This 13 year old boy recently committed suicide in his first yard. Another young girl left her home early morning hours a few months ago but she was found safely. So many terrible stories.

When I was 12 my parents made sure I was home by dark unless I had a school activity,than she drove us or made us kids walk home together,never alone specially my sister.

That's not what they said. She didn't go to meet the boyfriend, she was talking to him on the phone when she was at the convenience store and he could hear her, over the phone, talking to two men. The bf wasn't there.

We had a " boyfriend" at 12 year's old. The difference is, my Dad told us we couldn't date until we were at least 16 year's old, and we didn't have cell phone's or social media, to get us into trouble. We respected our parent's and their rule's. A 12 year old feel's invincible and doesn't think like an adult, for those of you that are blaming her. No she shouldn't have left her house, but again, she was 12 year's old. EVIL people are to blame! Her parent's have to sleep sometime, and probably that's what they were doing. We had alarm's set on our house for year's as three of our children were teenager's at the same time and no cellphone's until they were old enough to pay for them. Children are influenced by their peer's so easily. So sorry for her and her family. God bless.

I do not blame her parents for the Alleged boyfriend lured her out of the house sneaking out to see him late at night alone at 7-11 then walk home again alone which is where this took a tragic turn. At this point someone saw her as vulnerable and she was attacked. Her parents had no idea she had snuck out. I want to know if his parents knew he snuck out of their house. I hope he is happy with his selfish decision. He gets to have a life grow up get married have kids. She was robbed of that. No one is blaming his luring her outside alone. He is at fault here. He saw her talking to adults strange men outside 7-11, he did nothing, he said nothing, he didn't alert store employee, he kept his mouth shut and got home safely. He could have said something that might but was just like 'meh whatever.'
