    Thank you for covering clean tones without shredding. I'm a rhythm player and nearly every review/demo is metal shredding and zero focus on other tonal aspects. I judge a device on the cleans. If it sucks in that department, I won't bother trying a piece of gear out.

      I can't shred, but maybe that's a good thing for now lol.

    Definitely check out the flamma fx100. It would be a great comparison video. I've been told that they have the same internal guts as the mooerge150
    I just upgraded from the ge100 to the flamma and am looking forward to checking out some of its sounds.

    Great video! I have a question though. When I plug my GE150 to the computer, the recording volume is really low but the sound I hear (via headphones) is loud enough. Have you experienced such problem?

    • @GrowWithGuitar
      @GrowWithGuitar  3 года назад

      I haven't tried the OTG or the USB connection yet, but I have noticed the same thing happen with the 1/4" output. The volume isn't balanced, but I am guessing that might be because you can raise the volume on your computer after recording and it is generally better to record at lower volumes so you don't clip or distort the signal. If you are connecting to your computer, you should monitor it by plugging your headphones to your computer and not the GE150. I might do a video comparing the different connections to show the difference in volume and potentially tone.

    Joseph, great video. thanks for this. Are you using this still? I'm thinking about buying one next week. It's just over my budget but I think I can manage it. What are your honest opinions about this. Should I buy ge150 or check the other alternatives.

      also, your channel deserves a lot more attention!

    • @GrowWithGuitar

      Hey! Thanks for your kind words. Over the long term, I am planning to make more videos checking out all the multi effect pedals. So far, I have only checked out the mooer ge100 and ge150, but in the future I will be checking out multi effects from valeton, flamma, and maybe nux in this price range. As far as the ge100 and ge150 go, the ge150 is a lot better in terms of versatility and sound quality. Personally, the best thing about the ge150 is the reverb and delay. After that, it has decent drive tones. So if you are debating between the ge100 and ge150, I recommend spending extra on the ge150.
      Regarding other multi effects
      Aside from the tone, which I still need to test, the differences between multi effect pedals seem to be smaller (user interface, differences in amount of presets, drum patterns, loop time, effects, etc.). They all seem to be capable of being used as an audio interface that you can record directly to your computer or phone as well.
      Depending on what you are looking for, the Fender mustang micro (guitar headphone amp) might be a good alternative as well. I will be getting that in the mail in a couple of days and will make a review video shortly after.

      @@GrowWithGuitar thanks for your answer. There is zoom g1x four in this price range but ge150 sounds so natural compared to zoom. I guess I'll go with ge150

    • @GrowWithGuitar
      @GrowWithGuitar  3 года назад +2

      Actually I got the zoom g1x four without the expression pedal, but decided to scrap the video idea because it doesn't sound good. Ge150 definitely sounds better.

    • @canari9206

      @@GrowWithGuitar Actually glad to hear that. But comparison video between ge150 and g1x four could be great.
