His voice, his British accent is divine! He’s not only handsome, he’s very magnetic and looks very classy.
Totally Agree
Couldn’t agree more! 👏👏👏👏
I couldn’t agree more 👍🏼🌷
He’s good. Every time he portrait new roles he became new character completely
I was barely aware of this man’s existence until The Crown and now he *my* Favourite - great actor!!
He's awesome in, Outlander. What a fine actor is he.
He is charming and definitely takes his character to heart.
I fell in love with him in Outlander. He has a commanding voice. With this man the best is yet to come. Under utilized actor.
Yes!
Yes, I binged Outlander before I binged Game of Thrones and I am glad I did
Absolutely! 😍😍😍
Gosh his voice. I used to think that “weak knee” feeling was hyperbole, but hearing him speak... 😍
And of course, he’s a talented underrated actor.
I feel that it's gonna be hard for him to beat his performance in Rome (2005-'07).
This man is handsome 😍
and his voice is everything
Mahamud Khalif Ikr! WHOO CHILE 😍♥️😭
He’s a daddy. We saw Matt smiths bum. Why couldn’t we see his?
he is😭❤️
He’s handsome. You only see that when you see him without the costumes and make up.
I can see he’s handsome as the king. Good chemistry with Olivia.
I loved watching him. He has this thing about him...he commands authority
Claire Foy being paid LESS than Matt Smith?!? Have you watched her performance as the Queen?! She MADE the whole damn show! Netflix be trippin'.
It's not to do with merit. At the time, Matt Smith was significantly more famous than Claire Foy was which is why he was more expensive.
Adam and he was male.
@@startracker5895 I highly doubt he was paid more because he is a male. That's been illegal for decades. It was because he was more famous.
@@Adam-nb6imWhen the show started I didn't know who he was but did know her.
N Peace Well you’re in the minority. She was hardly in anything before The Crown. Matt Smith was Doctor Who for 3 years.
His character as Jack Randall is 🔥
I cried when he died. Is that bad?
@@Nazinsky Nope. Not bad at all. Lolu
John Wick I clapped
@@Nazinsky omg he died?? Well he certainly deserved it.
@@Nazinsky No. I miss Black Jack too..is not the same without him 🖤
He’s plays a smashing role as Prince Philip.
Your brain starts to fizz a bit...... He's soooo cute😍😍
"Age suits you well Brutus!"☺️
LOVED him in "Rome." His Brutus broke my heart. Very complex intense characterization.
He's so great in Rome. Ciaran Hinds too. Love that storyline between Brutus and Caesar too. My favorite storyline in the show.
He’s a daddy 😍
One of the best actors around.
He is good in this one, but in Outlander he is amazing.
good interview and tobias answered them really well
Yay, Tobias!
Would not say I'm a fan of Englishmen, but Tobias stands apart; he is so well-spoken and diligent in directing the conversation...even when made an underdog, it is quite remarkable.
Totally having the hots for a redcoat over here!!
Jesus, he is so 😍....
Tobias, mi amor, mi amor, mi amor.
What a cool guy I loved him in Persuasion and in Outlander
He’s so handsome and underrated actor
Superb Actor! Looking forward to see The Crown.
The way Helena rolls her eyes in this clip had me in stitches :)
Love Tobias’ take - such a great choice in casting.
Que lindo es . Gracias
" Uncle, please sit down " - Sansa stark 😆😆
LOL......I am glad I saw him in Outlander first because he would not have been convincing enough for me If I saw him in "GOT" first ......I binged both series
He played the character in GOT so well
Both Tobias Menzies and Matt Smith have a lot more hair in the TV Series; than the real Philip lol, Philip was going bald probably in his thirties. Menzies is much better looking than Prince Philip.
My complete love
Brutus of the Junii
I had forgotten he played Brutus. Rome was a great series
Watched first episode, great! Now I want to watch the movie-The Tamarind Seed (1974). Excuse me, I have to put in the DVD now.
idk bout yall, but for me he protrays both matt smith and prince philip so well. he is perfect for that role
Daddy ♥
Under rated actor
Absolutely love Tobias... perfect addition to The Crown... make one look more into the monarchy
Tobias Menzies es muy muy parecido al actor español Ángel Garasa nacido en 1907 en Madrid. Ignoro si Tobias lo sabe.
SOMEHOW TOBIAS I DOUBT YOUR FEAR OF THE DUKE OF EDINBURGH CALLING TO CRITIQUE YOUR PERFORMANCE WILL EVER BE REALIZED
Really Brutus?
A few episodes into the new season and Tobias Menzies is great as Prince Philip. Not into the actress playing the queen. Or maybe just bad writing for her character.
She is good too but we all got spoiled with Claire
@@virgoqueen8950 Claire's version was more likeable so maybe that's my problem.
she play's the older queen and does an excellent job!
I had to get over missing Claire Foy and I did! Once you get to episode 3 or so you’ll start to like Olivia Colman. She’s really very good.
Alimenty 10000 netto, podwyżka pensji 30000 netto
He was one of the highlights of an awful final GOT episode
The pay gender gap is a real issue in all work fields that's for sure . Still, In this case one needs to consider the artists' power of drawing public to any show too. Someone who won an Oscar can play only leading roles or special guest appearances and needs to be paid accordingly. Menzies is far from Colman's fee at the moment. If Prince Philip were played by let's say by Matthew McConaughey and QE by Emilia Clark, it would be the other way round. So it's not that easy to establish rules since we are also talking about huge amounts of money retribution. TV and cinema are not firms or factories where actors, males and females, must be equally paid, it's quite different. I was a casting manager so I know what I say.
Do your research about pay gender gap and you will see that you're post is incorrect.
There is no actual pay gap. Aside from Hollywood acting roles, in the real world, there definitely is no such thing as a pay gap. Women typically make different career choices than men and get paid according to those career choices. The pay gap is nothing but a tiresome myth.
;
Just look at the box office results from the Ghostbusters reboot or the new Charlie's Angels or even Terminator and that'll explain the pay gap
Will it? How so?
I don't think it has anything to do with the pay gap. If Hollywood were to stop ruining films with their hidden political agendas, and just deliver an entertaining film then I'm sure people would have less to complain about
This is all coming from a 19 year old with a usually neutral approach to politics by the way, although this may sound incredibly biased😂
bower Thomas ...but what about all the male lead movies this year that have also bombed hello Brad Pitt and Matthew Macounhey.
Tobias is a amasing actor and is seems like a very nice person too. A plus for any show without a doubt 🙂👍
Loved him in Outlander.
Wow they asked him about his pay!!?!
Tobias is such a tactful sweetheart!
He's a MUCH better Phillip than the other....👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼 The first guy barely let Tobias speak!
They should all make less than Helena Bonham Carter lol
She is brilliant in every movie that she does
Oh? I think she’s good as Margaret
put him in a bond film
he was in Casino Royale
I don`t watch Outlander and can still not remember his name. Meanwhile Olivia is a british treasur plays the lead and I think this season Margrethe is even more important than Phillip. So it`s only fair that he makes less. In the first season Matt had been the doctor and brings whovians to the show and Claire had the more important role more screen time more lines so I guess equal pay was fair.
Well you not remembering his name, takes absolutely nothing away from the fact that Tobias is a BRILLIANT actor, loved by many. More talent in his pinky finger than most of Hollywood put together. Period.
@@ACS402010 I'm sure he is I didn't mean to be rude. Just saying as prince Phillip isn't as important as the queen and has less screen time and he's no superstar either I understand that he makes less than Oliva does for that show
@@stephjovi Cut the BS. You were talking about the ACTOR himself, not him playing the character of Philip. Stop trying to imply you were referring to the fact that Phillip is not that important. Tobias Menzies is Tobias Menzies...in other words, he's not Phillip. Stop trying to spin your original comment into something else. And as for Olivia Coleman being a "national treasure", she may be that in the UK, but most people outside the UK have no clue who she is.
@@ACS402010 I've loved her since Broadchurch she's won an Oscar. I'm not British. I barely remember now what the whole thing was about but I think it was about payment and that he makes less than her. She's got way more lines way more screen time and plays the more important character. She won an Oscar. That's all that should ever matter anyways.
Stephanie I’m not british either I have no idea of who was Olivia Coleman before her Oscar winning
Tobias menzies for the new 007
Great actor
Preferred Matt Smith.
they are both good but Matt & Claire did spoil us
Star tracker say the person who is afraid of taking risk
It’s just a matter of getting used to new people and then you’ll like them. I watched the whole season and now I’d miss them if the others returned!
Matt Smith was horribly miscast in the role. Looks nothing like the real Philip. Forehead to square and too Frankenstein-ish.
I do too.
