people accept him for who he is. He enjoys golf, doesn't take himself too serious all the time and he is having fun playing the game he loves, and relaxed enough to interact with the spectators...it's easier to do things (like golf) when you're having fun and relaxed. Compare that to almost all pro golfers. They look like us normal people having to go to work every day to put in the hours of work just to pay the bills and to survive! It's like they forgot they are playing a game they are good at and are supposed to love for a living while earning potentially damn good money! Find some footage of Rory playing golf 10/12 years ago and you'll see how he enjoyed playing golf, smiling and having fun...and compare it to what he looks like now playing golf...just saying
If the US Open wasn’t featuring Bryson in the lead with a compelling final round, I wouldn’t have watched. The number of ads on Peacock is absolutely ridiculous. At least with the Masters, you could watch on the app and switch to featured groups or certain hole sections when ads would come on the main telecast. It’s unbearable how golf is televised here in the US. It’s one of the reasons why I’m enjoying LIV golf much more. Say what you want about LIV, but I enjoy watching some of the best golfers play golf uninterrupted for four hours and done.
Rory had bad luck, too. Like Bryson spent the first 9 always in the rough but no bad lies. He hits driver on 18, one of the first roughs from the tee that day, and he's behind a big lump of grass, meaning he can't get to the green. Rory hit a fantastic drive par 5, about a foot short from an eagle putt, instead it rolls off the green and even misses the bunker and moves down to a shite lie. Also, the last putt was difficult. People are acting like they roll it in. People forget he started 3 back on that course. Personally, I FULLY believe the 5th is coming. Brysons, right! He's the most resilient golfer ever. It'll be great to watch all the people saying, "He'll never win again," all of a sudden saying "Oh i knew he'd win again."
I'm not sure if Rory's chip on the Par 5 was restricted by the lie or if he was being greedy. Possibly a tad unlucky on the Par 3, did he hit it further with adrenelin? maybe he should have played for that. The first short missed putt deffo looked like it was a good putt, but seemed to dive right.. I think he was unlucky, Bryson was poxy lucky, but for Rory's putts we'd be talking about a Bryson choke. I don't know how he comes back from that though...
I personally don’t care whether he wins again or not. What I do care about is how entertaining it has been to watch his mental weakness at the 2022 open, 2023 us open and 2024 us open cost him on the back 9. And before you ask me how I would do, I’d go horribly. But Cam, Wyndham and now Bryson can step up when Rory steps down.
@pudwellion, yeah, true, but I reckon he will. Even the putt on 18, it wasn't easy under that pressure. It's only a matter of time. My only concern is why hit driver when you've hit the fairway with 3 wood all week. Does Harry Diamond need to be stronger there and talk him out of it.
Guys, PLEASE sort out the audio levels on the Podcast, they are significantly lower than mainstream professionally produced programs, and I mean the likes of the BBC, MSNBC etc. If I'm in the car I have to raise the volume from 40 to 60, if I'm at work the headphones have to be cranked to maximum and even then I miss some of the things being said, then a notification pops up and nearly kills me, it's fine if you are sat in a quiet room but for many podcasts are things listened to while on the go. Try it for yourself, compare the levels. The content is fantastic, just the quietest podcast I've ever listened to.
@@SwePalm I think it's more that LIV allows him to play a season without feeling like it's an absolute grind. He can play his 10 or so LIV events, 4 majors and find plenty of time to film RUclips videos without feeling like he is being driven into the ground physically and mentally. I think he has also found the enjoyment of the game that got him into it to begin with. A lot of pros tend to lose that after years of grinding on tour.
I think you are exactly right, Bryson was misunderstood. I’ve always enjoyed his game, his approach to golf and his attitude towards other players and fans. He has been on my radar since college. I’m so happy he is getting the respect he has always earned.
The 5th for Rory is the one he’d like a do-over. Par 5…easiest hole on the course..lying 2 on the side of the green. He needed to hit it 2-3 yards farther and he’d be putting or eagle. Probably a sure birdie. He makes a 6 . That did it for me.
28:48 RUclips is so great for the game of golf and to y’all’s point, it’s really humanizing the players. I think you’re going to see more pros engage in the RUclips space. We’ve already seen Rham participate in more videos. Latest with Grant. Sergio and Phil both started their own channels. If you had to choose a pro who would be great in the RUclips space who might y’all pick? I’d go with Tommy Fleetwood. Or maybe Tyrell Hatton cause he’d be hilarious.
No wonder the new guy isn’t on the pod much. Literally right after everyone talks about how Rory lost it at the end, he asks if Rory ever had the lead. Did he even watch the match?
Unconvinced Rory has the right personality type to win another Major in this age of golf, he takes himself way to seriously and having watched him play at Wentworth a few times he has a fantastic game but his focus is almost too extreme. Unless he works on being a little bit less serious, which will take pressure off and allow his golf to shine through, he is never going to win another Major. Also leaving the course without at least congratulating Bryson is really rather childish!
This whole Rory thing is getting silly, he lost a tournament. In 10 yrs since his last major I cant think of many, if any, he has had in his hands in that time in truth. This performance actually makes me think he’s more certain to get there again, it was a tough course, tough set up. He will prob win the Open (think his 1st major win was right after Augusta) - you need to calm down a bit. He will be fine.
11 biggest chokes in US Open history - Rory 2024 Sam Snead 1939 Arnold Palmer 1966 Sam Snead 1947 T C Chen 1985 Retief Goosen 2005 Colin Montgomerie 2006 Dustin Johnson 2010 and 2015 Tom Kite 1989 Phil 2006 Rory is in good company.
Bryson won it. PERIOD. Compare it to a 15 round heavyweight fight. Bryson had the most points going into the final rounds, all he had to do was avoid being knocked out- and Rory couldn’t do it. With that said, even if Rory hadn’t missed that putt on 18 it would have forced a 2 hole playoff, and who knows how that would have played out.
Comparing US television coverage of the US Open vs. Sky Sports, Peacock actually offered the Sky broadcast of the US Open. I watched that exclusively and it was far and away better than NBC’s coverage.
I understand why Rory left Pinehurst so quickly. After leading, then making those soft misses to throw the Championship away would have been an awful feeling. Also knowing that many of the questions would have been about the on/off divorce would have made the interview difficult, but he should have shaken Bryson hand and congratulated him on the win then disappeared.
Totally agree. Of course it was bad sportsmanship, but if anyone can be forgiven for this, it's Rory given all the circumstances. He's normally as accessible to the media as anyone so people shouldn't make a big deal out of this.
It was supposed to. It was all grass everywhere. The updated course is really difficult (and some may scream the greens are unfair), but honestly do we really just want to see pro's hacking it out of 6 inch rough all the time. That is why Chambers Bay was so great, and also why Pinehurst #2 was equally great. Hitting out of thick rough isn't interesting at all, but this was...
Bryson “won” the tournament on Saturday, “moving day”, by smashing his way to the top of the leaderboard. Rory’s Sunday round was a valiant attempt to overtake him. In the end, he didn’t have enough gas.
Bryson lost by 1 shot after an incredible final round, stayed to congratulate Xander and immediately praised him for winning. Rory bailed like a 14 year old girl who thought she was homecoming queen but someone else was selected instead. I have heard nothing but excuses for Rory from nearly EVERY outlet - I just can't imagine Hogan, or Jack, or someone with actual class and dignity doing that. Gracious in defeat, humble in victory, not many PGA pros seem to show those qualities anymore.
Bryson was clearly more comfortable than Rory… wasn’t faking stoicism. He’s meant to be on that stage and not afraid to pour his heart into it and freely act like himself. Lots of freedom there.
The first putt Rory missed on 16 was bad, the one on 18 was not easy at all. It broke 6 in in a 3 foot putt and I dont say thats a choke. Bryson Won that turny.
The margins at top level golf are so small - a better lie on 18 then Rory may well have won it and everyone would be saying that Bryson choked by not hitting a fairway all day. I was rooting for Bryson as he comes across as a decent guy - he definitely knows how to play the fans and the public perception - and he waited to shake Xanders hand at the last major even yhough he would have been gutted to have lost.
Kindly, for the love of God, remove that eye-straining "on air" sign. I greatly enjoy your podcast, but that sign is so visually painful that I am seriously considering unsubscribing permanently. On a more golf-related topic: Åberg was in the lead for the first two days- Then crached and burned. I know he's not from Great Britain, but still, there's nothing to say about that and the fact that his injury seems to affect his golf? Playing basically only the majors right now can't give him enough golf to stay sharp in all types of situations!
Rory took driver out on the 18th & tried to play a cut. A shot that he hadn't played all day. He had been playing a draw. As for driving away not facing the press would he get any pass if Sheffler had won? He has putting problems. Simple. Even Brad Faxon can't fix him.
I'm a Rory fan but how you can say Bryson didn't win it ...Rory lost it... Bryson struggled around all day...never gave up....never got petulant....then on 18 ripped the trophy back out of Rory's hand... unbelievable focus and strength of mind... They all struggled they all dropped shots...Bryson just handled it the best He won it no doubt...and the crowd loved it Rory sulking off not talking to anyone....not a good look at the 3rd Major
Both things can be true. Rory had it in the bag and Bryson did everything in his power to stay right behind and put max pressure on Rory. Shame it didnt go to extra holes because that would have been more fair outcome and then who knows. This way its as much as Bryson's win as it was Rory's loss.
Bryson is THE most interesting tour golfer, like his driving, by a long distance. Tourney golf bored me to death. Bryson is a golf geek and his enthusiasm for the game is engaging
I have to Thank Pete for His Pinehurst video just before the major. It made me look so forward to watching pros out there and what they were in for. Couldn’t believe Rory didn’t bring it home. Very Well played Bryson what a Lad and neves of steel.
Bryson was leading going into Sunday and never fell more than few shots behind Sunday.. So Jacobs a little delusional if he thinks it was Rorys to lose 😂 Yes Rory played well, but didn't exacute while Bryson was lagging.. So to see Bryson scramble back after dismal drives was pretty special. Made the win even more spectacular in my opinion. It was Seve esq to see him recover on the 18th (and interact with the crowd). 😎👌
No one has mentioned this but Bryson's drive on the last hit a marshal and went left under the tree, if it had not hit him it would have been beside the stand and he would have gotten line of sight relieve, which would have made for an easier finish. Also the simple truth is that golf has become an emotionless game, neither Scheffler or Schauffele broke a smile while winning majors, fans are fed up, DeChambeau is a breath of fresh air showing his emotions and being a dynamic golfer helps..
I think you are wrong on this one. Different emotions surface in different circumstances. Bryson's emotions(and Rory's in the storm off after) were fueled by the fact it was close battle and he was trailing behind and had to hit incredible shots to win. He wouldnt have reacted the same if he had 6 shot lead going into back nine. He put all his mastery of the game on display and delivered which caused eruption of emotions just like Tiger used to.
While I do understand his position, I do not give Rory a pass on such piss poor sportsmanship. So much so that unless he offers an apology I am no longer a Rory fan full stop. Congrats to Bryson who proved at the PGA he is a true gentleman. Fully deserved the 🏆
The question I have is if Rory won, would we be talking about Bryson losing it after he missed that short putt and couldn’t keep driver in play all day. Especially after starting the day 3 shots up.
Does Rory need another Caddie to get him over the line in the Majors?🤔 Surely some of the decisions made in the final holes could’ve been thought through better?
From a US perspective, Rory was in a zone and should have won it. Something snapped in the last 4 holes and the bogeys hit him. Chamblee on the Golf channel was so critical of the "routine" of Rory that ruined his rhythm pulling the putts. Bryson changed his driver's head on the range and only hit 5 fairways. Bryson scrambled and embraced the challenge fighting the course all day. Bryson won it with a 55 yard bunker shot (the hardest shot in golf) because nothing bothered his mental game... he fought through it. That is what the fans witnessed and were in awe. Rory lost his focus for some reason. He will recover and win more, but the US saw a character flaw when Rory did not stay around to congratulate BD nor even speak to the press. That will gnaw at his mental game far too long. He could have gone a long way if he did the right thing and would have healed faster. Now he will face adversity with the wound. I hope he takes time off and mends his marriage. He needs to learn from this and he will. As for Bryson, many fans have been waiting for someone to energize the crowd since Phil and Tiger are memories. It was the best US Open I can remember and the course won. Ask Scotty Sheffler. Good talk and I enjoyed it.
Agree, it was the best US Open since Payne Stewart sunk that putt on 18 to win. It was one for the ages for sure. To end with that adversity and brilliant scrambling was just epic.
If you watch all of Rory's last round he was playing almost perfect golf up until the last few holes. He had already holed some huge putts and also a bunch of putts inside 10ft for par saves. It was inevitable that he was going to make a mistake or miss a putt at some point(because that's golf!) but unfortunately for him it happened at the time it did. If he'd have missed those 2 short putts at the start of his round and then played perfect golf towards the end then it would have been a different story. He'll be back, no question about it. He's just had some really bad luck with some equally as bad timing.
I understand you guys being Rory fans. But if you sincerely believe that Rory lost the US Open more than Bryson won it, wouldn’t you also have to believe that Rory never actually took the lead on Sunday as much as Bryson gave it to him?
I disagree that Rory lost. Both Bryson and Rory both had bogeys that they shouldn't of had. If anything Bryson almost choked. But in the end, Bryson made the the shots when he needed to Win. Even if Rory made that putt on 18, he would have most likely lost in a playoff. Why do I say that? Because Bryson wanted it more! And the crowd wanted it for him.
Everyone needs to stop this Rory lost it storyline. Majority of tournaments something like this happens, where someone is leading then doesn’t pull it off. Last man standing is the winner. That’s all, and that’s it. Otherwise you “ if this, if that” endlessly, for every tournament. Bryson won, end of.
Giving rory a break on leaving without congrats to bryson is lame. Hes the face of PGA. If bryson left without shaking Rorys hand. He would get flamed forever.
Bryson won the tournament. If Bryson was in the club house and Rory missed the putt to win, Rory would have lost the tournament. What happen was Bryson made an up and down to win. It doesn't matter that he was over par that day. Bryson won on a difficult up and down.
US Open coverage in Australia in American adds would change to Aussie commentators and we would get an update on Australian players. It worked well. Bryson is my favourite golfer, sorry Tommy. He’s so unique. Imagine him winning The Open on links but his way. High Boms Shipley and Clayton the amateurs were awesome on the last day
Bryson won it, Rory didn't loose it. They both played the same last holes and Bryson put himself enough clear on Saturday so he could survive the carnage that ensues late on Sunday (despite both of them trying to lose it on the 18th with their drivers). And no one can say he didn't clinch the win with that tremendous bunker shot. Rory put himself in two poor putting positions and paid the penalty. He let the shaft stand up on that first one and pulled it off the toe. He then left himself above the hole with a right hander's nightmare of a putt and wasn't able to release the putter head down the line. He missed his line by six inches on that putt. He shouldn't have been above the hole to begin with.
@@christianrayburn1930 Just because someone gets ahead by two or three doesn't mean they are destined to win. Bryson was three ahead at the beginning of the day and he won by surviving the difficult conditions that everyone had to contend with. Rory's inconsistent game may have gotten him the lead, but it also lost it for him. Last man standing had the best short game and par putting.
He waited to see if he won which was the second last shot of the day and then almost ran to get out of the clubhouse and to the car park, could have easily just waited a minute and said congrats. Bryson was on the range waiting to see if he was getting a playoff in the pga champs the other week and he didn’t just bail when it didn’t happen, he waited and went to congratulate Xander. One guy had some class in defeat and one guy didn’t.
I think this goes back to Pete's advice to any youtuber out there just make videos and make it your own with your personality and just do it. I think Bryson even talked about he went through a time where he almost stopped playing and this allowed a different outlet to let his true personality shine through and its great.
I tried playing the 4th day setup on the simulator yesterday and those greens are almost impossible to hit for an amateur - even from the white tees. It actually got very frustrating. The TV doesn't do justice to just how evil the greens are and how many times you're left with a shortsided, downhill bunker shot after running off a green.. There is absolutely zero chance a mid-handicapper gets round in less than 120.
The USGA added over 500 yards to #2 for the Open. The tips normally play at 6900 yards. The Open played at 7500 yards. This is the kind of thing the USGA can plan when they know the tournament rotation for the next 30 years 😀
You guys are so "Spot-On" regarding main stream American televised golf. I loved (past tense intended) watching golf, but then it became watching guys putt, and having 40 minutes of commercials during a given hour. Awful. It is why The Masters for us Americans is the best tournament to watch because there are only 3 sponsors and limited commercials. For me, it is the singular reason that discovering You Tube golf last year was so much fun and it is now probably 50% of the content I view on TV. Not just on You Tube, but entirely! Last point is that Bryson won the U.S. Open with that 50+ yard bunker shot followed up with the 4 footer under U.S. Open pressure. If he'd made a pedestrian par on the last it would have felt like Rory's 2 short misses were bigger. I think it would have made a really compelling story to have Rory win another major after a 10 year absence. Great job on the podcast fella's...
Yes - the NBC coverage was AWFUL. Got back from an advert break on the final day to the crowd going wild and the commentators saying 'WOW!! WHAT A CHIP!', then it cut away again. I've still no idea who did what.
I am huge fan of Peter Finch and the Rough Cut Golf Podcast but you got this wrong! Bryson won by closing when he had to. Rory punted sportsmanship out of bounds! Being a man is knowing how to loose! $2.2m and all the fedex points is not a good reason to act like a child! Until he becomes a gracious looser he doesn't deserve to win again. It's easy to win, deal with coming in second.
In Bryson's case, the LIV tour schedule works better for him because he's such a golf nerd that likes to deep dive into gear and testing, etc. allowing him that time to fine tune things and do a RUclips channel. The RUclips channel helped with his likeability and on screen personality, allowing him to be more of a performer, basically like a dress rehearsal for him.
This was Bryson’s win. I don’t give a crap about about rory.. BD had to hit that incredible bunker shot and to make that putt to secure the win and he did. It is his win not Rory’s loss. Deal with it 🤷♂️

Peter, you are a You Tube golfer. Bryson is a professional golfer who happens to have a you tube channel. Big difference. Cheers.
@EC8862 must be terrible to live a life of jealousy, lol
LIV "Our golfer won the US Open!" RUclips pushes LIV over and takes their golfer away. "OUR golfer won the US Open!!!"
Noticed the same. Bryson better due to RUclips, or because LIV allows him to play less comps and train more?
@@SwePalm I think it's more that LIV allows him to play a season without feeling like it's an absolute grind. He can play his 10 or so LIV events, 4 majors and find plenty of time to film RUclips videos without feeling like he is being driven into the ground physically and mentally. I think he has also found the enjoyment of the game that got him into it to begin with. A lot of pros tend to lose that after years of grinding on tour.
Morning lads, do you have the starting times for Hesketh on Monday, Open website a little vague so looking at what time to arrive..Many thanks
"We don't want to make this a Rory pity party" but that is sort of what you're doing.
always notice with libs...they will deflect from their true intention. they always talk upside down talk
Bryson won ... I think they are Rory fanboys. 😂
Absolutely 💪🏻😎🤘🏻

Rory is in good company.
If Bryson isn't playing I'm a Rory fan. Rory lost because Bryson played better than him throughout the tournament.
6:23 "Only problem with eureka moments, well is they only last 3 rounds and 3/4s, everybody knows that." 💥BoOMM!!! Quote of the year!
We all understand WHY, but it is still poor sportsmanship.
Totally agree. Of course it was bad sportsmanship, but if anyone can be forgiven for this, it's Rory given all the circumstances. He's normally as accessible to the media as anyone so people shouldn't make a big deal out of this.
Great US Open but the course looked scruffy on screen compared to when Payne Stewart won in 1999 IMO.
RUclips reigned me back in after 12 years out of game. Dam you 😂
Bryson lost by 1 shot after an incredible final round, stayed to congratulate Xander and immediately praised him for winning.
33:39 Bryson crashes Johnson's set: ruclips.net/video/yVVTaaRC-FA/видео.html
Never heard an American say "telecast". Sounds much more British.
Rory is following Greg Norman in becoming a masterchoker
Bryson was clearly more comfortable than Rory… wasn’t faking stoicism. He’s meant to be on that stage and not afraid to pour his heart into it and freely act like himself. Lots of freedom there.
Rory did miss the 18th fairway Friday with a 3 wood… Driver is his by far best club. No advantage to hitting 3w there
Rory is the new Greg Norman, irony is delicious
Why do you like Rory?
The first putt Rory missed on 16 was bad, the one on 18 was not easy at all. It broke 6 in in a 3 foot putt and I dont say thats a choke. Bryson Won that turny.
The margins at top level golf are so small - a better lie on 18 then Rory may well have won it and everyone would be saying that Bryson choked by not hitting a fairway all day. I was rooting for Bryson as he comes across as a decent guy - he definitely knows how to play the fans and the public perception - and he waited to shake Xanders hand at the last major even yhough he would have been gutted to have lost.
Hes now 730,000
Kindly, for the love of God, remove that eye-straining "on air" sign.
Yeah but how will you know if they're ON AIR or not without the sign? Duh
@@christianrayburn1930 LOL
Rory needs to see a sports psychologist. He has huge scar tissue that definitely stopped him winning the us open. I was absolutely gutted for him.
Rory took driver out on the 18th & tried to play a cut. A shot that he hadn't played all day. He had been playing a draw.
As for driving away not facing the press would he get any pass if Sheffler had won?
He has putting problems. Simple. Even Brad Faxon can't fix him.
False. Bryson hit ONE green out of the native area and three pitch outs… the green he did hit was over 60ft away
Rory withdrew, said next tournament is Scottish open
Maybe Rory should've stayed and taken a brief interview. Not really sure why though. He's not gonna give anything more than, "yeah that sucked" 🤷♂️
Saying Rory lost is it hilarious cope
Did you watch the final round!? 😂😂😂
I know where the Masters will be played the next 50 years.....
Bryson won it! Rory lost! Don’t agree with you guys at all!
Greatest ever, I don't think so! There are at least 10 that were better than this one.
It's plainly obvious that RM is a complete arse.
I'm sorry. No one deserves a major. It's not healthcare or shelter. It's a competiton. Rory can't just win having some good stats.
british simpin commence
I'm a Rory fan but how you can say Bryson didn't win it ...Rory lost it...
Bryson struggled around all day...never gave up....never got petulant....then on 18 ripped the trophy back out of Rory's hand... unbelievable focus and strength of mind...
They all struggled they all dropped shots...Bryson just handled it the best
He won it no doubt...and the crowd loved it
Rory sulking off not talking to anyone....not a good look at the 3rd Major
Both things can be true. Rory had it in the bag and Bryson did everything in his power to stay right behind and put max pressure on Rory. Shame it didnt go to extra holes because that would have been more fair outcome and then who knows. This way its as much as Bryson's win as it was Rory's loss.
I agree love BD Rory should grow up stop acting like a spoilt child and show some class
Bryson is THE most interesting tour golfer, like his driving, by a long distance. Tourney golf bored me to death. Bryson is a golf geek and his enthusiasm for the game is engaging
The Rough Cut is the most important part of my week. If I’m driving, I have to stop and listen/watch. If I’m home, everything stops!
Bryson also acknowledged the Crushers, reading between the lines it seems that Paul Casey played a big part after the death of Brysons Dad
I have to Thank Pete for His Pinehurst video just before the major. It made me look so forward to watching pros out there and what they were in for.
Couldn’t believe Rory didn’t bring it home. Very Well played Bryson what a Lad and neves of steel.
Yes I watched Kwon and Shaun and a few others. Made it more interesting when following the big boys do their thing
Bryson was leading going into Sunday and never fell more than few shots behind Sunday.. So Jacobs a little delusional if he thinks it was Rorys to lose 😂
Yes Rory played well, but didn't exacute while Bryson was lagging.. So to see Bryson scramble back after dismal drives was pretty special. Made the win even more spectacular in my opinion. It was Seve esq to see him recover on the 18th (and interact with the crowd). 😎👌
Every single LIV player says how much the team dynamic helps them, especially off the course
All the “Rory lost it, Bryson didn’t win it” talk is just a bitter batch of copium
Does Rory need another Caddie to get him over the line in the Majors?🤔
Surely some of the decisions made in the final holes could’ve been thought through better?
😂😂 typical ... Bryson won and everyone else lost. 😂😅
Rory fans??? 😂
🤘🏻😎🤘🏻
100%
Sometimes golf is a kick in the butt...
I keep saying Rory will never ever ever win a Major again. Great player we all know that but time has pasted him by. Please prove me wrong Rory...
Brysons driver caved in on the driving range
26:13 Indeed! That's why I dumped cable TV for good, 'cause here in the States you pay for advertising, not for content. A total shame!
Just me or were sky broadcaster really biased towards Rory? They had very few kind words to say about Bryson and were fully on the Rory train
Sky are a joke.
i dont mind rory not speaking to the media - dont blame him - but i do think he should have waited to congratulate bryson
Agree but not a big deal if he sent him a text or something
If it wasn't Rory not winning for the last decade ..just say Taylor Gooch ..what would you be saying about him ??
Bryson won the tournament. If Bryson was in the club house and Rory missed the putt to win, Rory would have lost the tournament. What happen was Bryson made an up and down to win. It doesn't matter that he was over par that day. Bryson won on a difficult up and down.
I mostly enjoy Pete's videos but these podcasts are cringe...
US Open coverage in Australia in American adds would change to Aussie commentators and we would get an update on Australian players. It worked well. Bryson is my favourite golfer, sorry Tommy. He’s so unique. Imagine him winning The Open on links but his way. High Boms
Shipley and Clayton the amateurs were awesome on the last day
PGA does not allow the players to own their own content.
Totally agree, Bryson won it and pulled off the bunker shop at the death!
That is like making a fuss out fo a drug addict getting off drugs. He din't have to go in the bunker int he first place. Rory lost it
Also Bryson missed a putt late just like Rory but they don’t want to mention that.
@@christianrayburn1930 I appreciate you commenting, though. This podcast actually makes me want to participate.
Micah Morris then Bryson. RUclips golfers are beating up on Rory lately.
😂
I asked this on a different channel. What second place player, in a different group, waits around to shake hands with the winner?
Many thanks, thanks for keeping it real
